All the media are now giving Uncle Warren free air time so he can push his latest advice...buy a house. Say's he would buy several hundred thousand of them himself as an investment if he could figure out how to manage them all. Well, Warren, considering you could end up with a share of B of A's foreclosure portfolio on that scale you might want to figure that management thing out right quick (like Becky Quick). But, I'm sure this little inventory problem has nothing to do with his actions.
It's amazing how a huge, finely oiled, machine consisting of lobbyists, influence peddlers, hordes of attorneys, politicos, PR groups, gladhanders, political manipulators, and publicists can keep and maintain an image of small town friendliness around a vicious and ruthless tycoon. You have to admire the machine.
The alternative is too frightening to consider.

Zero Govt, I really don't understand how you can be so contemptuos of trains in general. the "decline" of railroads in the US has a lot to do with the government money funding the roads - trains have to pay for their own tracks.
from an energy use perspective, trains need ten times less energy per ton transported and from an energy source perspective locomotives can be converted more easily to let's say gas, or nuclear electricity (like here in europe) or even micro-nuclear.
