Shorting The Federal Reserve
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/25/2015 16:29 -0500Holding gold is simply recognition that the Fed’s actions over the last 30 years have potentially severe consequences that pose threats to the value of most financial assets, the almighty dollar and ultimately your clients’ purchasing power. Owning gold is in effect not only a short on the dollar and on the credibility of the Federal Reserve, but most importantly a one of a kind asset that protects wealth.
The Fed's Alice In Wonderland Economy - What Happens Next?
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/23/2015 15:40 -0500As powerful as the Fed is, it isn’t stronger than the markets. And the longer the Fed tries to sustain abnormalities like QE and 0% interest rates, the more likely it is that the whole business will end with the markets crushing the Fed. At the next sign of a market swoon or of a weakening economy, or with the next episode of deflationary jitters, the Fed will do whatever it takes, no matter what the eventual damage to the dollar’s value. Whatever the details, one thing should be clear. This politburo of unaccountable central planners is the greatest risk to your financial wellbeing today.

A Currency War That Few Economists And Analysts Notice, Much Less Understand
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/22/2015 18:00 -0500Most economists and financial analysts think that 'currency war' merely refers to the competitive devaluations that nations sometimes engage in to help boost their domestic economies, as they had done in the 1930's for example. This time the currency war is a much more profound confrontation of differing agendas revolving around the historically unusual role of the US dollar, based on nothing more than the will of the Federal Reserve and the 'full faith and credit' of the US, as the reserve currency for global central banks and international trade.
Fed Cred Dead!
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/21/2015 11:20 -0500Last week was the watershed for central banking and for the illusion that the current disposition of things has a future.
"Blood In The Casino Like Never Before" - Riding ZIRP Into Monetary Central Planning's Dead End
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/19/2015 10:45 -0500What the Fed really decided Thursday was to ride the zero-bound right smack into the next recession. When that calamity happens not too many months from now, the 28-year experiment in monetary central planning inaugurated by a desperate Alan Greenspan after Black Monday in October 1987 will come to an abrupt and merciful halt. Yellen and Co should be so lucky as to only face torches and pitch forks.

Gold Up Before Federal Reserve – Myth Of All Powerful Central Bank Continues
Submitted by GoldCore on 09/17/2015 10:46 -0500The simple fact that the Fed is struggling to increase interest rates from near 0% after seven long years should give pause for concern. It underlines the vulnerability of the U.S. economy and means that another recession is very likely. Indeed, the huge levels of debt at all levels of U.S. society and the significant increase in global debt levels during the last seven years mean that another recession is almost certain.
It's Time To "End The Era Of The Fed Put" & Get Back To Basics
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/17/2015 10:15 -0500How did our financial system weaken to the point where a quarter of a percent increase in rates is more than it can handle?
The Fed's Pain-Relieving Policies "Have Made The System More Vulnerable To A Crash"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/16/2015 16:30 -0500"If only The Fed would get out of the way... Monetary policy designed to spare us from pain has instead made the system more vulnerable to a crash."

The world is becoming increasingly chaotic and the American people are seeking a leader who can bring order, make tough decisions, and capture the zeitgeist of this moment in history. They are in search of a prophet generation (Boomer) Grey Champion, whose arrival marks the moment of darkness, adversity and peril as the Fourth Turning careens towards its climax. The Grey Champion doesn’t necessarily have to be a good person, but they must lead and display tremendous confidence in their cause and path. Franklin, Lincoln, and FDR have many detractors, but during their Fourth Turnings, they most certainly led, casting aside obstacles (sometimes illegally) and enduring dark days and bleak prospects for success. Is there someone of that stature ready to lead the American people now?
A Flock Of Black Swans
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/14/2015 17:15 -0500Major depressions do not occur overnight. They go in downward waves, interrupted at intervals by false recovery waves. But the collapse will continue, unstoppably. Like any house of cards, once it begins to actually fall, no further Band-Aids will stop the inevitable. So, what might that trigger be?
Could the Fed Implement a "Carry" Tax on Physical Cash?
Submitted by Phoenix Capital Research on 09/14/2015 09:47 -0500The idea here is that since it costs relatively little to store physical cash (the cost of buying a safe), the Fed should be permitted to “tax” physical cash to force cash holders to spend it (put it back into the banking system) or invest it.
The 20-Year Stock Bubble - Its Origin In Wholesale Money
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/12/2015 14:30 -0500Faith in the QE world is waning everywhere and with very good reason. If the "wholesale money" eurodollar takeover was instead responsible for the serial asset bubbles of the past two decades, then it would make far more sense to extrapolate stock trends from that starting point rather than the irrelevant and overstated federal funds monkeying. In this context, the panic in 2008 makes perfect sense as it was a total failure of the eurodollar/wholesale system which not only reversed in total the prior bubble levels it crushed the global economy with it.
