THE FOOD NAZI

I have had several requests to do something with this image. As-s usual, no quarter is given.

I would like to point out that the same shit rags that egged His Dishonor on when he was busy bashing "hippies and anarchists" who wanted to exercise their First Amendment Rights are now complaining that he is now targeting jumbo size fizzy drinks.

Anyone notice what is happening to those OWS Complaints? They are being dismissed one by one. So much so the cops aren't even bothering to appear at the hearings. Nice...what kind of police tactics are those? Starts with an N ends with an M.

As far as I am concerned the New York Post and Daily News should STFU! He's their piece of work.

Chavez & Bloomie, sittin in a tree...lol.

"Until now, anyone with a gun permit could buy arms from a private company.

Under the new law, only the army, police and certain groups like security companies will be able to buy arms from the state-owned weapons manufacturer and importer."

"Hugo Chavez's government says the ultimate aim is to disarm all civilians, but his opponents say the police and government may not have the capacity or the will to enforce the new law."

How much ya wanna bet anyone with a gun permit get's a knock on the door in two weeks...all offers accepted.

Kudos to WB7 and LK for a great spread on a clueless crony/crook who really doesn't get it.

How can one advance the nanny state with the worlds most well known symbol of liberty dominating the NYC harbor?

Easy, the sheeple choose him.

Democracy sucks - keep your friends and loved ones away from the voting booth where your power is given away to fools and knaves.

Nice. The one talking about "a better start in life" is remarkably similar to the 1950s ads for diethylstilbestol (DES), a very potent estrogen prescribed to millions of women from the 1940s to the 1970. The irony I get from this image is that they have learned nothing from the whole DES debacle, and so it will be repeated over and over again.

On top of that, the Limerick King again captures the mood of the day, and I particularly like the Lawrence Summers one. Kudos!

How in the world are they going to enforce this when they cannot even control homicides, assaults, rapes, etc in NYC?!

Better idea would be a Federal Law taxing overweight people for the extra air they breath, the extra room they take up o buses and planes, etc. Maybe call the plan, "Fat and Furious?"

Actually, the crime statistics in NYC have dropped way down. I don't think NYC leads in those categories anymore. Harlem is now a suburb.

There are all kinds of people who want all the credit, but the most sensible explanation I read was Row v Wade.

Some random thoughts:

1) Evangelos Venizelos, according to Mayor Bloomberg I guess, is not fat at all and should not be subject to any dietary restrictions, unlike the proletarians.

2) If corporations are people, then by definition aren't the TBTF "too fat?"  What should Bloomberg ban for them, given that he thinks he knows what is best for all people and corporations?  I mean, if he can determine a corporation can't sell a big gulp, and an American can't buy one, then....\

3) I wonder what would Mayor Bloomberg's "food pyramid" for corporations would look like?  Any thoughts?

Bloomberg - another fine example of the melding of Crony Capitalism with Sociofacism.

You are free to choose only if it makes the Kleptoligarchy a lot of money or doesn't cost the system.

Pay your bills - the banks, insurers, automakers, and foreign countries need another bailout.

Don't go into debt - only the government can increase revenue with debt spending.

Amerika - land of the free to be told how to live and who to bend over for.

Mon, 06/04/2012 - 21:37 | 2494407 EFNuttin

I think Bloomberg and the Klepoligarchy just hate the competition.  If I can mix some sugar into water, add bubbles and have a total cost of $0.10 which I then sell for $2.00, that's a 20X markup.  It's the same game as some Wall Street type buying a politician for $100,000 that's publicly reported, $400,000 in unmarked paper bags, and then getting a new bill written or no-bid government contract that grosses $10 million.  In both cases, the externalities (poor health and cleaned out savings accounts) get dumped onto taxpayers.  Winning!

They just hate the competition.  Cracking down on the soda pop profit model is just business, nothing personal.  As usual, the politician is the crony capitalist's dirtiest tool.

I just don't understand. So it's legitimate to tax tobacco as a disincentive for smoking, but not legitimate for foods and drinks which generate even worse health problems?

I've always found it disturbing that a tax be used as a social punishment mechanism instead of a general revenue mechanism. What this winds up doing is alienating different segments of any given society, it's discriminatory & creates malcontents.

If that is the object, they are certainly succeeding ;-)

Tobacco is a scapegoat, ergo The Easy Target. And I know I'm going to get some down votes on this next statement, but my skin is thick;

Tobacco is The direct choice of pharma, politicians, and little 'ol ladies in pews as the reason cancer is developed. So it's quite easy for them to continue to point out how when we are left to ourselves we'll do anything to kill ourselves. And nicotine itself has never been proven to cause cancer, just all the additives.

Which are in our food too. More now than ever before. Almost as if they are specifically being increased into the food chain. You know, to reduce some populations. And of course it's tobacco thats doing it. Not the food. No, the food is merely a gluttonous issue, not a safety issue. And as long as the general populace buys that then they are proving just how stupid and easy to control they are.

Supposedly there are less smokers per capita now than in the 60's, but there are more death's attributed to smoking than there were in the 60's. And yes, I know the data wasn't all in then, and technology wasn't as advanced, and we just didn't understand the dangers of reduced smoking would cause to the tax base, blah, blah, blah. But more people are dying of cancer now than before? Does that mean something else might be the reason why? Like the cocktails of chemicals we get just from one pass at the drive through.

Face it folks, the plan for early death, apathy inducing carcinogens, and health issues to drain your wallet and keep you down are priced into everything they sell you.

And of course it's a great business model. Hell, look how many of us watch the stocks of the very companies who are killing us. Then get off work and go buy their products. Job Security........ for someone.

Yes.  Yes it can!  In fact, I had some of the original Fried Coke at a state fair.  At 830 calories per serving, it should not be consumed more than once per meal.  You've been warned.
