If You Want To Limit The Power Of The Super-Wealthy, Stop Using Their Money
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/29/2015 10:31 -0500Everyone who is convinced that the current status quo is permanent and unbreakable should consider what happened to the super-wealthy private landholders of the Western Roman Empire. When the empire's power to coerce broke down, the super-wealthy vanished into the dustbin of history. Few believed that possible in 475 AD, but history isn't a matter of belief. Believing it isn't possible doesn't stop history.
Falling Interest Causes Falling Profits
Submitted by Gold Standard Institute on 12/29/2015 01:45 -0500Most people assume that prices move as a result of changes in the money supply. Instead, let’s look at the effect of changes in interest.
What's In Store For Our Freedoms In 2016? More Of Everything We Don't Want
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/28/2015 22:25 -0500James Madison, the father of the Constitution, put it best: “Take alarm,” he warned, “at the first experiment with liberties.” Anyone with even a casual knowledge about current events knows that the first experiment on our freedoms happened long ago. Worse, we have not heeded the warnings of Madison and those like him who understood that if you give the government an inch, they will take a mile. Unfortunately, the government has not only taken a mile, they have taken mile after mile after mile after mile with seemingly no end in sight for their power grabs. All of the signs point to something nasty up ahead.

Honey, I Shrunk The Middle Class: Less Than One Third Of Households Qualify
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/28/2015 10:07 -0500If it takes more than $126,000 to fund a qualitatively defined middle class lifestyle, what sense does it even make to call this "middle"?
Lessons From The Late '20s - Why Bubbles Abound
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/27/2015 13:25 -0500Market-based Credit is unstable. This remains the fundamental issue – the harsh reality – that no one dares confront. Long-term stability in a Capitalistic system requires sound money and Credit (hopelessly archaic, we admit). Over the years, we've tried to differentiate traditional finance from unfettered “New Age” finance. The former, bank lending-dominated Credit, was generally contained by various mechanisms (including the gold standard, effective currency regimes, bank capital and reserve requirements, etc.). This is in stark contrast to the current-day securities market-based global financial “system” uniquely operating without restraints on either the quantity or quality of Credit created. There’s no precedence for such a globalized monetary fiasco, though there are a number of historical episodes that provide valuable insight.
C-Section Awakenings

101 years after the Christmas truces along the Western Front there is still no peace on earth. And the long suffering American taxpayers, who foot the massive bills generated by the War Party’s demented and destructive policies, have no clue that Imperial Washington is the principal reason.
What If Jesus Had Been Born 2,000 Years Later In The American Police State?
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/25/2015 21:15 -0500"The Roman Empire, a police state in its own right, had ordered that a census be conducted. Joseph and his pregnant wife Mary traveled to the little town of Bethlehem so that they could be counted. There being no room for the couple at any of the inns, they stayed in a stable, where Mary gave birth to a baby boy. That boy, Jesus, would grow up to undermine the political and religious establishment of his day and was eventually crucified as a warning to others not to challenge the powers-that-be." But what if Jesus, the revered preacher, teacher, radical and prophet, had been born 2,000 years later? How would Jesus’ life have been different had he be born and raised in the American police state?
If We Don't Change The Way Money Is Created & Distributed, We Change Nothing
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/24/2015 10:02 -0500If the money creation/distribution system isn't transformed, "reform" is nothing more than ineffectual policy tweaks that offer do-gooders the illusion of progress. The only real solution in my view is to create and distribute money at the base of the pyramid rather than to those in the top of the pyramid.

What Fresh Horror Awaits The Economy After Fed Rate Hike?
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/23/2015 22:30 -0500Rather, economic collapse is the greatest weapon at the disposal of globalists. National panic, riots, looting, starvation, magnified crime: All of these things result in mass die-offs and desperation. Desperation leads to calls for "strong leadership", and strong leadership usually results in totalitarianism. It might seem sensationalist to tie all of these possible outcomes to the Fed rate hike decision, but give it a little time. Those who make accusations of sensationalism and “fear mongering” today will be asserting tomorrow that such developments were “easily predictable.”
The Most Profitable Work Will Be Automated: The Rest Will Be Left to Us
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/23/2015 12:01 -0500We need a new system. A new system is self-organizing before our eyes. We just have to stop obstructing its rise and start facilitating its expansion in self-evident ways. The model of expecting global corporations and Big Government to solve the scarcity of paid work is broken.
