Clean-shaven males had to wear a uniform of Abercrombie polo shirts, boxer briefs, flip-flops and a “spritz” of the retailer’s cologne, according to an “Aircraft Standards” manual, disclosed in an age-discrimination lawsuit brought by a former pilot. Among the 40-plus pages of detailed instructions: black gloves had to be used when handling silverware and white gloves to lay the table, the song “Take Me Home” had to be played when passengers entered the cabin on return flights and Jeffries’s dogs -- identified in the document as Ruby, Trouble and Sammy -- had different seating arrangements based on which ones were traveling.
These hi tech companies come and they go...all of them eventually get knocked out by a new piece of technology that comes from a new company no one has heard of until it hits the scene.
I re-call when Fairchild was a top SV co., ditto Varian, Perkin-Elmer, National Semi, and Monolithic Memories....many more.
Goog and AAPL are just the current stars and this may be their Zenith (if you even have heard of that co.).
Google and Apple are todays stars. But they are not the same and they got to where they are via two very different routes.
One thing worth mentioning is the amount of resource directed at customer care. Apple spends an enormous amount on this. Google just uses robots. This sounds insignificant, but it is a big difference in culture, particularly when you are selling things other than Adwords.
don't give Reggie much longer than Leo now topping himself ...oh the shame... we'll bury him with his trumpet and fiery sword of truth, which wasn't seeing much daylight shone on it anyway
Google sucks. News alert! APMEX now selling bullion at a brand new eBay site. Prices updated every 10 seconds to keep pace with bullion spot pricing. I've checked it out and shipping seems to be $4.95 (plus $0.25 each additional item) for any order. Now you can get 1 silver/gold ounce or a zillion. Good news for those who are just getting started or want to add to the stash incrementally. I'd suggest not taking any of your new bullion boating. Seems to be a rash of boating accident PM losses lately.
On Tuesday, August 23, 1988, a 26-year-old man was killed after falling from the Cyclone roller coaster. Apparently, the man eluded the safety bar and was seen standing up as the train began its descent down the first hill. The man, who was employed as a maintenance worker, was the only passenger at the time, riding in the back seat of the train during his lunch break. He fell 30 feet and landed on a crossbeam of a lower section of track. He was killed instantly. The ride was closed following the incident, but was reopened a day later after safety inspectors concluded that the ride was safe.
Nice subtle needling, Reggie's name there in the upper right corner of WB's art just above
Reggie Middleton's support for the CIA's Google Inc., is especially shocking, given Google's leading role in helping to jail tens of thousands of innocent American black people, as Reggie well knows ...
Google's management directly censors websites to assist American bribed judges ... GOOG blocks material that could free innocent blacks and others from the US prison gulag ... Google censors the US 'Liberty Movement'
Articles on US court corruption often censored by the CIA's Google - Goog usually 'erasing' all the websites of a US dissident, who barely got out of the US alive
I don't think Reggie is supporting the politics of google per se.
He has been silent on the political dimension and focuss on the results as he sees them.
However, he has staked his reputation on the Apple/Google mega brawl, to the point of sacrificing objectivity from the perspective of his audience.
His call.
Others who are actually in the tech business, who are not aligned with APPL, are calling the Motorola Android move a fiasco and wondering how long if ever, it will take for Google to sever the umbilical cord from its search revenue model.
I don't bother with Wall Street analyst views on the subject. It is a waste of time. And yes, Google is evil, although these days that is a hollow term.
One thing is certain, Reggie is at his computer typing away this very moment and I can't wait to read what he says.
It's my limited and possibly incorrect understanding that the primary reason for acquiring the Motorola cellular business was to get the patents, IP, etc. I speculate that could be for any eventual more direct patent battle with Apple instead of the proxy battle via the likes of Samsung.
Moto probably has the best power management - battery life - of any smartphone. In a recent Wired article Google was implored to "unleash" Android on a Moto platform - to free Android from the limitations carriers place on it with bloatware, etc. I dunno...over my head.
As an aside the Motorola "radio" folks are thriving as Motorola Solutions a separate non Google company that licences the Motorola name, logo, etc from Google which owns them.

The frame is made out of wood and makes a huge rickety racket. Roller coaster afficionados consider it a must ride experience.
Here is a picture I took at the Mermaid parade with it in the background. And yes the Mermaid parade is in my Flickr stream and is worth the effort.
My friend she is one hot mermaid but she got five tampons stuck in her hair. Gross.
FAG
We've got one for sale: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/business/fl-dania-beach-coaster-20121015-16,...
Wooden roller coaster that is.
But we've got mermaids too: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/17/mermaid-trina-mason-south-flori...
I'll go down with that mermaid. All the way down.
There are many good reasons why I like this photo. ;-)
Nice composition, perspective and interesting color balance. : }
Only art survives.
First prize for best use of fishnet.
I'd give that Mermaid a ride even if it is a rickety old frame!
Second prize for best use of the starfish.
I could go for a swim right about now.. and I trust that paint is water soluable.
Who cares? Go where the pigment takes you!
indeed
Looks like IBM, INTC and uh GOOG forgot to lobby someone.
Looks like Wall Street took off their Google Goggles.
Trading resumes at 3:20. Look for pre-coordinated hedge fund move and the biggest hedge fund (see: Fed) to "help".

Now back to the mermaids.
They underestimated the restructuring costs. That is part of what whacked them today.
Lots of aggravation and pain for a defensive IP move.
Hitler and Dzugashvili were plain amatheurs. GO USA !
