WILE E.COYOTE update:

SP500 head & shoulders formation on daily chart continues.

SP500 weekly chart also shows likely head & shoulders.

DOW monthly chart shows bearish rising wedge.

The current bearish price action comprises the first installment of the very overdue Wile E. Coyote sell off.

As mentioned, the previous SPX meltup - devoid of healthy retracements - has caused the coming crash.

One can only stretch the bungee cord so far before it reacts...

"Europe This Way"

Now that's just not 'fair' Banzai, not that fairness is an argument or ever be a goal in itself.

The US is doing very well on the suicidel finance all on its lonesome (see California or the most seriously funny/worrying saga to date, the Congress/Senate rigamortis, the President hiding on the Golf course like the true leader he is in a crisis and then the 'extra time' Super Committee complete flop on its face ...democracy, you really can't beat it from any angle ....a farce that hasn't stopped in 2,000 years).

And can I point out it was an American Bank, Goldman Sucks (who else?), that got the biggest basket case, Greece, into the EU by cooking their books (no GS Exec interviewed, cuffed or jailed yet for fraud and breaking EU Rules of Entry, ho hum)

Ok so Euro Govts and Banks have got themselves into a right mire. But credit to Wall Streeters for magnifying the risks by cooking so many derivatives on top of that debt. If you want a house of cards New Yorks 'the best brains in America' are doing Gods work delivering it

Financial suicide must be a mass participation sport in politics and banking as it happens so regularly through history....the genetics of lemmings?

Can we rid ourselves of them this time around? Will we (finally) be the smart generation, the ones that take the prize for sorting this out once and for all. Banzai you're a wise thoughtful (and ultra-creative) man as i've come to understand you, can we do it?

We are in a brief interlude of popular hope fueled by statistical legerdemain. The job numbers crawl upward but the only corporate announcements I see are mass layoffs.

When it all drops there will be hell to pay.

"Hell to Pay" indeed B ....the politicos have slipped the people a buck pass of a hellishly big bill for bankers gambling debts as well as a credit card bill for the feeding frenzy of Jabba the Huts in Govt stretching out to 30 years ...not many happy families getting invoiced for others gambling and junk food binging habits in the easy-money era having to be repaid in a time of "moneys too hard to mention"

Stop Paying Tax ...don't pay their bills

soz, had to get my 'No Tax' motto in once today ...it's a motto on a mighty theme though B as it was a Tax Revolt, the Boston Tea Party, that temporarily gave America her freedom from the extortion racket that is Govt. It was a Tax Revolt against the hiking of taxes on the monopoly supply the British Govt enforced on tea into America.... Freedom from Govt's parasitical taxes and monopolists... for a time at least, before you grew your own Govt

so Tax Revolts have an honourable tradition in the US

Is it a fiscal cliff from which we will pick ourselves up and climb up once again, or will it be a big black hole that will suck us in and from which we will never come out of or be seen again?

If we start producing the shale oil we have in abundance out west and in Tejas before 2016, it could bring in enough to the gubmit coffers for Frank Marshal Davis, Jr. to buy himself a third and 4th term. Remember.....people can be persuaded the messiah is above the law.......

Exactly what I have been saying!

TX, OK, LA, AR have oil and gas. ND has oil. All the fucking pipelines run run right through this part of the country. Tie this stretch of real estate together with the southern US and you have Agriculture, Energy, Transport (rivers, trains, roads to Canada, Mexico, the Gulf and all points beyond). And what may be the best "asset" of these fly-over and southern states is that they are home to most of the military bases...

Secession anyone?

but it all seems to eminate from usa monetary policy. energy usage and the military regime to keep it in check.

something is gonna give and me thinking it will start over black gold. once iran says the final fuck you and russia says fuck you we got a situation with no way out but ww3 with china with the ultimate 2 trillion dollar bonds dump at their disposal.

Further on Europe and the German study on France's economics (courtesy of Scott - East Anglia):

What European war?  That was what the war neurotics who started the EU wanted to stop.

Then I remembered this lot.

"The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved."

Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out.

Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to a "Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588 when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

It's not only the French who are on a heightened level of alert: Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans also increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose".

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual, and the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels .

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Americans meanwhile and as usual are carrying out pre-emptive strikes on all of their allies 'just in case'.

Canada doesn't have any alert levels.

And in the southern hemisphere:

New Zealand has also raised its security levels - from "baaa" to "BAAAA". Due to continuing defence cutbacks (the airforce being a squadron of spotty teenagers flying paper aeroplanes and the navy some toy boats in the Prime Minister's bath), New Zealand only has one more level of escalation, which is "I hope Australia will come and rescue us".

Australia , meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be al'right, mate". Three more escalation levels remain: "Crikey!”,"I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend" and "The barbie is cancelled". So far no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level."

" subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy"

that pinpoints it's a British (history) joke. Very cruel, terribly funny though old boy

"Americans ...are carrying out pre-emptive strikes ...'just in case'.

Very funny, true, sad... whatta cocktail you make!

""The English... have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved."

Very English, but if only!  ...we've been on "hysterical" since Blair started lying like a lawyer, which he is, and 'sexing-up' near-zero security threats like a politician

we could do with some English reserve and dry, sarcastic cynicism ..it beats the Blair-Brown-Cameron 'sexed-up' spending on delusions we're at war with anyone..  it's not defence of nation, we're making up both the threats and the war (see King Richards similar fantasies tilting at windmills in the Middle East)

actually THEY think they're following Europe, which isn't the worst situation. if THEY think they're following Europe, but they end up in JAPAN it's going to be an unhappy landing. Japanese deflation, Japanese disasters (had one last week) with China looming a regional threat to sovereignty, and angry monsters rising up from the GOM. Europe is a cakewalk compared to the US going through Japanese deflation.

All hell broke loose when when, in 2008, the 800 billion dollar front scam for the 16 trillion dollar ass cover for TPTB and their criminality was launched to FINALLY BURY THE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC by the oil/banking oligarchy. Since then, it has been IN YOUR FACE papering over of the UNPRODUCTIVITY of the 1% scams and schemes and the high speed paupering of the rest of the USA.

What is coming apart NOW is the PR, fake happy CPI numbers and fake happy (as in much lower than actual) unemployment numbers. And making weapons for unproductive activity like wars, not only speeds the demise of such an unproductive economy, it helps mask that unproductivity by claiming weapons manufacture increases GDP. The SHRINKING GDP of the last 4 years (the trend to this insanity started with the 911 swag for made up "security", i.e. police state corporate swag and Iraq war profiteering corporate swag) has been hidden from the IDIOTS that do much of the investing in the world.

They are getting a rather rude awakening now.  GOOD!

The reality based community has never been in competition with the con artists. We just watch them do their cruel, calloused, calculating and STUPID "thing" and wait for them to go belly up. It always happens. It just takes a while.

Economics lesson for the propagandized fools that are waking up: ONLY products that help people to LIVE improve economies. Products that KILL PEOPLE also KILL MARKETS!

Bugs, bears and fish, among other various and assorted earthlings, do not, and never will, buy stuff; only PEOPLE BUY STUFF, PERIOD. Ruin people's lives and the ENVIRONMENT that provides life for them and the rest of the biosphere and you are, not just going against every sound economic principle there is, you are committing suicide and dooming your rich friends and relatives to die in a bunker drinking champagne and breathing filtered air while they watch Karl Rove re-runs of pontifications on the "silliness" of the reality based community.

It's gone WAY BEYOND GREED now. The warped fuckers that got us here are the equivalent of stage IV colorectal cancer for planet Earth.
