Tokyo Residents: Don't Touch the Black or Blue Dirt

George Washington's picture

Fukushima has been decimated by radiation.

But Fukushima City has less than 300,000 residents. And all of Fukushima prefecture has 2 million. On the other hand, greater Tokyo - the world's largest megacity - has 35 million inhabitants.

Tokyo soil has been blanketed by Fukushima radiation, even though the Japanese capital is 170 miles from the Fukushima nuclear complex.

Now, substances with even higher levels of radiation are showing up around Tokyo.

Minamisoma city council member Koichi Oyama writes:

People in Tokyo, the black substance is here!

***

Please, people who live around, look at that!

***

It’s on the roof, on the asphalt, on concrete… Everywhere on all surfaces.

“Almost every part where is black”.

“Those black substances have fallen away and because of the rain water it accumulates underfoot”.

“I think 1 micro is almost 100000 becquerels?, 1 second ?,?,? Ray 100 needles?”.

“Never touch them with naked hands”.

What is he talking about?

City council member Koichi filmed black "dirt" on the ground in various areas of Tokyo, showing very high radiation levels.

For example, here's Tokyo University last month:

Tokyo University Hospital:

Blue dirt at Sano SA

Blue dirt at Shinozaki Garden in Edogawa District

Blue dirt in front of National Printing Bureau in Kita District

(More videos)

Radioactive black substances have previously been found all over Japan, including on roads, near schools and other locations. Indeed, some of the highest radiation readings ever found in Japan come from such black substances.

Many in Japan are claiming that certain types of algae or bacteria are attracted to the radiation, and that the organisms are turning the radioactive substances black or blue. Some bacteria do use radiation as "food", and some algae do selectively "eat" cesium ... a substance put out in large quantities by Fukushima.

Others claim that this is ash from Japan's program of burning radioactive materials. Still others say that it is something coming directly from Fukushima's crippled reactors.

Whatever it is, one thing is for certain: Tokyo residents should not touch the stuff.

I supose any chernobyl + children search will give a good beating in that fake statistics.

I can only wish its yours and not my children and grandchildren that will be affected like that because I try to do something about it.

I dont say there is no use in nuclear energy like space ships or on nuclear doomsday machines like nuclear subs but no in Japan where the lad shakes more then anywhere else. And not in europe either but I supose we have to wait for the next disaster to really end this stupid reactor and their fiery spent fuel pools

at least he didn't bring up the whole "less radiation than in a banana" thing. i'm not sure i understood the article...but i believe the statistics on "death by radiation" are higher in Japan than any other country on earth. And of course "this can be changed." Heart disease, obesity, type two diabetes--they're all symptoms of something that is perfectly healthy (eating food) but taken to such an extreme that...sure, it's killing us. But to compare to dying of "radiation exposure" is beyond ridiculous. It's retarded! On the good side Japan recognizes this and is treating the "nuclear beast" with the utmost respect it demands of all of us. Given that without a doubt it's in Japans food supply...and perhaps many other people's as well...i think i'd lay off any "food references" myself. Having said that "what are we doing to find solutions here"? Getting rid of all nuclear power is one btw...and if it's the only one it goes to show just how dangerous this stuff really is.

170 miles is entirely too close to that disaster area. They make it sound like a safe distance. 17,000 miles isn't far enough lol.

Easy to poke fun at this, but it is all true, and there are plenty of videos with radiation measurements on a site you will find at

enenews.com

Every day, the best and breaking news on the Fukushima disaster, most of it from the ground in Japan.

Take a look.  There is plenty to fear here since they have elected not to stop it, and it is going to get worse besides.

Westcoasters should have used iodine tablets last March.  All of us should be ready with them if reactor #4 fuel rods break out.

Bullish for facemasks, rad booties, and oncologists in Japan.  In the U.S., don't eat ANY Pacific catch.  The Tuna is already all hot.

The FDA is not testing any food, apparently that is not part of their mandate.  Curious why we don't read ANY of this in the domestic commercial press.

Listen, I speak and read Japanese and live in Tokyo and after watching the first two videos here all I could do was laugh. All he says is things like "There's black dirt here... Also, the rainwater runs off here..." There's no radiation readings or anything to be seen here at all. My God! We're all going to die! There's dirt on the ground in Tokyo behind Tokyo university!!! What are we going to do??? (Psst! Don't tell anyone but you need a geiger counter and NOT a video camera to record high radiation... Even when you are recording behind a hospital, like Tokyo University Hospital, that regularly uses radiation to treat cancer patients!)

Mike:  I've given up trying to make this point here. I value much of what I read here but this Fukushima hysteria is just insane.  We probably watch the same MSM Japanese outlets and read similar papers so I know where you're coming from.  Some months ago there was a report (these always seem to come from the same 2 or 3 "sources") that for some reason Shiga Prefecture was being lit up.  As I know there was some problemsin tea leaves in Shizuoka, I actually rushed out to the agricultural land I have near Ootsu-shi, with a Geiger counter we bought to test produce from the store (for those who are curious we've NEVER seen any unusual spike in any Japanese domestic produce, though we consiouusly buy Kansai and Kyushu grown.)  I couldn't find anything on my property or any of the other random place in Shiga we drove to.  As you know, geiger counters, despite being soldout now on US prepper websites, they can be found in ample supply in Japan.  Now these are a people with a congenital affinity for burying the head in the sand but there is really not much there.

That all said, IF there are radiation deaths (so far ZERO) attributed to this anywhere in Japan, I'll start to pay a little more attention to GW's breathless ranting about Fukushima.  I wish he'd get back on the Gulf oil spill horse...

Thanks Vlad,

Yeah. To tell the truth, I was VERY pissed off that I spent $1,200 dollars for a kick-ass highest quality geiger counter only to never find any high radiation anywhere I looked and I've looked in dozens and dozens of places (and my radio show staff have too)... We gave up. The last big scare was the high radiation found at a house near Yoga in Setagaya... Turns out that old medical bottles were buried in the back yard.... SH*T! Thought I had a keeper there.... Know anyone who wants to buy a good geiger counter?

These people need to get a life and start worrying about stuff that they do that IS killing them... Eating SAD (Standard American Diet) is one... The direction the wind blows determined which citizens received the doses of radiation from Chernobyl.  Westerly winds have taken the materials away from Japan for the most part.  I won't go into the sea water contamination but the radiation levels on the west coast of N. America are higher than normal.  Thyroid cancers and oligohydramnios/miscarrages are up (I work in medical field).  And the change of the meltdown ending in an explosion should the structures collapse only added to the potential for great loss of life.

Before you dismiss this calamity, you should take into consideration the deaths and malformed children that took place northeast of Chernobyl by a few hundred miles and the habitats of wild life and the impact that will have on the health of the ocean, which feeds us all and provides or drinking water in the form of rain.

Nuclear power as a source of energy is using a deadly mixture "cannot be turned off" and such problems as where to store the spent fuel rods, of which there are thousands in total when added up.

Solar and wind seem to me to be the way to go, for cost and potential of failure.  I do not see how you could possibly argue that point.  Why take the chance?

so bizzare how japan and the nuke, and radiation and godzilla and this whole long association of the japanese with all of this crazy shit.

there is no doubt that fukushima is still spewing radioactivity into the ocean, and the government is BURNING irradiated garbage and debris puttingit into the air and poisoning Japan as well as the world's atmosphere---though at a highly diluted pace. Fukushima, years from now, will be determined to be far more destructive to Japan, and the world at large, than chernobyl simply for one reason---the Japanese Government chose Not to contain it, but to let it continue spewing radiation into the environment indefinitely. No other government will force the Japanese Government to figure out and execute  a method for ISolating and entombing fukushima unless it gets so bad that it destroys people or property in other governments' nations in a noticeable way that cannot be ignored. perhaps if all the tuna caught and brought to the u.s. is not safe for consumption one day.

I wonder if 20 years from now Japan will basically have a population of cancer patients unrivalled in the entire world, putting the u.s. too shame.

Seeking Robots to Go Where First Responders Can’t

Pentagon introduces contest - creation of robots

In the Tuesday announcement, the Defense Advanced Research and Planning Agency, or Darpa, lists eight likely tasks the robot will need to perform — among them driving a vehicle to a simulated disaster site, moving across rubble, removing rubble from an entryway, climbing a ladder, using a tool to break through a concrete wall, finding and closing a valve on a leaking pipe, and replacing a component like a cooling pump.

The agency has not yet announced how much it intends to spend on the program or the size of the prize. It is calling the program a “robotics challenge,” which is distinguished from a series of “grand challenge” events it held in 2004, 2005 and 2007, with $1 million and $2 million prizes for a contest to design autonomous vehicles to drive in desert and urban settings.

This is an ELE in slow motion. Japan will be a wasteland in 10 years. Looking at the increase in Infant Mortality Rates in the PNW after 3/11, we're losing an additional 1,000 infants a month, and growing. Thyroid tumors are up, and increasing amounts of heart disease - cesium attacks the muscles, and the heart goes first.

The PNW and West Coast is next, then the mid-West and South. The air, water and all our food is contaminated with uranium and plutonium, per the EPA.

The black substance they're finding in Japan is almost as radioactive as pure plutonium. It is spreading fast. When dry, it blows in the wind and is breathed in. It burns to the touch. If it makes it's way to Hawai'i, it'll hit the US mainland. It is some kind of mold/bacteria that feeds on radiation.

A large chunk of the West Coast population will be dead/dying of radiation-induced cancer/heart disease within 4 years. Then those numbers will be reported going East. The numbers will increase exponentially with bio-accumulation.

Within 40 years, we will run out of children that can reproduce. Anyone left will be dying of rad disease.

All the governments know this. The wealthy are preparing now, especially stockpiling cancer drugs. This is why the global shortages. You aren't on their list for help. Hedge accordingly.

Fear mongering? I can't monger loud enough. Hug your loved ones. This kills the kids first.

Incidentally, I have been looking everywhere for this kind of data, and without adding unnecessary fuel to the conspiratorial fire, I cannot find any fetal death data on the Web for the U.S. after 2009.   The CDC apparently stopped then, and it looks like all the states stopped collecting miscarriage/stillbirth data around the same time.   I would love someone to prove me wrong (GW?), but I simply cannot find data to even compare 2012 to 2011 or 2010.
