one or two of you may recall that i hinted at a willingness to spill the beans regarding some of alabama's leading citizens. your data-points and mike krieger's eyes wide shut/strauss-kahn piece brought to mind the saga of one Troy King.
my son is now safely on a plane and headed back to boston; so i can commence with this, the first installment of my "portraits of perfidy":
troy king first started making hay back in his days at the university of alabama's law school. he was recruited early for work in the field of divisive and duplicitious politics because he was a highly-conflicted and wildly insecure homosexual (and still is). some of you may be surprised to learn that, in the late 80's early 90's, a concerted effort was mobilized to enlist conservative-minded homosexuals (read: neocons) to wage a jihad against 'the homosexual agenda' (read: another means to foster hatred, mistrust and further atomize our already splintered society...had to do something to combat the horrors of growing racial amity). you probably shouldn't believe me -- senators don't toe-tap in airports for annonymous sodomy...they just don't do such things.

anyway, back to attorney general (former, that is) troy king. christian-conservative, flag-wavin, war-loving, cock-suckin american; the republican ideal. when he wasn't sorting torts and practicing his 'motions', he wrote for the crimson and white (bama's university paper); and his writing consisted, almost exclusively, of vitriol aimed at evil-homosexuals and their plot to convert all of your children into salavating same-sex sociopaths. he gaind certain noteriety for his efforts.
fast forward to his final days in office...i don't care to write a comprehensive bio -- just want to give you a sense of what greases the gears of your republican-machine (that was the sickest joke i'll ever post). but before i procede, i have to confess that i hate to pick on troy king...they are all, and i repeat ALL, ever-so blackmailable. they wouldn't be in office otherwise. believe what you want; 'your' representative or local-fucknuts is just golden...it's the guy from other district in the 'other' state that's depraved and craven.
right, so, the great irony here is that troy king was taken down because he tried to do the right thing. he took on an oil company over drilling lease payments; and then he tried to stand up to BP and their unconsionable fouling of the gulf, and, well...that's all she wrote.
troy king had an 'assistant'...can't recall his name of the top of my head; but the really amusing thing about this, and the element that adds a bit of aesthetic symmetry to the hilarity of it all, is the fact that his 'assistant' was homecomming 'king' at 'troy' university. can't make this stuff up, ZHealots. now, the naive 'voters' out there may have assumed that the chief of staff (that was his bitch's title) of an attorney general would need some -- even the most tenuous -- experience in law. short of that, possibly some time spent among alabama's power levers...how to work with local AGs across the state. okay, we'll settle for a law enforcement background. nope...this lil bitch was straight outta troy university -- the proud recipient of a business managment degree (or some other wasteful and irrelvant major like that).
troy thought he had the house all to himself; paige was supposed to be gone for a few more days; but, wouldn't you know it, paige (his wife) returned home early and 'unexpectedly' to find troy king practicing unholy carnality with troy university's homecomming king.
tptb in bama offered him a choice: go quietly into that good night; or imperil any future prospects of even practicing law in alabama. he choose former. he currently advertises on this program (which, for those among you with a sophisticated sense humor, will be the most guffaw-inducing experience of your recent past), and recruits clients from among it's audience:

life has been tough enough on troy king...i guess i can end with that. but troy king is typical. they are all just one assertion of autonomous will...just one word spoken out of turn...just one flinch at fullfilling their oath of office from total and complete annhilation of everything they've devoted their entire lives to. so, to those of you who think conspiracies cannot be maintained among a large group, i kink my eyebrow at you in a dismissive and condescending fashion (try to imagine it...a janus eyebrow kink can wither even the stoutest of countenance). ignore LIBOR for a moment, just look at the charecter of your politicans. ALL of them. they are governed by fears from all sides. they all MUST keep secrets, because explosive secrets are being kept about them. it's symbiotic.
