White House Manipulating the Jobs Data? Unpossible...

CrownThomas's picture

ABC is reporting that the White House has told defense contractors to not issue layoff notices until after the election. They even went as far as to offer to pay for any legal fees associated with not giving employees proper notice - pardon, you will pay for any legal fees associated with the administration keeping the unemployment rate artificially low.

Two things:

1. Why aren't we hearing more about this from the mainstream media (rhetorical)?

2. Still think the jobs report yesterday was real?

We don't think so

Jack Welch clearly doesn't think so

And for fun, here is Jack defending his comment to the ever articulate Chris Matthews

So Obama posts a help wanted sign in front of the White House advertising for an accountant. The next day a Harvard educated MBA looking for the job walks into the Oval Office for his interview.

Obama asks, "What's 2 +2"? The young man proudly states "4!" Obama yells "get out of here, you bum!"

The next day a beautiful young woman shows up for the interview confident in her shapley legs and charm. Rahm Emanuel asks, "What's 2 +2"? The young woman confidently states "4". Rahm says "get out of here, you bum!"

The next day an experienced BLS accountant shows up for the interview. Obama asks, "What's 2 +2"? The BLS accountant confidently asks "What do you want it to be?"

Obama grins and yells "you're hired!

but he had a job that paid enough to put him at the top scale for UE benefits in an area where that level of weekly benefits are quite high and he wants to get back to his regular career.  Years ago, before the globalist agenda was really felft in the country, I was out of my regular career for awhile., I had to find 2nd and 3rd shift work in order to be available for interviews for jobs in my usual work, 2nd and 3rd shift work is not easy to come by .... a full-time regular business hours job would be a trap that would be tough to get out of

Keeping "The Great Unwashed" in the dark (or at least in the semi-dark) is a ploy that's as old as the hills. However, "You can't fool ALL of the people ALL of the time" and I believe this is why there's been all the ammunition purchasing going on - the Powers that Be are preparing for a quite realistic worst case scenario.

Depopulation agenda is probably in the final stages of planning, and unless you've got the "right connections" it'll be a case of Bye Bye to a LOT of the population.

Matthews is such a fucking cocksucking sycophant for Obama and the demoncrats that it defies description. He hammered Welch determined to get him to retract the charge of manipulation by the Obama Chicago gang, like some petulant metrosexual whiner, and Welch hit him with facts and good old horse sense born of years of experience in the private sector showing the obvious impossibility of the BLS numbers. Matthews the whore of the left would have none of it. Fuck you Chris. This economy is dead. Anyone who can read and see and hear and has been out and around can see it: no one is hiring, no one is expanding, no one is borrowing (except the government), small businesses are dying, consumers are dying, workers are either getting laid off or having hours trimmed. We are in a depression. The real GDP is negative 5%. But these scumbags on the MSM will lie to the people with a sick sardonic smile on their faces and tell you that things are about to turn around. Fuck them all. Obama and the rest of the scum in Washington and the owners the Wall Street mafia: they have destroyed free enterprise in America. The nation is being gutted fiscally, financially and spiritually. The capital base of the nation is being destroyed by ZIRP and monetization. This system is beyond repair through peaceful political means as the corruption is too deep, too systemic and to institutionalized to be rooted out. The people of this nation better wake up, turn off the damn TV, get on line and find out what is going one and start fighting back or they will be totally enslaved to the international bankers. Here are some names to get you started: zerohedge, Jim Willie, James Turk, ShadowStats.com and John Williams, Jesse's Cafe Americain, Max Keiser, Mike Hudson, Jim Sinclair. I can go on and on. Never in the history of the world have so many been so ignorant in the face of such a wealth of information free to anyone who would take the time to look at it. It boggles my mind.

Such a bogus argument; "Bush was no good and you didn't assassinate him so you can't talk about Obama who is even worse." WTF? That's the defense of this anti-American scumbag? Do you work for him? Taek a quick review backwards and you will find that many, many, many conservatives and Republicans criticized Bush continually for exhibiting the same behaviors they criticize in Obama. Maybe we should have all voted for Kerry? No, because people recognized that he was even more of a big government spender and liberty-detroyer thant even the hapless Bush. Since when do we use Bush as the metric? Who actually liked Bush? The globalists who kept the Freddie/Fannie ponzi going.

Bush may have run as a conservative, and may have called himself a 'compassionate conservative', but that doesn't mean he was one. Medicare Part D was hardly a conservative program. Bush collaborated with Ted Kennedy on an education bill. Etc. Bush reminded me of a 1960s Democrat, strong on national defense and squishy on domestic issues. Think Scoop Jackson. The only reason I can think of that so many shallow-thinking conservatives liked Bush is that the Left kept attacking him.

I didn't like Daddy Bush either, or Nixon, Ford, George Romney or Nelson Rockefeller, to name just a few non-conservative Republicans.

Continential a great post Salute!  I returned from a conference yesterday and sitting at the table the last night I listened and kept my mouth shut until all the bickering was complete.  I was amazed and sad at the same time to see so called educated individauls spouting one side or the other's rhetoric.  I thought they would start yelling at one another while I tried to eat dinner.  I had enough and started to explain to those sitting at the table they did not even have a fundamental understanding of what was going on.  When I finshed I was amazed that most at the table knew something was wrong with the system but they had not investigated nor used the internet to learn what was actually going on.

When done I did give this site and some other outs so they could learn.  Later in the evening I had an Executive Director come to me and tell me I may not have a job if I did not vote for Obama.  You can present all the facts you like and back them with real sources, but trying to convince a person like the ED is impossible.  They are totally indoctrinated into the fold.  I was amazed to see see how crazy the real world actually is.  Even with the access to the internet most refuse to actually learn anything.

Continential it is not that we have this information available to us, it is people are totally brainwashed.

I have to agree.  All I have see and hear from democratic or republican constituents is the same shit over and over and all the respective 'sides' do is regurgitate the same shit that is broadcast on TV by political pundits of either stripe.

Its the power of divisive politics at work, distract everyone with emotion laden talking points so ppl don't pay attention to what is important.  What I find remarkable is how trade policy is never mentioned regarding employment.  So much shit from China that we don't need them for but ppl who don't have to work in the real world but play only in the financial world (stocks, unexportable professions, etc) rail on ppl like me about 'protectionism' but that isn't me but the ad hominen attacks are surreal.  Companies are free to go to anywhere they wish as far as I am concerned but only to grow in the domestic economies of the nations they go to, not free to cripple the US workforce for what will eventually be known as a short-term profit paradigm that implodes

Major problems with serious psychological denial, the 7 great delusions, intense desire for affirmation as opposed to information....
In many cases folks are exceedingly uncomfortable with framed conceptions and biases being challenged.
Let alone the brainwashing/conditioning

Brainwashing:  Look at the popular roster of drama on the telly... overloaded with cop/spy/military types enforcing the good laws of the land.  Messages being 1.) don't fight us we're far too powerful and omnipotent 2.) we're from the gubamnit and are saving you....
Next to wit: the number of programs with individuals of "prejudice"... many gay, lesbian, etc. (none of which I care one way or the other about, BTW).  Enforcing the politically correct diktat.
Same as the left press accusing everyone who is not a leftie supporter of being racist
The very nature of "political correctness".... whose politics set the temper, the agenda, the manifestation of right and wrong?
Why the fuck is political correctness even accepted, even brought to bear in a permissive tolerant society?
... it's censorship!!!!!!

It's seriously fucked up....

The progressive left has not, in my lifetime, been tolerant of opposing positions. Back in the 1960s there was the leftist Free Speech movement, demanding free speech for all - unless, of course, one wanted to say something with which they disagreed, in which case they attempted to shout you down. That, incidentally, still goes on to this day, as witnessed by the antics whenever a 'controversial' conservative is invited to speak on a college campus. Likewise, the rallying cry of 'what right have you to try imposing your morality on me' another favorite of the collegiate left from back then has been transmogrified into 'do as I tell you' now that those idiots have gotten into positions of power. Political correctness, global warming BS, Michelle's food dictates (Bloomberg's, too) are all examples of the left knowing what's best for us, knowing how we should speak and think, etc.

A permissive, tolerant society is a pipe dream as long as despots, both large and small, crave power and are ruthless enough to pursue it no matter the cost.

Back in the late 70's we bond weenies were openly skeptical of many data series coming out of DC, including price levels, employment and the like around "sensitive times" such as elections.
I don't really think that the "it is being done" has changed but that the magnitude and arrogance to not even subtly hide what is going on has certainly taken a massive turn for the worse....

Which is not surprising given the demonstrable deterioration of ethical behavior and lack of an equal application of the rule of law over the last 10 to 20 years.

Regardless of which party has the Presidency and Congress, the BLS and the rest of the federal bureaucracy is populated by civil service liberals who only nominally work for the Presidential appointee senior managers.  They are the " We Be's", as in "We Be here when they got here, and We Be here when they are gone".  So despite what the President and Congress might direct, they have and follow their own - very liberal - agenda.  The BLS civil service careerists are foaming at the mouth in love with Obama and all other liberals.  Their primary gripe is they are not liberal enough.  Certainly will do whatever they want to get him re-elected. Cooking the unemployment and inflation numbers takes a bit of creativity, but is no big deal.  Why is anyone remotely surprised ??

If you believe Romney will eliminate any government jobs, and you know the government job you have is way cushy, and you know that finding another job in the open market will be tough (especially given your current job qualifies you for virtually nothing) Why wouldn't you do everything in your power to  stop him? In a world that justifies lying, as the ends always justify the means, this is nothing at all. The world is driven by perceived self interest, and anything we have to tell ourselves to get there is "justified".

Who needs voter fraud when you can control the way machined COUNT the votes?

Funny how THAT issue has not been addressed.  Diebold and other electronic machines can and have been rigged (Bush 04 had wholesale examples in key swing states - limke NM wher machines on Indian reservations had NOP votes for President recorded and Ohio where exit polls had a VERY different outcime thatn the votes recorded...   about Roe's 'math' - in 06 they didn't steal ENOUGH, underestimated hopw po'd people were.... allowing Dems to take the House).

Never mind the voter SUPPRESSION - on a wholesale basis under Bush - a far larger number thanany supposed fraud (and by the way it was REPUBLICANS caught faking voter registration in Florida).

But again, this is all part of the fake duopoly - giving the ILLUSION that there's a real choice.  BOTH parties pander to those with $$ and serve TPTB.
