Credit Indices data providers and platforms
Hey, I'm currently looking at Markit (danke td), but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good website/platform for reviewing and performing analysis on fixed income products and credit indices to gauge spreads on historical basis... thanks in advance.

You should check out CMA data. Credit Market Analysis. They were bought by the CME group last year and have years of historical data for all credit indices. Much cheaper and higher quality data compared to markits. Also has a platform called datavision for analysis
This is a good topic. I have been frustrated that it is hard to obtain historical data/information on Markit indices without forking over the dough for an account. Markit does release pricing data every week for free. So hypothetically, someone could have saved all of that data. Though, I think it would be illegal to disseminate it if they were caught? It is funny that the once-IBs and other banks own Markit!
yes i am looking for the same thing. please let me know if you find
something non institutional.
If you have access to the institutional sites of Barclays, Citi or Merrill (still up), you'll be able to find what you need.
anywhere i can look beyond bloomberg if i dont have institutional access?
