Meet The New York Fed's Latest Director: The Ex-CEO Of Another Bailed Out Bank
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/02/2015 13:57 -0500The Federal Reserve was supposed to serve the nation, however as even Bloomberg observes today, ended up "steamrolling" Main Street. One reason why: directors such as this one. Presenting former Morgan Stanley CEO, James Gorman, whose former employer got a $107 billion loan from the Federal Reserve to avoid implosion.
"For Every Job Created In The US This Decade, US Corporations Spent $296,000 On Stock Buybacks"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/02/2015 10:35 -0500Yesterday in "$20 Trillion In Government Bonds Yield Under 1%: The Stunning Facts How We Got There", we did just that: showed several "facts" demonstrating how, as Bloomberg puts it this morning, "QE Helped Wall Street Steamroll Main Street." It appears many missed the findings of how central planning has now gone full retard, so here again, are the facts...

'Lipstick'-ing The GDP Pig Amid An Epochal Global Deflationary Swoon
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/31/2015 11:15 -0500The talking heads were busy this week powdering the GDP pig. By averaging up the “disappointing” 1.5% gain for Q3 with the previous quarter they were able to pronounce that the economy is moving forward at an “encouraging” 2% clip. And once we get through this quarter’s big negative inventory adjustment, they insisted, we will be off to the ‘escape velocity’ races. Again. No we won’t! The global economy is in an epochal deflationary swoon and the US economy has already hit stall speed. It is only a matter of months before this long-in-the-tooth 75-month old business expansion will rollover into outright liquidation of excess inventories and hoarded labor. That is otherwise known as a recession.
The Debate: GOP Candidates Elevated, CNBC Eviscerated
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/29/2015 16:30 -0500On Wednesday morning a new national poll revealed that 54% of Americans rate the economy as 'poor', but instead of focusing oin that, Becky Quick quizzed Marco Rubio about his 'lack of bookkeeping skills,' Carl Quintanilla posed questions about homosexuality and fantasy football, and the astonishingly incompetent John Harwood expressed doubt about Donald Trump's 'moral authority.' The interaction between the candidates and the CNBC moderators revealed the yawning gap between the bubble world at the intersection of Washington and Wall Street and the hard scrabble reality of economic stagnation and political alienation on main street America.

No, Ben S. Bernanke will be someday remembered as the world’s most destructive battleship admiral. Not only was he fighting the last war, but his whole multi-trillion money printing campaign after September 15, 2008 was aimed at avoiding an historical Fed mistake that had never even happened!
The Worse Things Get For You, The Better They Get For Wall Street
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/27/2015 11:20 -0500"Investors are now facing the second most extreme episode of equity market overvaluation in U.S. history (current valuations on similar measures already exceed those of 1929). The belief that zero interest rates offer no alternative but to accept risk in stocks is valid only if one believes that stocks cannot experience profoundly negative returns. We know precisely how similar valuation extremes have worked out for investors over the completion of the market cycle, and those outcomes have never been deferred indefinitely. The only question at present is how many grains are left in the hourglass."
If This Really Is "1998 All Over Again", Oil Is About To Soar
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/26/2015 17:28 -0500If this is indeed a rerun of the post-LTCM/pre first tech bubble days, then oil is about to soar by 150%
"How Would One Position For One Final Melt-Up On Wall Street"? - Here Is BofA's Answer
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/25/2015 21:52 -0500"It could simply be 1998/99 all over again. After all, a “speculative blow-off” in asset prices is one logical conclusion to a world dominated by central bank liquidity, technological disruption & wealth inequality. What worked back then? What rose from the rubble of 1998? How would one position for one final melt-up on Wall Street..."
The Central Bankers' Death Wish
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/23/2015 12:20 -0500There is no alternative except to take cover because the latest stock market rip is based on pure central bank hopium. Indeed, Mario Draghi has confirmed once again that the world’s central bankers have a monetary death wish. Unlike the gamblers who bought Cramer’s top 49 stock picks, the best course of action is to sell, sell, sell—–and do it now.

Wall Street's Latest Bounce - Ostrich Economics At Work
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/19/2015 07:51 -0500It is more evident than ever that the world economy is heading into a deflationary conflagration, but today’s generation of house trained bulls wouldn’t recognize a warning if it slapped them upside their horns. They refused once again last week to exit the casino because they got another signal from Hilsenramp that the Fed is on “hold” until at least next March. Call it Ostrich Economics. But do it quick. Those side-effects are coming to the casino some day real soon.
Why Gold Is Surging: BofA Says To Expect A "Massive Policy Shift In 2016"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/12/2015 07:09 -0500"The secular reality of deflation & inequality is intensified by recession & rising unemployment, investors should expect a massive policy shift in 2016. Seven years after the west went “all-in” on QE & ZIRP, the US/Japan/Europe would shift toward fiscal stimulus via government spending on infrastructure or more aggressive income redistribution. …buy TIPs, gold, commodities, Main Street not Wall Street."
