Check out this descriptive analysis and a well-written peice about the current situation on the ground in Syria:

Syrian rebels tried to get reporter killed in anti-Assad propaganda bid – report
Published: 09 June, 2012, 04:01
Journalist Alex Thomson reports that Syrian rebels set him and his crew up to be killed by Syrian troops in a bid to show Damascus in a negative light.

Thomson, a chief correspondent for Channel 4 news, says he and his group were deliberately given incorrect directions by a group of Syrian rebels. As a result, their car entered a free-fire zone, where the road ahead was blocked off, and started receiving shots presumably fired by the Syrian army, who thought the vehicle belonged to rebels.

“Suddenly four men in a black car beckon us to follow,” he wrote on the channel’s website. “We move out behind. We are led another route. Led in fact, straight into a free-fire zone. Told by the Free Syrian Army to follow a road that was blocked off in the middle of no-man’s land."

“I’m quite clear the rebels deliberately set us up to be shot by the Syrian army. Dead journos are bad for Damascus,” he stated.

RT: What you are basically saying is that rebel forces set you up to be shot at by the Syrian army?

Alex Thomson: I have no doubt in my mind what happened, nor independently, does the very experienced cameraman I was with, and, perhaps more importantly than that, neither does the driver or the translator we were working with have any doubt at all that we were deliberately led out of that town, which the rebels knew was dangerous. We were led there in a car with four men. Two or three of them were armed. They told us to go down a route which looked dangerous to us, but we trusted them, we said we would go down the route and turn. We turned and found it was blocked. That was a roadblock which they had to have known was there. There was nobody around and at that point we were forced to turn the vehicle around in a free-fire zone and were duly fired upon. We were definitely exposed to a dangerous situation. And I have absolutely no doubt they did it deliberately. When we reappeared, still alive, the car full of men saw us, turned round and drove off at speed.

Thus murderers and liars pretend to be innocent good guys and seek to involve us directly in their stinking western-backed insurgency in Syria.

Other than that, they're really, really nice.

Hillary, Barry and UN Secretary-General(s), past and present, just love them to bits.

NATO apologizes for civilian deaths in airstrike that killed 18 Afghans
Published: 08 June, 2012, 16:19
Afghan men search for the bodies of people killed in a NATO airstrike in Logar province June 6, 2012.
NATO has apologized for a deadly airstrike in Afghanistan’s Logar province, which took the lives of civilians, including children. The commander of US and NATO forces in Afghanistan personally delivered his regrets to local villagers.  Five women, seven children and six men were killed in the attack.

UN conspicuous by its complete silence regarding such butchery.

There's just no money in gabbing-on about a total failure.

The reports I have heard about Syria before all this fighting broke out is it is a fucked up place. If that is correct, I would assume it is really fucked up now.

You're missing Sancho here. "The witty one." If he were there he would tell his "man from La Mancha" to "watch out for this one. She might fart or something."

I thought about it, but in this original illustration, he seems to be covering his eyes, which I thought appropriate.

WB, how does one procure an original from you without utilizing a credit card, if you know what I mean?

williambanzai7's picture

I have been thinking about how to offer signed originals or to put it another way the question of permanence and provenance.

Putting aside the desire to hang something on the wall, the reality is with all these digital works, there is the constant risk that they will be SOPA'd off the internet. The death of Ray Bradbury this week got me thinking about it again.

The quick solution on a one off basis is to offer to print any image and offer to ship it signed in a roll. I once spoke to some local printers and was not happy with the pricing, the quality as well as their reluctance to go near anything with potential copyright issues, notwithstanding the parody exceptions.

However, I am sure I can find work arounds if people are interested.

I also do physical collages, which involve paper, glue and exacto knives. One thought I had was to do thematic collages using my images on request. For example, if someone wants a thematic piece about Bernanke, or the Euro or any of the other topics I cover, i would do a collage of images i have done. This would involve personal execution in the physical sense and the result would be an original work that would look good hanging on a wall.

If you are interested in obtaining a signed original please contact me via Flickr (clicking any image takes you to my flickr stream) or private messaging on twitter: @williambanzai7

Alright, I get it. You blame Jewish people for all the worlds' problems. If they were this powerful, you should be worshipping them. According to your own substitute for reason, the hebrews did kill your God 2000 years ago. In fact, they didn't even do it themselves, they just set it up. Your God was even Jewish. In fact, your Jewish God commanded you to turn the other cheek and love all the people lucky enough to be alive... all the other children of this God. What part of this do you not understand? According to your own system of values you're going to Hell, friend. Or as my people called it before your people borrowed it, Shaol.

It wouldn't occur to you that if you stop exaggerating about the Jewish peril and advocating their extermination, they might not be so defensive. If you did this to me I'd be plotting against you too.

Maybe its not the Jewish people who are preventing you from living a fulfllling and happy life. Maybe you need to pay more attention to what you're doing, and less time blaming anonymous strangers. Jew, Nazi, illegal alien, these are all meaningless labels political criminals use to distract you while they rob you and your children blind. You parrot what you do not understand because you are bored.

Stay in school, get a life.

Optimusprime's picture

Talk about missing the point.

It's not "Jewish people"; it 's the power of organized Jewry.  Look around you.

And to be sure, "Jewish people" are themselves frequently threatened by this power--remember Chaim Weitzman's statement to the effect that he did not care if all the Jews in Europe died, so long as Israel was founded.

When has Tamboo recommended "extermination", troll?

monad's picture

No, you are missing the point. To accuse Jews of exploiting non-Jews without looking at all the other equally powerful organized criminal "religions" and rogue State use of force on the backs of noncombatants is a bias you can not afford. The Jews organize into a bargaining unit? So? Don't blame them, when you can do this too. I don't care what group a criminal is affiliated with, its the crime that concerns me. About 6% of any group is criminal, and about half of these are really good at it. Worry about them.

The links posted advocate genocide and present a blatantly false revisionist history of WW2.

Troll? Is that dated cliche the best you can do?

I love your work William! I have a special request. With all of the news lately on the drones being used in the USA, I had an immediate thought of "Send in the Drones" to the tune of "Send in the Clowns"..... maybe some stick people clinging to their guns & bibles? Or some thought police cracking down on the forbidden words (pork?)? And of course some revised lyrics? Again, I so love and appreciate all that you do. Thanks for humoring me.

I did a drone post around Feb 2011. But the topic needs to be reddressed.

Don Quixote, step back, jack!

And my weekly rant:

Long ago, in a country far, far away, in another universe, pre-Obama (or should that be RambObama?) and pre-Bush, the bad guys actually, positively went to frigging jail!

OMG and it's sooo amazing, dood!

For sure and as in GE executives actually went to jail in the early 1960s for price fixing with Westinghouse.

For sure and as in 896 banksters actually went to jail for the S&L meltdown debacle in the early 1990s.

For sure and as in ADM executives actually went to jail for price fixing in the late 1990s.

But that, my children, was a different galaxy in another time.

The Paucity of Hope's picture

Read some of Bill Black's (who helped put them in jail) articles on the S&L crisis of the 1980s. Back then the banksters had Congress & the President under their thumbs, just not the regulators.

very good and spot on.  In addition, in that same universe bad business models failed and the management and shareholders were reasponsible for paying back the creditors and not the taxpayer.

That was coined back in the days of hand-to-hand fighting ... to keep the means of defense in the hands of the people, as opposed to the national armies of the aristocrats.

The modern equivalent -- in this age of push-button remote warfare -- is for every community to have the means of MAD within their grasp ... ie. for each nation state/tribe/community to have their own nukes as a means of defence against any budding imperialist. Iran, Israel and North Korea understand this ... Why does nobody else?

True, but wind power definitely shouts out Green Party and sustainability.

Which is why, in the upcoming presidential American election in 2012, one must inquire......

Vote Dr. Jill Stein in 2012.

Vote America ---- Vote Green ! !
