Russia is reportedly set to host negotiations between the Assad government and the Syrian opposition in Moscow next week, although it isn't at all clear that the invitees play a meaningful role in the conflict. Meanwhile, Maria Zakharova is out with comments about Syria's political future which the Western media are interpreting as an admission that Russia is willing to let Assad go.

Almost all serious analysts see a Terminal problem developing - "We will go from deflation to hyperinflation without seeing inflation." But hyperinflation is a political phenomenon. It is caused by those same authorities the masses think they can trust. When they are threatened, they will protect themselves by printing money on a scale we haven’t seen since the War Between the States (consumer prices in Richmond, Virginia, had risen 6,700% by the end of the war).

Ok, this is China: crazy things happen all the time. But where things got outright ridiculous, was when moments ago when as China National Radio reports, Wu Shuang, a partner of Xu Xiang's at Zexi, and also an insider trading suspect, was shot and killed by Chinese police when he "resisted and tried to escape."

In an interview with Spanish newspapers that was published October 31st, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon condemned U.S. President Barack Obama’s demand that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad be removed from office, and Moon said: “The future of Assad must be determined by the Syrian people." The U.N. Secretary General's detailed comments are implicitly blaming all of this - lots of blood and misery - on U.S. President Obama, and on the “many Western countries” who ally with him and have joined with him in demanding regime-change in Syria. Ban ki-Moon took a rare courageous position here: what he said was correct, though it’s virtually unmentionable in the West.

Time and time again, I’m hearing the same sticking points for failing to prepare – for failing to assure a more promising future for themselves and their families.

With winter rapidly approaching, Europe has yet to develop a viable plan to provide shelter for the hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing the war-torn Mid-East. If the bloc doesn't act soon, tens of thousands of families could end up freezing to death on the way to Germany.

What’s refreshing about Trump is the directness with which he expresses his psychopathy. For example, candidates such as Hillary Clinton sugar-coat theirpsychopathy, or even find ways to get their interviewers to join eagerly in their expressions of it (camaraderie with power-holders), but they don’t say such blatant things as (to paraphrase Trump here), “After we raped them — which we shouldn’t have done — we should have stolen from them, and we should still be  stealing from them.”

A majority of Americans live in a fake world created by propaganda. They are disconnected from reality.

With a birth-rate at record-lows and death-rate at record-highs, Japanese PM Shinzo Abe unveiled a new set of 'arrows' a few weeks ago to 'fix' the demographic disaster the nation faces. At the time, Abe was long of "bold proposals" but short of actual policies to encourage the nation to make more babies (despite dwindling interest in sex).
