Actually, this is not Europe … all of the photos were taken in Iran.

Wait … what?  How can that be?

When Americans think about Iran, they usually picture something like this:

Or this:

Or perhaps this:

SandstormSaudiArabia2 Guess Where These Beautiful Pictures Were Taken ...

The 4 Middle Eastern pictures above are from Saudi Arabia, not Iran. Same thing, you say?   Actually, Saudi Arabia is doing its best to overthrow Iran via terrorism, and is persecuting Christians and Jews much more than Iran.

Maybe we should learn a little bit more before deciding whether or not to bomb Iran?

Especially since the U.S. has been claiming for more than 30 years that Iran was on the verge of nuclear capability, and top American and Israeli defense and intelligence bosses say that bombing Iran will only increase the odds that Iran will actually build a nuclear weapon?

Postscript:   Iran obviously has problems and is far from perfect.  But given the tidal wave of propaganda in the news which is doing everything possible to “demonize the enemy” to justify war, we think it is valuable to provide some balance and perspective.

The landscaping isn't the problem, although the landscaping in Iran is clearly more pleasant than Saudi Arabia. It's the humans and their memes that present a mortal threat.

Maybe if Islam "reforms" like every other major religion did, there might be enough room on this rock for it and the other religions to get along.

Eliminating the death penalty for sacrilege and heresy is a start. Backing off the honor killing of women and children could also help demonstrate that this retrograde meme belongs in the present.

Hate to spoil the ending, but that will never happen.

Muslims are entitled to live however they please in their lands.  Who the hell are you or anybody to tell people how they should and should not live in their own land?  Persians have lived in Iran for at least 6000 years.  Many Persians have been Muslims for 1300 years or more.  Now they should change their entire way of life because you don't like it?  I'm certain that if the world lived under a Pax-Persia, you would quickly change your entire life to conform to their desires.

There is a strong Armenian community especially in Northern Iran in the border region to Armenia. In the northernmost parts of Iran there a some important places of the Armenian Apostolic Church and during religious holidays some places are only available to Armenians.

In all the demonized countries in the Middle East, a surprising level of religious freedom prevailed. And there is even a small Jewish community in Iran. But now, Christians are hunted down in Syria, many Armenians have left Aleppo for example.

Also, here in Europe whereever you look at the Muslim communities Persians almost everywhere turn out to be the most modern and best integrated people from the Middle East or North Africa.

Iranian Husband Dressed As Santa Blamed For Christmas Day Massacre

By ALYSSA NEWCOMB (@alyssanewcomb)
Dec. 27, 2011

A Santa-suited gunman who killed six people on Christmas morning was the estranged husband of one of the victims and the father of two teenagers who died in the massacre.
Aziz Yazdanpanah, 56, showed up to his estranged wife's apartment on Christmas morning dressed like St. Nick and opened fire shortly after the family had unwrapped presents.
Yazdanpanah then killed himself.
The six victims were identified by ABC affiliate WFAA as: Nasrin Rahmaty, 55, who was Yazdanpanah's wife; Nona Yazdanpanah, 19, his daughter; Ali Yazdanpanah, 15, his son; Zohreh Rahmaty, 58, his sister-in-law; Hossein Zarei, 59, his brother-in-law; and Sahra Zarei, 22, his niece.
The medical examiner's office has still not released the names of the victims.
Zarei owned a popular Dallas, Texas, ranch and was well known in the Iranian-American community, according to WFAA. On Christmas Eve, the family hosted a party at the ranch. The gunman was not invited.

anyone without nukes and a NWO central banking cartel hub is an easy/prime target for NWO neocolonialism

hard to imagine why Iran would want to arm themselves....

entire region has been mexicoized anyways for nearly a century - little wonder Tehran (LA is also a shithole) looks as bad today as it does

roll the clock back just 40 years and you can see the edges of a culture that mightve gone further in the right direction than any middle eastern nation of its size

but of course the owners of planet earth do not want that

a lack of externalized control paradigm input/output matrices makes places like Iran Prime targets for NWO aggression- they gotta be slaved to the MASTER CONTROL PROGRAM

welcome to the grid users (iranian girls are smoking hot - maybe if we release enough iranian porn it will turn the tide, we need to think outside the box gentlemen)

long way to go for a vagina joke but there you have it, feature-rich like an islave

Better watch that kind of talk on ZH.  Any criticism of Iran

is immediately denounced because, you know, it's either Zionist propoganda or we're all sheeple or one-man dictatorships are preferable to elected leaders.  What I still can't grasp is folks who claim to believe in personal liberty defend the most oppressive regimes on the planet.  The irony is that they would not be allowed to express themselves in this manner in those countries.

Are we economically screwed up?  Yeah. Do we have the freedom to say so and denounce our leaders without a visit from the secret police?  Yeah.  That's the difference.  On with the down arrows.

Avidtango Zh actually supports freedom of speech.  Most people do not like this freedom when it conflicts with their values.  I am at time conflicted but then I remember with freedom comes ideas we disagree with.  Have you lived in Iran?  Have you toured Iran?  If not you like most, know nothing about Iran.  Instead you believe what the politicians and others have said about the country.  So you bought into the propaganda.  At one time I did as well but no more.  I have lived most of my adult life around the world and what is portrayed in the media is an outright lie many times, about many countries.

Think, discuss, become enlightened as not everything is as it appears.  Critical thinking is more then reading the party line.  I think you will find Iranians do not want to go to war with the USA.  Think about it from their perspective being cut off from the world because we disagree.  Pick and sift through the rhetoric and you will find they do not have a nuke and will not for some time to come.  The truth even surfaces from our government representatives from time to time.

I cannot believe our elected representatives when they lie to us about how well we are off and yet I go buy items every week and inflation is killing us.  But of course it is not counted.  Open your eyes and look through the forest instead of looking at the pretty trees.  I may not agree with what ZH posts from time to time but it is what you do with the information that is important.

As a former world traveler, and 'eyes open' person, I can't even begin to give you enough up arrows for your post.

To bad most people who post on here who are against Iran sound Exactly like FOX/CNN/ABC/CBS/AIPAC, etc. etc. et al; yet come to a web-site that provides a completely contrary view of what we've been told about our economy and world politics.... and backs it up with proof unlike the previously mentioned snewz AGENTcies.

THey almost sound like 'plants' to the site to shill against someone's agenda......... but that doesn't happen in America like it does in Iran?.....Does it?!?

why not? its small potatoes compared to Babylon and wont even be as entertaining as the next big budget blockbuster - also the latest call of doody, modern warfare, black ops, ninja pirates edition of battlefield earth the video game clearly shows us that Iranians are savages, therefore your images of this beautiful patch of earth are irrelevant

its the end of history after all
