Israel Knesset Member Declares "We Are Preparing For War"
In an interview by Likud Knesset Member Danny Danon, speaking with WND senior reporter Aaron Klein, who hosts an investigative program on New York's WABC 770 AM Radio, the Israeli said that "Israel is preparing for a time of war...We are ready for all scenarios, and we are able to defend our civilian population. I cannot tell you how long we can wait more. But we prefer to wait and see if the international bodies are acting, or [whether] it will be only the burden of Israel, like it was in the early '80s, when the great leader, Menachem Begin, [made] the great decision to bomb the nuclear reactor in Iraq." He concluded: "We don't want this to be a war of Jews against Muslims. It should be a war of Western civilization [against] Iran." Good luck explaining that to 1.5 billion Muslims around the world.
From 77WABC Radio, specifically WND's Jerusalem Bureau:
While Israel is hoping for a peaceful resolution to Iran's nuclear ambitions, the Jewish state is also preparing for "a time of war," declared a Knesset member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ruling Likud party.
"We are prepared for all risks," said Likud Knesset Member Danny Danon. "And I think our enemies should know that even though we are speaking of peace, we are getting ready for a time of war, as well."
Danon, the deputy speaker of Israel's parliament, was speaking in a radio interview with WND senior reporter Aaron Klein, who hosts an investigative program on New York's WABC 770 AM Radio.
Danon hinted that Israel may take action if the world does not stop the Iranian nuclear threat, recalling Israel's lone strike on Iraq's nuclear reactor in 1981.
Stated Danon: "We are ready for all scenarios, and we are able to defend our civilian population. I cannot tell you how long we can wait more. But we prefer to wait and see if the international bodies are acting, or [whether] it will be only the burden of Israel, like it was in the early '80s, when the great leader, Menachem Begin, [made] the great decision to bomb the nuclear reactor in Iraq."
Despite his assertion that Jerusalem is preparing to act alone, Danon stressed that Iran is an international concern. He called on the Western world to "take action" against Iran's suspected illicit nuclear program.
"I think we have to take action," he said. "It's about time to take action. It should be the international world and not only Israel. And I expect the administration in the White House to wake up as soon as possible."
Danon said he is concerned the international community has not been forceful enough in its policies toward Iran.
"What we see today is that the Russians, the Americans, the Europeans all say they are worried about Iran becoming nuclear, but in fact Iran is working full ahead, and it's only a matter of months or a year before they will be reaching the point of no return," he said.
Danon stated that any future military confrontation against Iran "should be an international effort."
"We don't want this to be a war of Jews against Muslims. It should be a war of Western civilization [against] Iran," he said.
"The threat of Iran becoming nuclear is a threat for the people who live in the U.S., Europe and Israel." he said. "No one can guarantee that Iran will use its power only against Israel."
And with that, we look forward to another stock meltup tomorrow.

"You just keep sticking up for Israel and demonizing all Arabs and Americans that don't buy into Jewish brainwashing.. You still have numbers on your side.. Use them while you can."
I "stick up" for the idea that there are Jewish/Israeli people who are being persecuted for the actions of their government. For those people - yes. I would also stick up for any American who was being persecuted for the actions of their government. As far as my Arab brother - I would stick up for him too. To those who choose to attack with a broad stroke of the brush, well, it is easy to point out the obvious.
IMO, You are a bully, Max Hunter. Bullies don't usually win the long race.
The Jews that do not tow the line of the Israeli government are not being persecuted. In whole, I agree with your first paragraph.
Me a bully? OK.. well if that's the label I get for chiming in and resisting the conditioning of MSM then so be it. Both sides seem to degrade the other's position on here. Your prediction of my longevity will prove to be inaccurate.
I hope you are around to provide your impassioned and rational statemants for a long time, Max. The comment about bullies is a general statement, and mostly holds true.
I guess I won't sell my ENERGY STOCKS now.
>>It should be a war of Western civilization [against] Iran<<
Yes, the US fighting proxy for zionist Israel - stupid goddamn US
Isn't Israel also controlled by the Luciferians (Kabbalist so-called-"Jews")? How can Jesus come down and save Israel when they worship Lucifer? "He is not a Jew who is one outwardly" ~ The Bible.

How many Jews are counting on that one? Rhetorical.
Also, it will be interesting to see what the Nobel-Peace-Prize-winning President-Of-The-World does in response to such a destabilizing event. Maybe Peace means War for Nobeloriets.
World Net Daily? Really? I would give it more credibility if you just said you made it up entirely, but citing WND is lower than that.
Yes, ad hominem attacks are so much easier.
For real, only people without rational arguments make ad hominem attacks.
Iran, under United Nations sanctions for its nuclear program, fulfilled a 36-year quest to join the club of atomic-powered nations today when Russia’s Rosatom Corp. switched on a reactor along the Persian Gulf coast.

"Iran denies it plans to make weapons and says the enrichment is for peaceful purposes, such as fueling a medical-research reactor in Tehran'
The first proton beam accelerator fabricated at Los Alamos for creation of the atom bomb was too small. It was eventually obtained by Harvard and used to destroy cancer cells in hard to get at places, like the brain.
It does necessarily follow that because the US killed thousands of Japanese with nuclear weapons that Iran will do something similar.
I agree. No one knows what will happen. The scary part is some people want something to happen.
Agreed.
Almost to the day; Japans economy steps down to #3 in the world and China steps up to #2.
What Andy Grove calls a real point of inflection.
Why can't everyone just get along and be part of one big happy "nuclear" family.
We could have one world currency. The elite could rule the masses and feed us soma while we watched reality tv about a jewish/muslim wedding
We already have one world currency - the US Dollar, backed by the full faith and credit of the US Government.
Flacon, you're definately an old ZH soul
The Zionist dream of a greater Israel is totally dependant on continued immigration from Eastern Europe, France and the US. The present Jewish population in Israel is incapable of holding all the land they presently occupy never mind wanting to invade and occupy Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and parts of Iraq. A large percentage of illegal settlements are only partially occupied due to stagnate population growth. This is in spite of huge grants by US taxpayers paying for the building of the settlements and subsidizing rent or mortgages.
Israel is in desperate need of new immigrants to achieve it’s colonial goals. Ariel Sharon told Congressional leaders that they need 2 million Jews to move to Israel. Eastern Europe has been depleted of large Jewish population centers. That leaves only the US and France as a potential source of immigrants. France's Jewish population is predominately Sephardic Jews from North Africa and other Arab states. In the 50's and 60’s Ashkenazi Jews murdered thousand of Sephardic Jewish children to keep them from gaining political power in the future. The Sephardic Jews in France are in no hurry to leave the good life in France to be possibly slaughtered by racist Israeli Ashkenazi Jews. There is no economic reason for large numbers of American Ashkenazi Jews to immigrate to Israel.
If Israel attacks Iran, huge numbers of Israelis holding foreign passports will leave Israel and go home. This is the Achilles heal of any plan to attack Iran.

Jews, Bitchez! Did I get it right?
The TFR of Israel is roughly 3.0, much higher than it's neighbors.
Wow, worst drivel I've ever had to read. Good luck with your fantasy world.
Keep it down over there, I'm trying to get ready for my fantasy football draft...
This certainly is not a war of Jews against Muslims but that of Zionism against Islam. Zionists vehemently oppose all teachings of Islam from usury (riba) to charity (zakat).
Muslims around the world are not by any means deterred from defending their rights and beliefs during the holy month of Ramadan but instead compelled as witnessed during the Yom Kippur War (Ramadan War) of 1973.
Ok, but how come the Zionist Council on Foreign Relations Imam trying to build a Zionist Mosque on Ground Zero to be opened on Zionist 11, September 2011?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weL_7rpqADQ
No western industrialized nation subscribes to Riba or Zakat, so your arguments lend credence to the arguments by the speaker in the interview.
Riba=usury=interest=pilar of western civilization. Forbidden in Islam.
Zakat=charity to all human kind according to Islamic law but railroaded by the west due to unfounded terrorist funding accusations. Philanthropy in the west for the most part motivated by political or social conditioning purposes.
When did Hitler ever hug jews?

WWIII is kinda like global debt rebalancing. We may as well get it over with as soon as possible, cause if we wait it's just going to be a lot worse for everyone.
War is the cherry on top of Keynesianism. Visualizing Total Annihilation is the climactic-ejaculation of this religion of death.
"The long run is a misleading guide to current affairs. In the long run we are all dead." ~ John Mydard Keynes (A Tract on Monetary Reform (1923) Ch. 3)
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/File:John_Maynard_Keynes.jpg
I cringe inside when I read that well-known Keynes quote. It suggests a lack of soul, which is disquieting since our leaders find so much to admire about the man. Thinking in the long term, about our grandchildren and their children is in fact one of the basic facets of humanity that separates us from, say, chickens. We have chickens in our back yard and they are barely aware of one another; and also like to eat leftover kung pao gee.
hey douchball....do you mean to say that without Israel the Muslims would be wonderful neighbors? No bloody borders? No women beating? No gay hangings? No Child rape? No Hatred of knowledge? Do you mean to say that without Israel muslims around the world would have freedom of religion...you know be able to change when they want to? Would Muslims allow us to build a church in Mecca? All of that would happen if Israel were not around?
What's with the fascination about building a church in Mecca? Are you a resident of Mecca seeking to enjoy your Constitutional right to freedom of religion?
Yo PierreL, I junked you because well, what you typed is junk. We have bloody borders, women beating, gay killing and child molesters masquerading as Catholic priests right here in the US of A. Hatred of knowledge - pffft - public school system.
And how do you know there isn't a church in Mecca? Ever been in Mecca?
If it there was no oil in the ME, do you think we'd give a rats ass about Israel? Would Israel be where it is if there was no oil in ME? Would Israel even be if there was no oil in the ME?
Just looking at it from a different perspective.
I am commenting on your post and not the eternal ME dispute.
There are no churches in Mecca. There are no churches in Saudi Arabia. It is illegal to build a church, practice any faith other than Islam, import a Bible, Teachings of Buddha, Bhagavad Gita, etc. The penalty for breaking this law is death by public beheading. The law remains in force 23 August 2010. The government of Saudi Arabia regularly funds the construction of mosques around the world, including one near the Vatican.
In the mid 1990's a group of Filipino people were holding a Christian prayer meeting (for ex-pat Christian Filipino/a's). They were raided by the Saudi Ministry of Interior Police, after a tip-off from the Mutawwa, aka The Committee for the Preservation of Virtue and the Elimination of Vice.
The two leaders of the service were sentenced to death, ironically to be carried out on Christmas Day. Only the quiet intervention of the US Government put a halt to the executions and resulted in the deportation of the two Filipino's.
I am of no faith, but the continued existence of this law and the failure of any Moslem leader to condemn it reeks of hypocrisy. Once a resident of KSA, I used to drive from Jeddah to Taif, on the road to Mecca. About five miles outside of Mecca there is a checkpoint where people must show their identity card, information on which states their religion. Non-Moslems are ordered to an exit, where they can continue their drive to Taif, but are refused any passage to Mecca. Well before the checkpoint one can be spared the embarrassment of being turned away, as there are signs in numerous languages which state, "Non-Moslem Turnoff Ahead". That passes for civility.
Try building a catholic church in Israel.... Or legally marry a jew if you are non jewish. Israel has nothing to teach us when it comes to morality or equality.
"Or legally marry a jew if you are non jewish"
This one, not so much.
Hey VI,,, Did you ever read this book?.. He addresses this very subject in HIS book based on HIS experiences in Israel. He, and Kazar Jew, his wife, Sephardic. Yeah.. there were problems.

Jack Bernstein: The Life of an American Jew
in Racist Marxist Israel
I am well aware of the tactics of you, my Zionist brethren, use to quiet anyone who attempts to expose any of your subversive acts.
If the person is a Gentile, you cry, "You're anti-semitic" which is nothing more than a smokescreen to hide your actions.
But, if a Jew is the person doing the exposing, you resort to other tactics.
But, NEVER do you try to prove the information wrong.
So, before you start your efforts to quiet me, I OFFER THIS CHALLENGE:
You Zionists assemble a number of Zionist Jews and witnesses to support your position; and I will assemble a like number of anti-Zionist, pro-American Jews and witnesses.
Then, the Zionists and the Anti-Zionists will state their position and debate the material in this book as well as related material — the debate TO BE HELD ON PUBLIC TELEVISION.
Let's explore the information and let the American people decide for themselves if the information is true or false.
ISN'T THAT A FAIR CHALLENGE?
You aren't recieving my message, Max, and I am sure you never will. As far as the Jew non Jew marriage issue - I was speaking from my own persoanl experience - nothing more.
If you haven't already read my response to your post above, head back that way. You have me confused with someone else - that you are clearly angry with.
As i've stated before, the Jews I know couldn't care less who their children marry as long as they are happy. For the most part, the Jews in America are far from what I would call racists.
I think it is important to understand there is a big difference between Jews in Israel and Jews in America.
So now I have anger issues..LMAO..
I will go back to see if I am misinterpreting your statements. From what I can see from the majority of your posts, we are not as far from each other as it would appear. But, it does seem to me that you defend some positions that in my opinion are examples of a consensus that should be challenged.
I have said in the past, the Jews are as much a victim of Zionist agenda as others, and in some cases more so.
I have a sincere admiration for many Jews I know personally and many I have read about, but I will not let that influence my opinion of what is going on in the ME.
IMO, there is a great crime being committed against brown people perpetrated by the west, and Israel is front and center along with the U.S.
If the moderate Jews of Israel and America had more of a voice, I truly think we would have a fraction of the problems we see. Unfortunately, they have the same challenges that Americans have in that the "fear" card being used to mold consensus is quite effective.
I sincerely do hope we are closer together than appearances suggest - time will tell.
Indeed. I agree..
Yes and history has proven that for hundreds of years. In fact, the Jews seeked protection by Muslims whenever they lived under their rule....including Iran today. Remember it's not a fight between Islam and Judaism.
Pierre this is possibly the single stupidest thing Ive read on here.
because none of those things have ever happened in the US either have they?
ignorant fuckwit
funny (and true)

Dear RichardP, Could you please clarify a few points below for our fellow ZHers'.
1.how do you reconcile this latest revelation with your comments yesterday that "the iranians do not feel threatened by israel"?
2. Should we just assume that all your posts on this site are totally detached from reality?
Thank you in advance for clearing this up for us, we look forward to your response.
Megaphone must be down tonight. Where's Rudy Vallee when you need him?
That's funny. I like a sense of humor.
yeah i thought that was pretty funny too, glad you liked it.
I'm hoping this is a non-event. I got real worried for a second and then thought... hold on, they're always preparing for a war.
Maybe Iran really does need the electricity...

Apparently Iran's government shut down for a couple of days with everyone getting a holiday, most think it was to conserve electricity.
"most think it was to conserve electricity."
lol - i thought it read "to observe electricity." No direspect to my fellow brothers and sisters.
You know what? Israel has been preparing for war since1948. They are a war nation. They are armed to the teeth. They have the latest military technology that American taxpayers can buy—nuclear weapons, fighter jets, missiles carriers… They are an armed camp.
“We are ready for all scenarios, and we are able to defend our civilian population. I cannot tell you how long we can wait more. But we prefer to wait and see if the international bodies are acting, or [whether] it will be only the burden of Israel, like it was in the early '80s, when the great leader, Menachem Begin, [made] the great decision to bomb the nuclear reactor in Iraq." -- Danny Danon
Translation: To make sure Big Uncle Sam Goldstein is standing by with the carriers and the newspapermen to cast the story in the right light… and the U.S. Marines from Minnesota and Illinois and Georgia who will die for the cause…
As for ol’ innocent-blood-on-his-hands Menachem Begin…
"We created terror among the Arabs and all the villages around. In one blow, we changed the strategic situation." -- Menachem Begin
The Deir Yassin Massacre by William Martin | CounterPunch | May 13, 2004
On April 9, 1948, members of the underground Jewish terrorist group, the Irgun, or IZL, led by Menachem Begin, who was to become the Israeli prime minister in 1977, entered the peaceful Arab village of Deir Yassin, massacred 250 men, women, children and the elderly, and stuffed many of the bodies down wells. There were also reports of rapes and mutilations. The Irgun was joined by the Jewish terrorist group, the Stern Gang, led by Yitzhak Shamir, who subsequently succeeded Begin as prime minister of Israel in the early '80s, and also by the Haganah, the militia under the control of David Ben Gurian. The Irgun, the Stern Gang and the Haganah later joined to form the Israeli Defense Force. Their tactics have not changed.
The massacre at Deir Yassin was widely publicized by the terrorists and the numerous heaped corpses displayed to the media. In Jaffe, which was at the time 98 percent Arab, as well as in other Arab communities, speaker trucks drove through the streets warning the population to flee and threatening another Deir Yassin. Begin said at the time, "We created terror among the Arabs and all the villages around. In one blow, we changed the strategic situation."
From about 1938 on to the founding of Israel, Begin was the leader of the Irgun. That group regularly assassinated English soldiers in Palestine and frequently hung their booby-trapped bodies in public places. Under Begin, the Irgun blew up the King David Hotel in Jerusalem in 1946, killing 97 British civil servants. The Stern Gang, under Shamir, also assassinated the U.N. representative to Palestine, Count Bernadotte, in 1948.
But Deir Yassin was not the only massacre by the Israeli Defense Force. That army, under Moshe Dayan, took the unarmed and undefended village of al-Dawazyma, located in the Hebron hills, massacred 80 to 100 of its residents, and threw their bodies into pits. "The children were killed by breaking their heads with sticks ... The remaining Arabs were then sealed in houses, as the village was systematically razed ..." (Nur Masalha, The Historical Roots of the Palestinian Refugee Question).
We read further. According to Yitzhak Rabin's biography:
We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. Alon repeated his question: "What is to be done with the population?" BG waved his hand in a gesture, which said: Drive them out! ... I agreed that it was essential to drive the inhabitants out.
Continuing the narrative, Ben-Gurion University historian Benny Morris writes in "Operation Dani and the Palestinian Exodus from Lydda and Ramle in 1948", Middle East Journal, 40
Within the last 10 to 20 years, however, there has been an exponential increase in historical studies of the origins of the state of Israel which have coincided with the release by Israel of many, but not all, of the historical and military archives. Ben-Gurion University historian Benny Morris, as well as others, have systematically mined these documents and found numerous instances of massacres, and, by the way, not one shred of evidence for the frequently repeated official Israeli lie that the Palestinians fled Palestine because the surrounding Arab states told them to.
In fact, according to UN estimates, which some say are conservative, 750,000 Palestinians fled the site of the present Jewish state in 1948. Those refugees and their descendents now number about 4.5 million and constitute the largest and longest standing refugee population in the world. Many live in squalid refugee camps distributed in the surrounding Arab states or in the West Bank or Gaza, many retain the titles to their land, recognized by the British before 1948 or the Ottomans before that , and many retain the keys to their front doors of their former homes in what is now Israel, whether or not those doors still exists.
The '67 War generated a second wave of about 300,000 refugees from the West Bank and Gaza who were either expelled through direct or psychological methods or fled the Israel aerial attacks on the territories which included the extensive use of napalm.
The reader is invited to read the Hagana's Plan D , which has been available in English since the 1960s and was a military strategy of 1948 that entailed the evacuation of the Palestinian population from the areas of a future Jewish state.
Those who invoke the suicide bombings against mostly Israeli civilians to infer the righteousness of the Israeli cause live in a twilight of psychic denial of an otherwise unambiguous historical record: the state of Israel was founded on terrorism and ethnic cleansing.
The suicide bombings inside Israel, the first of which only occurred in 1994, after 25 years of occupation, is only a sideshow. That is a symptom and long way from the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
There will never be a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict until Israel takes responsibility, under U.N. Resolution 194, calling for reparation of the Palestinian refugees, and recognizes the immense suffering it caused at that time. We need also to recognize the US is giving unqualified moral support to a state that is based on racial purity and one that is intrinsically expansionist.

If you concentrate your effort, you could find Mother Teresa guilty of murder.
Had anyone put an equal amount of work into uncovering similar crimes in, say, France or the UK, he would find a whole lot more material to work with. And calling a hundred people killed in Dir Yassin during a war a massacre is an insult to the term.
You want to know what a massacre is? Ask people in Darfur or better yet, civilians in Iraq and Afganistan.
I'll bet the civilians of Iraq and Afghanistan that have been slaughtered would find peace in knowing their murders were used, somehow, for defending the Israelis murdering Palestinians. Nice touch..
Ohhh nice... That Mother Theresa reference was a good one too.. I'll bet she would be happy to know she was referred to in your comment as well..
Garbage..
Great comment JR. jews in Israel are the real terrorists. Here, we see "Internet Tough GUy" doing what he does best, adult jews chasing little kids around with M-16's Americans paid for. "Tough Guy" is at the end of the video, smiling in the camera:

Watch it while you can, as they're friends at youtube will have this one censored asap!
I think that the responses to this article are a mix of junk, non-junk, observations and provocations ranging from one to five stars - poor to excellent. How do I flag a comment as excellent?
Tell your dad Zeus to make rating comments possible or just reply directly to the commenter.
"Zeus swallowed Metis to prevent her from having offspring, but she already was pregnant with Athena. Metis gave birth to Athena and nurtured her inside Zeus until Zeus complained of headaches and called for Hephaestus to split open his head with his smithing tools. Athena burst forth from his forehead fully armed with weapons given by her mother. She famously wields the thunderbolt and the Aegis, which she and Zeus share exclusively." Wikepedia
"They said that Athena was the daughter of Zeus not from intercourse, but when the god had in mind the making of a world through a word (logos) his first thought was Athena" - wikipedia I'm pretty sure it's all BS anyways.
Too bad it is cheaper to build the B2 Spirits out of pure Gold, it would save money knowing we will not use them the way they are supposed to do. Get in, wreck things and kick a Nation down a bit and go home and not get caught.
Israel will fight. They have been since the beginning and always will.
Israel will fight. They have been since the beginning and always will.
That's the problem. Once God tells you to kill all the people in the land and take their stuff and you build an identity based on that kind of behavior, it's hard to stop.
Well, we did have almost 2,000 years of break from that stuff. A lot catching up to do.
"That's the problem. Once God tells you to kill all the people in the land and take their stuff and you build an identity based on that kind of behavior, it's hard to stop."
Too broad a stroke, Crockett.
Intended in this case specifically in regard to practitioners of Zionism from Herschel to the present day. Can also be applied to American "settlers" who followed the Old Testament as a guide for conquering Indian land.
Respect property rights, folks, and the blessings of liberty will multiply throughout the earth.
Thanks for clarifying.
If Israel attacks Iran ...... well --- that's a problem.
But if Iran casts the first missile --- that's another story.
http://debka.com/article/8985/
He's likely inundated with threatening stories, phonecalls etc etc. Probably an attempt to get him to attack first. He's showing off weapons systems probably as an attempt to show resolve to fight back but it's being depicted as something sinister.
I'm just waiting for the characacture artists to start distorting the pictures to make it into what it's not.
Lots of characacture artists here tonight on this thread.
"Lots of characacture artists here tonight on this thread."
You got that right, you MsCreant, you.
And unfortunately, not enough charcuterie artists. Time for breakfast!
Debka,
Starting the "spin" that Israel fought back in defense or was forced into Preemptive action.
War,? we dont need no war , we got fear. Always something to be afraid of, to keep our attention. Our attention and time are both limited resources , abused and squandered on various fears. It kills positive creative energy and starts a lot of shit. Lets ignore it, maybe it will go away.
In any case we will feel better as they rape us.
Actually all the Muslim countries in the Gulf Region want Israel to attack Iran. They're even more afraid of Iran than they are of Israel. So it wouldn't be 1.5 billion Muslims. Maybe the Muslims in Malaysia and Indonesia might get pissed, but not too pissed.
Oil producers would probably make a nice profit if Iran were attacked. But people are rarely motivated by money so that probably has nothing to do with it.
But what do you think about jedwards point?
You missed my point. Perhaps my commentary was too oblique. Go back and try to decipher it again.

You missed my point. Perhaps my commentary was too oblique. Go back and try to decipher it again.
Come on, Crockett! You are disappointing me! Not that you care, btw.
The point was directly addressed. It wasn't ambiguous. I don't know Crocket, try another language I guess..
Once again, Max the bully. The poster asked Crockett to respond to a another persons post. Crockett steamrolled him/her. Crockett asks for one's consideration when he posts.
Somewhere, someone made a reference to all muslims ... something-or-other. jedwards did a good job of demonstrating why the reference to all muslims was not correct. If Crockett's response commented on that, I missed it big-time.
You miss everything big time.
Hopefully less and less. I'm here to learn.
Yeah, just like all the iraqi's wanted SH out and would welcome the coalition of the willing with open arms and shower them with praises and thanks for liberating their country.
you arent really going to fall for that one again are you?
It is probably more that the governments of many Arab countries want Iran reined in, Israel being seen as one way to do that.
As always, one must be careful what you wish for. There is an ugly chain of events just waiting for a catalyst.
Well said
jedwards is a bonehead. Now the approach is "we'll attack Muslims to protect other Muslims, because we love them so much. It has nothing to do with terrorist Israel, really!"
Israel is a failed, terrorist state. Most Americans don't realize they pay for these settlements to be built on stolen land, so Israelis can act like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kem1ajIKv1k&feature=player_embedded
Thank you for posting these videos. Unlike the Zionists here, they do not lie.
What a bunch of crazy, inbred fuckwits those settlers are. I long for the day when justice can be served against them. That lantern-jawed Khazar bitch in the first video had better keep her European passport handy.
You do not want a war between Israel and Iran. The consequences would be shockingly bad. Iran is armed to the teeth, so either Israel or the U.S. would end up using nukes. Once that can of worms is opened, it's not containable. In fact, it would quickly turn into an enormous war engulfing the entire Middle East.
Also, China has huge oil contracts with Iran and is dependent on Iran for energy. So, China could retaliate against the U.S. in the following ways:
The Russians aren't too keen on the U.S. cancelling their contracts with Iran either. Any way you slice it, an attack on Iran could result in WWIII.
Hysterical, are we?
Seemed pretty calm and reasonable to me.
No SCREAMING - check
No parade of !!!!!!!!!!! - check
No profanity - check
Some semblance of plausibility - check
Uh oh - the commentor used the word "shockingly" - HYSTERICAL ALERT!!!!!!
oh, now you're just being fiercely tempestuous....
Hysterical, are we?
If you're afraid of non-existent WMDs in Iran, then yes, you are hysterical.
Naw, just am accustomed to living 30 minutes polar flight time between heaven and hell from the 60's and 70's Between Moscow and DC during the cold war.
You either lived within blast, flash and heat range of a wartime target or you did not. Usually the smart people lived peacefully close to a target because once nuked, they wont have to worry about scratching out a living in a post nuke hell.
Hysterical? Hah. No. Just dusting off the old cold war books that I thought were finished, kaput after the Berlin wall fell back when.

"Iran is armed to the teeth..." dot_bust
“The irony of the Israeli push to sanction and threaten Iran over its alleged nuclear weapons program – a program, by the way, which our own intelligence community believes was abandoned in 2003 – is that it has focused unwanted attention on the one country in the region which already has nukes: Israel. With 600 nuclear-tipped missiles, at a minimum, armed and aimed at god-knows-who, Israel has stubbornly refused to even acknowledge the existence of such a formidable arsenal. There is a certain hollow ring to the outrage of Israeli leaders as they accuse Iran of violating the terms of a treaty Israel has steadfastly refused to sign…
“Israel has spent the last few years claiming Iran’s alleged pursuit of nukes represents an ‘existential threat,’ but what will they say to a proposal for general and complete nuclear disarmament? If the threat were real, they’d agree immediately. Since there is no such threat, however, existential or otherwise, and since in reality the threat comes from nuclear-armed Israel, and not (as yet) Iran, the Israelis have absolutely no interest in giving up their nuclear trump card. After all, they may have to play it some day… ” – Justin Raimondo, A Realistic Breakthrough, May 2, 2010

A bombing of the reactor would result in the same collective shrug observed after they bombed the Russian built Iraqi reactor (with Russian and French technicians inside) No one cared then and they wouldn't now. The only difference is Russian is a lot weaker economically and politically now. But I'm sure they'd offer to rebuild if Iran would pay them upfront.
Why squabble over something so small like an atom. King Solomon of Old Testament folklore would solve the problem by threatenig to split it in two to solve the problem.
lol. thats pretty funny
It's junk, all junk; all the way down!
+10
Neither the stock futures, oil nor AU are pricing anything in. The market yawns and readies itself for another week.
not pretty, not nice, not fuzzy warm... Hit the "rat"and the cleric(s), leave the reactor and give them 6 months to dissasemble. If "no", don the lead jockstraps and hit the reactor. I they don't know how to be tolerant, peaceful and civilized after that... no more aid to the area. Let them live in the dark ages they so desire through shia... the only way to move forward, IMHO.
I might wish the same on you and your family, but then I am not a psychopath.
Have a nice day!
the ideology of your posts mr crock proves otherwise. I do not wish you a nice day nor your 16th century madmen trying to impose a monolith of religious tyranny based on the life of a child molester no less.
your multiple posts are predicable and repetitive and not very original..black and white is your whole world, try some gray for a change.
your 16th century madmen trying to impose a monolith of religious tyranny based on the life of a child molester no less.
I'm an atheist. I am also a voluntaryist. I do not seek to impose anything on anyone and if I did it would not be fanciful religious beliefs.
Would you like to try to be mean to me again? You were so far off the mark that I felt no pain whatsoever. Perhaps you could try insulting my sister.
Under the circumstances, it’s worth considering the primary motivation behind Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s quest for nukes. Inside Iran, the belief of a returning Mahdi, or Twelfth Imam, is a defining doctrine within the most populous group of Shiites (known as Ithna Ashari, or “Twelvers”), the Iranian president included. Moreover, as a staunch adherent to the mahdaviat, Ahmadinejad doesn’t merely believe the Mahdi is about to return—he considers it his responsibility to bring about the apocalyptic conditions that will surround his return!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iran/1507818/Divine...
As Joel Rosenburg, former aide to Benjamin Netanyahu, put it last year: “[I]n order to bring about this Islamic messiah, the Mahdi, the Twelfth Imam, Islamic leaders need to hasten his coming by destroying little Satan, Israel, and the great Satan, the United States. … [T]he leaders actually believe they need to create bloody carnage, the death of millions of people in order to create the conditions for the Mahdi to bring peace”
Sounds exactly like the Christian Zionist position with a few name changes.
Everbody is getting in on the action

The Rabbinical Council of Judea and Samaria issued a statement Thursday in which it said that the results of the incident in which Israel intercepted a flotilla trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza seem like the Biblical description of "the beginning of the Gog and Magog process where the world is against us, but which ends with the third and final redemption."
I've supported Free Gaza since before the first voyage in 2008. How interesting to know that I might have have played a very small role in age old prophecies of the end of time. Not that I'll necessarily have much of a chance to ponder the significance of all that.
If anyone wants to keep the pressure on the Zionists, drop some coin on these folks:
http://www.freegaza.org/
Say, as a free Gaza supporter - What is your position on them Hamas fellas controlling the strip?
I think that it was pretty stupid for Israel to fund Hamas in order to destabilize secular Palestinian political operations. Quite reminiscent of United States support for the Afghan "freedom fighters" who morphed into Al Queda and the Taliban.
Err... Israel funding Hamas? Since when? You have some sort of source for that you could link, I presume.
As Richard Sale pointed out in a piece for UPI:
“Israel and Hamas may currently be locked in deadly combat, but, according to several current and former U.S. intelligence officials, beginning in the late 1970s, Tel Aviv gave direct and indirect financial aid to Hamas over a period of years. Israel ‘aided Hamas directly – the Israelis wanted to use it as a counterbalance to the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization),’ said Tony Cordesman, Middle East analyst for the Center for Strategic [and International] Studies. Israel’s support for Hamas ‘was a direct attempt to divide and dilute support for a strong, secular PLO by using a competing religious alternative,’ said a former senior CIA official.”

This quote is factually incorrect, since Hamas was only founded in 1987. Prior to that, some arabs such as Yassin collaborated with the Israeli authorities, but in no way ever Israel cooperated with Hamas as an entity.
In addition, I am not aware of Israel ever funding an arab national organization.
From Wikipedia:
Sheikh Ahmed Yassin returned to Gaza from Cairo in the 1970s, where he set up Islamic charities, founding Hamas in 1987 as an offshoot of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood. According to the Israeli weekly Koteret Rashit (October 1987), "The Islamic associations as well as the [Islamic university — founded in 1978 in Gaza] had been supported and encouraged by the Israeli military authority" in charge of the (civilian) administration of the West Bank and Gaza.
I wonder how long that will remain on wiki.
The Writing on the Wall, Wikipedia Style (click to see video)
"I guess it’s not enough that Israel already exerts a disproportional influence on the U.S. Congress and the U.S. mainstream media. Now Israel wants to take control of the world’s largest unregulated, open source information outlet—Wikipedia. Here are two interviews of people taking a course in how to correct information on Wikipedia—information, that is, that doesn’t conform to the Zionist viewpoint. One student reminds us (as usual) that if you don’t support Zionism, you’re anti-Semitic. This must be news to all of those Semite Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza." -- David Kramer at LRC
Yes, Wikipedia info is super reliable. And we were talking funding here, not "support" nor "encouragement".
You've lost the point. Best to move along before you embarrass yourself further.
Same argument again. There was no Hamas in the 70's, so you can quit yapping now. And don't deviate from the subject. You claimed Israel funded and cooperated with Hamas before it has been established, which is ridiculous and impossible.
Next time choose your words more carefully in your allegations. Again, there has always been some degree of cooperation between individual Arabs and the Israeli authorities, but nothing remotely resembling the funding of the Mujahedeen by the US.
You claimed Israel funded and cooperated with Hamas before it has been established, which is ridiculous and impossible.
Before an organization can be founded the individual who pursue it must be funded. Organizations do not drop from the trees ripe and ready. This is so obvious that even you should be able to understand it.

" Danon stressed that Iran is an international concern. He called on the Western world to "take action" against Iran's suspected illicit nuclear program "
Bollocks ! No its not. Iran is no threat to my country Australia and its no threat to Thailand where I live and where a huge number of Iranians are in fact now coming for their vacation.
So if you Zionists want to do it- go for it but don’t try dragging the rest of the world into your shit. And please feel free to send a few of those Wall Street banksters to the frontline and then we can get two jobs done at the same time.
Throughout the ages Jews have been persecuted. After reading this I can get a fleeting glimmer of why. Their steadfst refusal to make concessions and join a community and the centricity of worldview that this mindset leads to is deserving of punsihment. As the elder said, "Whatever the merits of their religion, their inflexible obstiinance is deserving of punishment." The West against Iran the man says. That is so absurd it defies imagination. Our unabashed political corruption renders us very weak and we could well lose a significant altercation should we start one. Or hasn't that entered his small little mind?
Sure sure, Israeli spokesmen for the nation of Israel totally represent Jews and Jewry as a collective.
Just like Robert Gibbs speaks for Americans.
Waht you say is true but what's to stop you from being swept up in a torrent? Not me I'm to insignificant. Americans are brutal. If they turn their ire on a class of people it's ugly.

A "fleeting glimmer" and now we are ready for punishment. That was fast!
"Sure sure, Israeli spokesmen for the nation of Israel totally represent Jews and Jewry as a collective.

The statement above represents a collective feeling amongst many Jews. Some who post here have not reconciled this fact. Or they don't want to. Get honest with yourselves, people. It's a good place to start the debate.
And what about the 17 biggest Jewish American organisations? Do they not represent American Jews?
What are we tax-paying and blood-letting gentiles to believe next? That they are not really representative? That those warmongering, genocide-supporting Jews are not really Jews?
Push for confrontation with Iran (sometimes) bears a Jewish stamphttp://mondoweiss.net/2010/08/push-for-confrontation-with-iran-sometimes...
no they do not represent Jews, they represent a Garchy agenda, zion is a story used to control some people, like Christianity, Islam, Global Warming, Patriotism etc ... just stories for children who march to war.
They represents Jews just as well as the CFR represent Americans.
Then next time your at synagogue, speak up an make your views known, instead of berating Christians that share some of your views. Make sense?
I believe that most Jews are decent people who are misled by unscrupulous leaders just like most everyone else. One more good reason to stand as an individual and free thinker.
I believe that most Americans are decent people who are misled by unscrupulous leaders just like most everyone else. One more good reason to stand as an individual and free thinker.
If I were to personalize this statement, I would change "everyone" to "everywhere." That may be what you meant.
huh? Do they discuss CFR policy at your Church? You are making a logical error. There would be no point bringing up these issues at Synagogue just as there would be no point bringing up CFR at Church because the people there have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AGENDA! IF you seriously think all Jewish people think the same or are 'part of it' then you are wrong.
PS: I was baptised Church of England, not that it should matter, but i reckon it does to you.
I think I understand the point, VI. The thing is, just as with every other secular democracy I know anything about, the actual foreign policy conduct of Israel is controlled by a TINY number of people relative to the size of the population.
I personally take issue with any induction from the words/actions of state officials to thoughts/beliefs of the general populace.
There no need to look for an excuse to hate or fear groups of people. Just be upfront about it. In the USA, we seem to have been nurturing a hatred of Muslims for the past few years. It makes no sense. Just as it makes no sense that in Saudi Arabia they nurture hate of Jews, and in Israel they nurture hate of Arabs.
There's always been plenty of hate to go 'round. It doesn't need any nurturing. It's just too bad hate doesn't convert well into beneficial endeavor for the species.
If the Mideast does get cauldronized any time soon, there won't be any winners.

As it is almost everywhere, my friend. And as you say, in the US as well. people definitely have a right to be upset about this fact. Painting a whole group/nation with that anger - no.
And this is how you spot the people in the crowd who just want to hate - they don't want to make the distinction.
Without getting too too hysterical about Ahmedinner-jackets' nuclear ambitions, I figure its all jawboning to keep the price of oil from collapsing. And yes, some years away, they will have enough to go on to build a weapon. And, if they have lithium deposits at hand, they have the makings of a thermonuclear weapon. I wonder if Israel is engaged in Lithium mining?
Using molten salt reactors with thorium as fuel removes any pretense that a weapons cycle may be involved:
http://pubs.acs.org/cen/email/html/8746sci2.html
What does Russia get out of it all? Are they daring the USA to strike and so raise the value of Russias own oil reserves? Who benefits from the straight of Hormuz being interdicted?
Also just to remember, over 2000 nukes have been let off since 1945 in tests. We have HAD a large scale nuclear war, just one bomb at a time. While the Iranian bomb might be a threat to Israel (but they wont nuke Jeruselem) its no threat to anyone else unless the Russians are giving Iran a mobile ICBM platform too!
Also the idea of a 'suitcase bomb' is ridiculous, there is no way the Iranian bomb will be that small, took decades for the USA, France, Isreal, UK and Russia to miniturize them to that size. Maybe loading it onto a ship and letting it off in a US port city could work ... hehe perhaps they could load it onto one of those 'peace ships' we had a couple of months ago (what happened to that, is it the off season for suicidal compassion?).
those 'peace ships' we had a couple of months ago (what happened to that, is it the off season for suicidal compassion?).
Dozens of ships are being prepared to deliver aid to Gaza. Visit and support http://www.freegaza.org/
We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when....
You really enjoy final scenes from apocalyptic films, don't you?
Sabourjian is definitetly not Persian Family name it can be Assyrian, Hebrew, Chaldenian, Armenian, but not Persian, he has very dark history no body knows where is he from,
John Walsh on the new nuke documentary…
COUNTDOWN TO ZERO – OR TO WAR ON IRAN | John V. Walsh | ANTIWAR.COM | August 23, 2010
“If I was president Ahmadinejad’s national security adviser, and he asked me what to do, I would tell him to acquire a nuclear deterrent.”
- Professor John J. Mearsheimer, July 7, 2010
John Mearsheimer’s imagined advice to Ahmadinejad leads to a simple and obvious conclusion. A country like Iran, which has been placed on the executioner’s list known as the “axis of evil,” may have only one option if it is to survive: get a nuclear deterrent (and notice Mearsheimer’s carefully chosen word is “deterrent”). The nukes need never be used, but they must be in one’s hand to keep one’s neck out of the Empire’s noose. Given the fate of bloodied, ravaged, and occupied Iraq, which did not get a nuke, and North Korea which did, the lesson is clear. It follows that the principal impulse for nuclear proliferation comes from the United States and Israel, since they are the countries now issuing threats of invasion, destruction, occupation, and servitude, threats they have routinely carried out. This is a message that will not be found in the allegedly anti-nuclear flick Countdown to Zero, demonstrating one more time that the most effective lies are those of omission.
Countdown to Zero is now playing in a theater near you, at least if you live in a very “blue state” or a “blue neighborhood,” for example, Cambridge, Mass., my hometown, or San Francisco. The movie is aimed squarely at the antiwar, anti-nuclear, pro-Obama audience, which dwells therein and is all too susceptible to the “humanitarian” streak of imperialism. It is a very shrewd propaganda flick, as Darwin Bond-Graham demonstrated in his superb review, a film which in fact helps to pry open a little bit further the door to a war on Iran…
Coming at this time, Countdown appears designed in large part to scare those who are likely to be antiwar into supporting further moves by the Obama administration against Iran. The hoax of weapons of mass destruction, most notably nuclear weapons, was employed to frighten the American public into a war on Iraq. And now the same is being done with Iran. As George W. Bush told us, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice….” Well, you know.

Great post JR. Unfortunately there are many on this site that think that number of dead and wounded is not high enough yet.
Mearsheimer is a brilliant man and is once again bang on the money. If israel continues its nuclear proliferation the only sensible thing for Iran to do is build their own deterence. Its the only language the physcopaths in Israel understand.
Hasn't Israel been rattling a saber about Iran for oh, I dunno, at least 6 years now?
This simply *cannot* be about warfare. Something else is motivating it. Wish I had a line on what it was.
They're both rabid fans of the Hatfields and McCoys?
I was thinking maybe they're failed Internet trolls who turned to geopolitics in shame.
