Financial REALity TV #2 - Bernanke's Bank Bailouts Blow Up The Consumer Discretionary Sector! Boom!!!
The 2nd demo of the new Financial REALity TV show is available. The variable audio is due to the total lack of cooperation from the subject company's employees, as you could probably assume. After all, there are a few things not to be too proud of...

2nd video of you I've tried to watch that I can't because of sound problems, wear a lapel mike or something.
Steinway seems more intent on providing pianos to folks who want a piece of furniture for oooh/ahh appeal, not providing pianists with high quality pianos. Similar marketing strategy used for $16k umbrellas. Being a musician myself (guitar) it makes me laugh, so ridiculous. The high end sound system seems ridiculous, my bet is a sound system of equivalent or better sound quality (at least as far as most ears can actually hear) could be had for < 6k.
My sister has the family piano (Steinway) built sometime in 1880's with actual ivory keys, I'm glad she has it, I couldn't deal with it properly and wouldn't want to sell it either.
I don't understand why you bother responding to some folks who comment about irrelevant aspects of your video Reggie? One of the most interesting charts depicting the state of things these days that I look at periodically is this: http://investmenttools.com/futures/bdi_baltic_dry_index.htm ... bullish huh? :)
Steinway is the high end in grand pianos just like the other luxury brands such as Vuitton, Bulgari & Mercedes Benz.
If they sold their instruments as an inflation hedge like fine art, they might make more profits. No wonder the salesman gave you the BUM'S RUSH !
cut to the chase!
time is money!
this could easily be edited down to 5 minutes!
i bailed after less than 4 minutes since you couldnt get to the point in a timely manner.

reggie...having done my time in the film business...a few pointers.
press your wardrobe and only wear the clothes when on camera. do not sit down in your cloths between takes. your clothes are wrinkled.they look like shit....look at the back of your shirt when you walk into frame....!
get a camera with interchangeable lenses and think out your shots. if you are doing a talking head shot go in close. if you are 2ft taller than your cohost either put her on a box or sit down and then bring the camera in closer.
cut out all the stupid canned sound effects.
get some lights and learn how to use them.
hire a sound person.
how does any of that matter?
He's not in the make believe business. He just works around alot of make believe.
Reggie should focus his time on what matters, not necessarily 'not sitting down between takes', 'not wearing certain clothes unless he's on TV'.
All that stuff doesn't matter. It's film bs that is catering to an audience for appearences. I.E. It doesn't matter.
I'm sure he could and may do some of what you suggest, but really, it's not needed. Reggie doesn't have to be like CNBC or a Hollywood film. He just needs to be Reggie. Where should his focus be, on looking good or getting the info out the best way? Adding hoops for the sake of adding hoops is a bit much.
All that other stuff is enitrely uneccessary and very overrated. Playing to the camera is idiotic and quite vain. Isn't it a little vain to expect someone to be eye pleasing and conforming from the audience side too? Yes.
jmc8888 - do you walk around with shit in your pants? do you bath regularly? you are a fucking idiot....you are obviously unemployed becase you would show up at a job interview in sweats because appearances dont matter?
a professional appearance is extremely important. a well crafted presentation is the difference between a million dollar sale and a hack using ms powerpoint with the little stick people.
Needs a good theme song too.
much better - they both lie down on a couch
Thanks for pointing out the obvious.
The Fed is bailing out the banks - again. Buying their MBS at face value (?) to the tune of $40 billion a month.
Details are murky at best. Which banks are the beneficiaries and why $40 billion a month as opposed to $30 bln or $50 bln. Makes no sense.
Numbers straight out of Ben's ass and paid with money out of thin air.
Whatever the pundits want to call Ben's latest gimmick.
IT IS NOT QE3, it's the creation of a BAD BANK. It will allow bankers to build themselves more mansions, buy more Bentleys and drink more champaign.
People should stop paying their mortgages. Why bother? Ben will cover the banks for ya.
FUBAR
All i hear is murmering, why bother posting videos nobody can hear?
Reggie Middleton: B+ for content. F for production quality.
Could you spend a bit more (time/money) on audio? Hard to hear and when you turn it up the bombs are too loud, content is certainly spot on.
love to see you on tv reggie, love your style. ego is no problem when you got good reason for it, but having seen you on many different shows, i have been always impressed with your humility
Thank you very much, my friend!
Very much like the Asian woman in Reggie's video, but Reggie needs better camera work and scene design. The petite woman with her cute smile is more than half blocked out of the static shot ... Need to see her full-length (skirt, legs, heels maybe?)
She's still the highlight of the video tho. She should be the star and question and say more, that would actually enhance Reggie's message.
Reggie looks good on the street in the white shirt and colourful emerging-world necklace ... but the image of bare-shirted Reggie in the beginning is not the right start to this.
Reggie, dude, you got an ego man ... but ya gotta think of how it plays to people watching. And for the rest, tuck yer' friggin shirt in.
So far, Lauren Lyster and Capital Account have nothing to worry about ... Maybe if Reggie can get that Asian woman to be in charge of this, and he plays it a little lower key ...
Yeah, good on content but the DICKTION could be improved.
Interesting... Asian woman, legs., skirt, heels, shirt (and/or lack thereof), ego, and not a single word on content.
And to think, the video's slogan is "Reality TV for smart people..." Maybe, Reality TV for smart people that like Asians and legs would be more appropriate for many, and I do understand the sex appeal thing, but that is not what I'm going after right now and that is done in CNBC space aplenty.
For those that may not realize, I put a couple of clips out with what I consider to be real content to see if networks would be willing to bite. With that being said, I'm not going to spend a lot of money, time or resources on video production. What I provide is content, insight, truth, accuracy and knowledge. I feel that is lacking in TV now, and lacking big time.
If you are looking for slick, or even polished productions, then I probably wouldn't be the one to look to even if (or when) a network to studio decides to pick it up. As I said in the video, I believe content is king and that is what I offer to those who value it. If a wider audience values it as much as I believe they will, then I will push the production values much higher through a studio, network and/or production company. Thus far, despite the poor amateur production values, the audience truly seems to dig the content. The last video got 13000 views in two days, 91 likes/0 dislikes - all with no promotion or marketing save posting on my blog (and here). Maybe there is hope for those who value real analytical content!!!???
Maybe I'll see if I can find some more Asian women for you (for the record, she's northern European as one can tell from her accent, not Asian, but I can certainly understand your error). Then again, I could be wrong. Am I African?
Great stuff. But the petite lass was northern european! who would have guessed.... eskimo maybe. In any case WB7 has a portfolio and maybe he could recommend :-)
