As Forewarned, The Irish Savers Have Just Been "Cyprus'd", And There's MUCH MORE "Cyprusing" To Come
Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 04/23/2013 06:57 -0500This is the beginning of War and those on the losing side don't even realize they're in battle. Remember, Merkel has already declared the EU to give up sovereign authority for the greater good, the United Germanic Republic of Europe! This is how she will do it.

Mounds of cold, hard, indisputable evidence not found ANYWHERE else! Damn, you thought Cyprus was newsworthy? Ireland already Troika'd & they're bigger than Cyprus. Depositor recap of banks looks inevitable if this research is right!

30 Nov 2012 – “ What's Up? ” (4 Non Blondes, 1992)
Submitted by AVFMS on 11/30/2012 12:01 -0500Europe rather direction-less on its own. Equities still rather firmer than not; with Bonds just the same. Macro data generally rather bleak, although expectations have been put so low lately that anything about palatable will do. Peeking over the Pond to see whether Fiscal Cliff discussions could scuttle things. Here late valuations are such that numbers should be really good to get things going. So: Drifting. Chatting. Checking.
"What's Up?" (Bunds 1,38% +1; Spain 5,3% -2; Stoxx 2580 unch; EUR 1,301 +30)

Submitted by AVFMS on 10/26/2012 10:57 -0500If it wasn’t because the government sponsorship doping Q3 US GDP, we wouldn’t have much on the bright side.
European equities still desperate to shoot up. Feels like too many fickle shorts and too many uncomfortable longs at the same time.
Markets uneasy after round-tripping back to OMT / QE unleash levels and no follow-up stimuli to be seen.
22 Oct 2012 – “ Hurricane Heart Attack ” (The Warlocks, 2002)
Submitted by AVFMS on 10/22/2012 11:03 -0500Mostly boring.
European equity resilience seems surprising, given the otherwise gloomier mood. No news still played out as being good news and even catch-up to US levels seems a doubtful explanation.
Beats me.

16 Jul 2012 – " Sloe Gin " (Joe Bonamassa, 2007)
Submitted by AVFMS on 07/16/2012 10:54 -0500Europe slipping into (light) ROff (and then out). Recurrent picture of Hard Core grinding tighter, Soft Core doubling down on that . Peripherals drifting wider with Italy eventually further off the 6% mark and Spain at 6.77%. Equities about unchanged after all.
BKO eventually closing on a historic -0.060% low.
Slow dragging day, if it wasn’t for the EUR jogging back and forth all the time. Something gotta move, I guess.
