What is happening now and has been happening is the classic British military strategy of divide and conquer. The USA is almost equally divided and so the endgame is upon us.
The questions we should be asking are: who is trying to divide and conquer us, and where, and through what channels does it occur?
I think we all know the motivation: a world that reverts back to feudalism, whereby a wealthy minority rules as overlords to the rest of humanity who is too busy hating each other and fighting over a piece of bread to even comprehend their manipulated lives....as if they were naught but cattle or sheep; a herd to be grown and harvested.
Unfortanuately for The Powers That Be (TPTB) of the past, during the American Revolution, which we celebrate today, things did not quite turn out as expected. At that time, America was also almost equally divided, especially amongst patriots and loyalists. However, the American patriots refused to submit as debt serfs, indentured servants, or subjects, and thus the United States of America was born by those who would not submit to tyranny. Debtor's prisons were abolished. Indentured servitude had a time limit. Unfortunately, outright slavery was not abolished at that same time, but we did get there eventually. Now, we face "A Great Unwinding" of all that our country, and we as a people stand for.
So, on this 4th of July, let us remember the true and original 4th of July, and why it was so important to humanity. And as an aside, please don't let any corporation have any say in our celebration. It was human beings, not corporations, that liberated America from colonial rule. Corporations fired exactly zero shots in any battle and lost exactly no lives because corporations are not people and therefore have no life to lose and therefore have no unailienable rights to Life, Liberty or the Pursuit of Happiness. Human beings of diverse races, creeds, and religions, on the other hand, did indeed earn our rights and our freedoms....of what we have left.

Had America been faced with a true external enemy I am sure it would awakened from its bad dream and picked itself up. But as I observe the events in America I see a nation which is being destroyed from within by a select group that forgot that duty to country is paramount and therefore ahead of profit, postion and power.
Jimi Hendrix Star Spangled Banner is still bouncing around in my head even after 40 years.
It is even more relevant today than it was back then.
His rendition, which I believe is definitive, is loaded with imagery.
But what I believe makes it even more relevant is him saying: I'm an American and this is how I see it. Fuck you if you don't like the way I see it.
And what really made it awesome back then, is no one could just call him a hippy coward, because he served.
So it is kind of a national anthem for those who see it differently.
I've often thought his rendition was a release of the noise of combat rolling around in his head.

I have to admit when I go back and look at everything i have done I am surprised. The meaning under the surface of it all really jumps out.

In a really mind-numbing discussion with a Liberal yesterday, they were completely unabashed in their rabid support of O'Care. They thought this decision was the greatest thing since sliced bread. When I pointed out that the SC's decision gave .Gov the ability to use a 'tax' as a penalty for action or inaction that it didn't want, they lost it. I then asked if they thought it would be OK for .Gov to require all people to purchase car insurance when they turned 15 because there 'might' be a chance they would get in a car and drive it (without a license or insurance) sometime in their life, would that be OK? Of course not...They then told me I better just learn to deal with this because it's a done deal and there was nothing I could do about it. They also suggested that I move to Canada to get insurance to deal with my anger issues and ulcer from worrying about something I couldn't change. Curious, I asked if they were from Canada, the reply was yes. I then suggested they look up the definition of 'repeal', how a Democratic Republic works, and that she move (back) to Canada since she already had her desired form of health insurance there and we didn't want it here. She teaches at a local college...
They then told me I better just learn to deal with this because it's a done deal and there was nothing I could do about it.
