Presented without comment - Yale tuition in grams of Not Money

Pretty sure Big Ben wishes he invested in gold before his son went to college. Yay fiat money.

`I shall die -- I shall Jordan Shoes For Sale quickly die,' said Ursula to herself, clear Jordan Retro Shoes as if in a trance, clear, calm, and certain beyond human certainty. But Cheap Jordan Shoes somewhere behind, in the Jordan Retro 12 twilight, there was a bitter Jordan Retro 9 weeping and a hopelessness. That must not be attended to. One must go where the unfaltering Jordan Retro 13 spirit goes, there must be no baulking Jordan Retro 8 the issue, because of fear. No baulking the issue, no listening to the lesser voices. If the Jordan Retro 11 deepest desire be now, to go on into the unknown of death, shall one forfeit the deepest truth for one more shallow?`Then let it end,' she Jordan CP3 IV said to herself. It was a Jordan V.2 Grown decision. It was not a question of taking Jordan Trunner Q4 one's life -- she would never kill herself, that was repulsive and violent. It was a Jordan TC question of knowing the next step. And the Jordan Take Flight next step led into the space of death. Did it? -- or was Jordan Spizike there --?Her thoughts drifted into unconsciousness, she sat as if asleep beside the Jordan Son of Mars fire. And then the thought came back. The space o' death! Could she give herself to it? Ah yes -- it was a sleep. She had had Jordan SC-2 enough So long she had held out; and resisted. Now was the time to relinquish, not to resist any more.In a kind of spiritual trance, she Jordan Pro Strong yielded, she gave way, and all was dark. She could feel, within the darkness, the terrible assertion of her body, the unutterable Jordan Pro Classic anguish of dissolution, the only anguish Jordan Retro 10 that is too much, the far-off, awful nausea of dissolution set in within the body`Does the body Jordan Play In These correspond so immediately with the spirit?' she asked herself. And she knew, with the clarity of ultimate knowledge, that the body is only Jordan Retro 1 one of the manifestations of the spirit, the transmutation of the integral spirit is the transmutation of the physical body as well. Unless I set my will, unless I absolve myself from the rhythm of life, fix myself and remain static, cut off from living, absolved within my own will. But better die than live mechanically a life that is a repetition of repetitions.

Tomorrow was Monday. Monday, the Nike Outlet Online beginning of another school-week! Jordan Retro Shoes Another shameful, barren school-week, mere routine and mechanical activity. Was Nike Air Max Sale not the adventure of death infinitely preferable? Was not death infinitely more lovely Nike Air Max 2012 and noble than such a life? A life of barren routine, without inner meaning, without any real significance. How Nike Air Max 90 sordid life was, how it Nike Air Max 24-7 was a terrible shame to the soul, to live Nike Air Max Classic BW now! How much cleaner and more dignified to be dead! One could not Nike Air Max LTD bear any more of this Nike Air Max TN shame of sordid routine and mechanical nullity. One Nike Air Griffey Max might come to fruit in death. She had had enough. For where was life Nike Shox Navina to be found? No flowers grow upon busy machinery, there is no sky to a routine, there is no space to a rotary motion. And all life was a Nike Shox Deliver rotary motion, mechanised, cut off from reality. There was nothing to look for from life -- it was the same in all Nike Shox Agent countries and all peoples. The Nike Shox Clearance only window was death. One could look out Nike Dunk For Sale on to the great dark sky of death with elation, as one had looked out of the classroom window as a Nike Dunk High Tops child, and seen perfect Nike High Tops freedom in the outside. Now one was not a Cheap Air Force One Shoes child, and one knew that the soul was a prisoner within this sordid vast edifice of life, and there was no Air Force One High Tops escape, save in death. But what a joy! What a gladness to think that whatever humanity did, it could not seize Air Force One Low hold of the kingdom of death, to nullify that. The sea they turned into a murderous alley and a soiled road of commerce, disputed like Nike Dunk Low the dirty land of a city every inch of it. The air they claimed too, shared it up, parcelled it out to certain owners, they trespassed in the Cheap Supra Shoes air to fight for it. Everything Supra Skytop III was gone, walled in, with spikes on top of the walls, and one Supra TK Society must ignominiously creep between the spiky walls through a labyrinth of life. But Supra Skytop the great, dark, illimitable kingdom of death, there humanity was put to scorn. So much they could do upon earth, the multifarious little LeBron James Shoes gods that they were. But the kingdom of death put them all to scorn, they dwindled into their true vulgar silliness in face of it.To Kobe Bryant Shoes die is to move on with the invisible. To die is also a joy, a joy of submitting to that which is greater than the known, namely, the pure unknown. That is a joy. But to live Derrick Rose Shoes mechanised and cut off within the motion of the will, to live as an entity absolved from the unknown, that is shameful Nike Air Griffey Max and ignominious. There is no ignominy in death. There is complete ignominy in an unreplenished, mechanised life. Life indeed may be ignominious, shameful to the soul. But death is never a shame. Death itself, like the illimitable space, is beyond our sullying.

Handy people will always make it. There is this guy where I live who can fix everything: microwave, washing machines, ceiling fans, cars, carpentry, just about everything...once he fixed the tail of my truck by melting a plastic fork and it is still holding it's been five years ..people always call him and give him what they can, but he doesn't mind, even if it is a plate of food. He's on his way to be 70 and he is very healthy. I guess that when you are good to people somehow you get your reward.

Unless you are getting an Engineering Degree or Med Degree college is a waste . I graduated with an Engineering Degree with no loans. Took me 5 years but I funded my way thru college . I worked 6 years before going to college and continued working in college and never had student loans or anything. Lived in my car for a year in College and used the Gym to shower etc. Todays kids are being pampered and spoils. Fuck the classical studies degree and crap. WTF are you going to do. No wonder Indians and Chinese have taken over the Engineering world. Have you seen the Tech Industry?

Working with Indians for the past 10 years and very few are actually good. Chinese are a different story. From my experience, India mass produces tech workers, like how Bernank prints money. And they do that work not because they like it but because it pays well == FAIL.

What I've seen over the years they did because of negligence and lack of interest (or clue) is beyond the scope of this forum.

Proverbs 22:7 - The rich shall rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender

To enslave a generation, just convince them that they need debt to survive ... Apparently Yale teaches this

Don't go to college. Stay free from debt you cannot Discharge.

The savings alone will give you a bright future, not a enslaved one.

Take it from two people who know.

Learn a proper and useful trade. Dont rot in a classroom listening to 60 year old has beens who has forgotten half the stuff they are teaching.

Yes, spending big $ on college may be ill advised now.  For instance:  lots of young US grads in Shanghai these days in search of opportunity.  In fact, the locals here are using young white kids to hand out flyers in the train stations now to attract attention.  Great marketing and a serious sign of the times.

One of the shames about Perry vapor locking himself out of the primary was his attitude and moves on the education loan racket.  He was/is pushing for the $10,000 dollar undergraduate degree, using the Western Governors program.  The lords of UT fought him on this but they have taken a lot of heat in this economy.  Most of the money doesn't really go to facilities or proffs but to administrative overhead to make sure all the i's are crossed and the t's dotted for the paperwork for federal money and diversity departments.  Doing undergrad study at the big name schools have become a real mugs game. More and more people go to Junior Colleges, then to the cheapest state college they can find. Then if they really feel the desire for a graduate degree they might frog into a name brand schools graduate program. Since universities get more money for grad students they get treated a little better.

By the looks of that graph, now would be one of the absolute worst times to start investing in gold. If you sarted in 2000, that would have been a good investment.

It's relative though. The year 2000 dollar had stronger purchasing power for almost everything at that time so gold looks inexpensive then. Think of it this way, Bernanke Bucks are now so worthless that it requires lots of them to buy a troy oz of gold. Gold is gold. It doesn't change with the passing of time. Just the currencies used in transactions for gold slide up and down (mostly down...hmmm, I wonder what would be a good hedge for currencies going down?)

This chart could also be used to argue that gold is entering its bubble phase. The best times to buy gold were in 1971 and 2000 when gold was severely undervalued and it took lots of gold to pay for Yale tuition. Now we are in a period resembling 1979 when it takes less than 1000 gold grams to pay Yale tuition. Gold's value is as high or higher than it has been at any time in the past 100 years except for the gold bubble in the early 1980's.

Sorry guys, I like gold too. But it isn't anything like the bargain it was a decade ago. If history repeats, it could still double in value but it might not stay at that level for very long.

No it isn't-in fact it's far from it--gold is at about the same level as it was in 1900-measure against 2-CPI levels-

Education was an investment in the not so long ago past. That is to say higher education that required payment for attaining it.

Listening to my Engineering Graduate of this May from Cal State Long Beach and the situation of those he knows and hears about, I think caution is advised before going into debt for an education that may not produce a job. I do not have the job answer, but I know areas that have no answers. No jobs in many, many areas for the new Graduate is the non-answered question. Non payable debt is not the solution.

Right, so my kid born in 1981 and going to school in 1999 would have had a hell of a deal at 8X the cost plus the cost of school price increases. Gold is the answer the nothing except: what is yellow, shiney and makes a great paper weight?

Who control the price of gold? If it is not you, then it is someone else who is not you. How much do you trust that person?

It's ultimately harder to control the price of gold than it is the price of fiat - why do you think fiat exists?

Buy more gold.
