NEIL ARMSTRONG...

williambanzai7's picture

I remember watching Neil Armstrong land on the Moon...And I remember the days when our national heroes looked like this...

JULY 1969
.

And not like this...

JAMIE KNIEVEL

or this...

MOTHER FLEECEM

or this...

UNCLE SCAM

Yet here we are...

JULY 2012
.

Rest in Peace Neil Armstrong...

I hope they revisit the soundstage where the moon landing "occured". I stopped believing that we landed on the moon when I developed rational thinking  as a child. seriously-with the technology that was available back then we went 480000 miles round trip? It was nothing but a "mine's bigger" contest with the Red Menace.

Yep. You can't even put a satellite into orbit around the earth, seein' as how it is flat and all. /s

Gimmee a break. We landed on the moon. It happened. If it were faked, the Soviets would have been all over it like stink on shit.

BTW, RIP Neil.

If anyone does, it will be the Chinese, because the "soundstage" is on the friggin' moon.

Perhaps someday you'll develop rational thinking as an adult.

It was a distraction from LBJ's War.  Everytime there was a Vietnam problem, he had NASA "launch" another Apollo.  #13 was an especially outstanding distraction -- even better than baseball.

Understood. I'm certainly no fan of LBJ. At the time, I was too young to understand what was happening. I remember my grandma would get nervous whenever the TV news had coverage of Vietnam, because my uncle was over there.

I was draftable and knew that the whole fucking war thing was an awful hoax and the "Good Guys" were on the other side.

You are correct in your assessment. Most Americans are not aware that, following the first world war, Ho Chi Minh, citing the US Declaration of Independence, petitioned US president Woodrow Wilson for help in replacing the occupational French government with a new nationalist government. His appeals were ignored by the western powers at Versailles. Following the second world war, he repeatedly petitioned US president Truman for support of Vietnamese independence, but never received a response.

The Vietnamese Declaration of Independence even cites principles from the US Declaration of Independence.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proclamation_of_Independence_of_the_Democra...

The slow but steady spread of the realization that the US is not always the "Good Guys" may be what prompted the recent "global force for good" propaganda campaign of the US Navy.

JFK and LBJ's war.  The Good Guys - there were no good guys.  The other side were not good either. All politicians.

LBJ killed Kennedy because the money that LBJ could make off Vietnam was too damn good.   He had a piece of everything in Texas including North American, Bell Helicopters, Johnson Fence Company, Brown & Root construction (aka Halliburton).   All the base fencing and all the bases in SE Asia made lBJ money.

LBJ was not going to be JFK's running mate the next time around.  LBJ was going to get indicted or given the chance to leave the ticket.  RFK and others were on LBJ.   The Kennedys got in bed with slimy people and got mega payback when they tried to screw them over.

Sun, 08/26/2012 - 14:08 | 2738813 FeralSerf
FeralSerf's picture

LBJ was a tool of The Oligarchy that planned the Vietnam War.  JFK was in the process of getting out of that quagmire.  It wasn't JFK's war, according to L. Fletcher Prouty, who was there on the inside.  Read his "JFK: The CIA, Vietnam and the Plot to Assassinate John F. Kennedy".

LBJ didn't have the means to kill JFK, but his puppeteers did and they did.

The other side was defending themselves against colonial superpowers that were invading, or in the case of the French occupying, their country.  That makes them the "Good Guys" in this context.

If Bobby had made Pres., and it looked like there was a good chance, there was a justified fear that there would have been a real investigation into JFK's murder.  Bobbie wasn't a team player anymore than JFK was.  And he was nastier to his enemies as well.  And he didn't like Texans or the Allen brothers much.

Hilarious Onion Moon Landing 'original NASA tape' with lots of vulgar language:

'Can you believe it? We are on the f-cking moon!'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIkHLO93lCA

The moon landing hoax debate is fascinating ... for several decades, including 1969, the US government did have semi-secret state of the art movie studies in Laurel Canyon near Hollywood ... the same Laurel Canyon where many children of US military and intelligence agents - such as Jim Morrison and the Doors, Frank Zappa, The Mamas and the Papas and many others - were gathered for the CIA's programme of overnight inventing the 'hippie' movement to make sure the anti-war movement was sidetracked into drugs and hedonism and eccentric behaviour

Re Laurel Canyon and how all those 'great 60s music groups' in America were military and intelligence agency children, who often had little musical background, as well as the Moon Hoax arguments, the best expert is David McGowan

A really great but lengthy summary of the 'moon landings were a hoax' argument by David McGowan, 'Wagging the Moondoggie' - much better and more thorough than it sounds - starting here:
