New York Times: White House Didn’t Stop 9/11 Because It Thought “Bin Laden Was Merely PRETENDING To Be Planning An Attack ...
It has been thoroughly documented that 9/11 was entirely foreseeable … including Al Qaeda’s plans to fly planes into the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
It has been extensively documented that the White House decided to invade Iraq before 9/11:
- The decision to launch the Iraq war was made before 9/11. Indeed, former CIA director George Tenet said that the White House wanted to invade Iraq long before 9/11, and inserted “crap” in its justifications for invading Iraq. Former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill – who sat on the National Security Council – also says that Bush planned the Iraq war before 9/11. Top British officials say that the U.S. discussed Iraq regime change even before Bush took office. And in 2000, Cheney said a Bush administration might “have to take military action to forcibly remove Saddam from power.” And see this.
- Cheney made Iraqi’s oil fields a national security priority before 9/11. And the Sunday Herald reported: “Five months before September 11, the US advocated using force against Iraq … to secure control of its oil.” (remember that Alan Greenspan, John McCain, George W. Bush, Sarah Palin, a high-level National Security Council officer and others all say that the Iraq war was really about oil.)
(Indeed, neoconservatives planned regime change throughout the Middle East and North Africa 20 years ago; and the neoliberals are no different)
Right after 9/11, Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld accused Iraq of having a hand in the attacks. People may not remember now, but – at the time – the supposed Saddam-9/11 link was at least as important a justification for the Iraq war as the alleged weapons of mass destruction.
Bush and Cheney then launched a systematic program of torture in an attempt to create false evidence – through false confessions – of a link between Iraq and 9/11. The torture techniques used were Communist techniques specifically designed to produce false confessions.
This claim that Iraq is linked to 9/11 has since been debunked by the 9/11 Commission, top government officials, and even – long after they alleged such a link – Bush and Cheney themselves.
The 9/11 Commission found that the White House and its Defense Department obstructed justice in numerous ways to deflect blame for 9/11.
Today, the New York Times adds a bizarre new wrinkle to this story:
I have read excerpts from many of [the still-classified Presidential Daily Briefs] … and come to an inescapable conclusion: the administration’s reaction to what Mr. Bush was told in the weeks before that infamous briefing reflected significantly more negligence than has been disclosed. In other words, the Aug. 6 document, for all of the controversy it provoked, is not nearly as shocking as the briefs that came before it. The direct warnings to Mr. Bush about the possibility of a Qaeda attack began in the spring of 2001. By May 1, the Central Intelligence Agency told the White House of a report that “a group presently in the United States” was planning a terrorist operation. Weeks later, on June 22, the daily brief reported that Qaeda strikes could be “imminent,” although intelligence suggested the time frame was flexible.
But some in the administration considered the warning to be just bluster. An intelligence official and a member of the Bush administration both told me in interviews that the neoconservative leaders who had recently assumed power at the Pentagon were warning the White House that the C.I.A. had been fooled; according to this theory, Bin Laden was merely pretending to be planning an attack to distract the administration from Saddam Hussein, whom the neoconservatives saw as a greater threat. Intelligence officials, these sources said, protested that the idea of Bin Laden, an Islamic fundamentalist, conspiring with Mr. Hussein, an Iraqi secularist, was ridiculous, but the neoconservatives’ suspicions were nevertheless carrying the day.
In response, the C.I.A. prepared an analysis that all but pleaded with the White House to accept that the danger from Bin Laden was real.
“The U.S. is not the target of a disinformation campaign by Usama Bin Laden,” the daily brief of June 29 read, using the government’s transliteration of Bin Laden’s first name. Going on for more than a page, the document recited much of the evidence ….
And the C.I.A. repeated the warnings in the briefs that followed.

Yet, the White House failed to take significant action. Officials at the Counterterrorism Center of the C.I.A. grew apoplectic. On July 9, at a meeting of the counterterrorism group, one official suggested that the staff put in for a transfer so that somebody else would be responsible when the attack took place, two people who were there told me in interviews. The suggestion was batted down, they said, because there would be no time to train anyone else.

Along with this 9/11 article, read Paul Craig Robert's 9/11 anniversary article. I don't always agree with Roberts (especially when he talks about his days working for the Reagan Administration) but I'm with him all the way when it comes to 9/11. Over half the American population now understands that 9/11 could not have happened the way they said. It really is a NO BRAINER, but unfortunately we got a lot of citizens (Men as much as women) that rely on emotion and tv for their understanding of reality; so while they may be "smart" they are thoroughly ignorant human beings who are on par with the Germans of Adolf Hitler's era.

Bush to appoint a political commission, devoid of any experts, to hold a pretend investigation.

Now, if you do the math, that means the top portion of the building fell ~100 feet without any significant upward resistant across the entire cross section of the building.
Put another way, what you see is equivalent to a building that had and even 10 story cross section vaporized by an alien anti-matter laser.
Think about that. Clearly, cotnrolled demolition with pre-planned charges can take down a building like that - just place the charges in the right location and time them all so you can "pull it" at the same instant.
Asymmetrical damage would cause one section to give way first, that section would then have the upper portion of the building begin to fall on the weakend section and then gravity would cause the building to topple over the weakend section.

Information collected under special FISA warrants, which do not require a probable cause, was generally not to be shared with personnel responsible for enforcing federal criminal laws — where probable cause must be demonstrated for a warrant to be issued. She was the definition of...conflict of interest...because it was her memo that took a very resonable rule which I support 1,000 percent (military & intelligence agencies cannot gather information on US citizens) and specified anyone within these borders...citizen or not...cannot be surveiled as a potential threat or even to say to local law enforcement we're watching this guy.
Her interest, in my opinion, was not to get to any truth...it was to cover up her incompetence in issuing this stupid memo. Foreigners, again my opinion, do not have the same rights as a citizen here. They are subject to the same laws as everyone else, but not the same rights.

The Iraqi military was decimated in the first gulf war and the country crippled by sanctions for a decade. By 2003, 2/3 of it was under no fly zones with IAEA inspectors being directed by the intelligence agencies, reporting no weapons to be found. It is a no brainer that they ultimately didn't find any WMD in Iraq and it was never even close to being a threat in the region, let alone the US.
You didn't plan that false flag attack. Somebody else did that.

On a serious note, I would plead with any civilized and thinking types out there to consider the top two reasons for always doubting and mistrusting the official 9/11 Bush/Cheney/everyone else conspiracy:
(1) The incredible aviation feat of that plane which flew dead center into the Pentagon's west wall, when it would have been far easier, and far more deadly, to simply fly straight down into the roof of the Pentagon or, if aiming for the top management echelon, to have flown into the opposite side from above. Instead, from a commercial satellite aerial photo of the Pentagon's roof, taken 24 hours later, we know from those fresh burn marks it was a dead center crash, which killed most of the DIA's Financial Management staff, and badly injured those who lived.
That was the auditing team which had uncovered that unaccounted for $2.3 trillion which the Pentagon's comptroller had spoken of on 9/10/01 during a nationally televised news conference (I, and many others, actually saw it on the news that night --- although countless Ameritards will forever doubt this, and refuse to check for themselves.
What a "coincidence" --- the auditing team uncovers $2.3 trillion missing, and the very next day most of them are killed.
(2) That female newsy from BBC, standing in front of an untouched Building 7, while announcing the complete destruction of Building 7, which wouldn't occur for another several hours, along with the destruction of 3,000 ongoing cases' worth of source documents of SEC investigation cases regarding criminal corporations, thus ending those investigations and legal cases (no source docs, no more case).
Follow the money, please, not the endlessly parsed details.

The leaseholder of the WTC complex got his billions, and all that asbestos cleaned up complements of the taxpayers, the neo-con's got their war on the muslims, who had nothing to do with it, and Cheney got his test of the new "reinforcing" of the pentagon, against bunker busters.
