If there ever was a noble theme to the Olympic games (and this is not altogether clear), there certainly is no longer.

The games have become a giant celebration idolizing the globalist ideals of corporatism, consumerism and leverage. In London, these are embodied in the banking and finance industry.

These Olympic games are opening under the "invigilating" eye of TPTB and the copyright police, to great inconvenience to the ordinary citizens of London, aka LIBORIA.

Coincidently, the citizens of the last two venues are not fairing well this week either. In Beijing they are wondering how so much could be spent on grandiose Olympic facilities when the city's outdated sewage and drainage system contributed to 37 deaths as a result of floods.

In Athens, there is no need to wonder how so much could be squandered on grandiose Olympic facilities that now stand idle, they are all too busy worrying about how they are going to put bread on the table when Greece inevitably defaults.

No matter...let the games begin:

Citius, Altius, Debitum...

If you are refering to the Haynes bottom, it was 6000 something in 3/09 and spot on. As to who had to predict the mkt, it was him. A vertern of CNBC.

Not to point out the obvious, but that "runner" won gold in Berlin, 1936.

Jesse Owens single-handedly showed Hitler he was a moron. The latter refused to watch the champ be crowned with his gold medal in Berlin's Olympiastadion.

Apparently that "truth" that we were all taught (Hitler not shaking Owens hand) is not true. Anti-Ahmedinajad-like propaganda operated even back then? Shocking stuff I know. From the Telegraph (although the story has been scrubbed from their site):
