Obama WANTS to drive over the cliff

Obama wants to drive over the cliff.

America is awash with hope that our newly re-crowned King will come towards the center and avoid the dreaded ‘Sequestration.’

That term is spoken of as if it is toxic. People seem to forget that it was deemed the solution to the debt ceiling negotiations during the summer of 2011. Those opposing its imposition now are the same ones who passed it in the first place.

clip image002 Obama wants to drive over the cliff

But I digress. Here is why our leader has no desire to settle this affair before it gets put into effect.

  • It will impose tax hikes on everyone who pays federal income taxes (not just the 2%)
  • It will cut entitlements without his having to support the actions
  • It will reduce defense spending without him ‘looking soft’ as Commander-in-Chief
  • It will end the ‘Bush Tax Cuts’ automatically
  • It will probably slow economic growth (GDP)

Why would our President want these things to take place?

  • He would get the extra tax revenues to use without being blamed
  • He could not be held accountable for breaking his ubiquitous pledge to never raise taxes on the bottom 98%
  • He would not be the one cutting entitlements, it would be ‘out of his hands’
  • He prefers to cut defense spending rather than social programs
  • He can later ‘give back’ tax cuts to the Middle Class
  • He can then call them the ‘Obama Tax Cuts’
  • He can blame those damn ‘Obstructionist Republicans’ for the next recession

For B-Rock the Sequestration is a ‘Dream Act’ to accomplish many of his goals and dreams without any accountability. Every negative can be blamed on the Republicans even as he allows his stated preferences to be overridden by the forced actions imposed on him.

We haven’t seen political agility this devious since Bill Clinton asked everyone what the meaning of ‘is’ is.

Police Chief Aloysius: [to Captain Culpeper] It's no. The answer is no. He won't back any increase in pensions. He won't even talk about it. And there won't be any increase in pensions. And do you know why? Because they got a solid majority of both Republicans and Democrats who've agreed that if anything is said about pensions, they'll actually reduce your pension!

.

Smart son of a bitch that Chief Aloysius. That shit was from 1963, the more it changes the more it stays the same.

Anarchy..there is an idea.  That requires an educated populace, something the US Constitution embraced; but I know you were being sarcastic.  Vidar, there is another alternative.  Instead of consumer sheep gathered in high population areas perhaps some of the 'green' and'sustainable' ideas put forth by condo dwellers (or the more off center low income 'condos') would be better served if those individuals actually went out into the fields and got their hands dirty.  Produced food.  Produced something.  I was raised on a farm.  I was indoctrinated on a work ethic that required sacrificing personal comfort to the alter of family subsistance.  In today's age waiting for less than a 4g connection or three people in line in front of you is an affront to our sensibilities.  Wake up.  What are the real priorities of life?  Cell phones or food?  Television or water?  Our way of life is upside down.  Kardashians are paid millions for being assholes.  People think preparing for hard times value a generator over food and water purification.  WE ARE STILL HUMAN ANIMALS!  If your government can provide 100% of your needs, then it can take everything from you.  Back to your stall.

In my ignorance i had to Google Wendell Berry.  In my thirty minute research i can say i can identify with Mr. Berry and his reported philosophy. Edit..It only took five minutes to read the brief introduction to Mr. Berry.  I had to take a breather.. after the twenty five minutes to walk around and be outraged at my original comment...just being honest.  But the math still doesn't work out...damn Jack D..

Count me in with your thanks to Seer, joe; Berry is a treasure trove of delight and priceless gems...

When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”

I see your 40% and raise another 10%.... If only we peons could get our hands on the budget.  While I am dreaming...I wish that the congress, senate, judicial, and executive had to work as hard as the declining working middle class they pay lip service to.  Oh, but the decisions they make are so important...ya..a 15 year old with Econ 101 can simplify the process for them.  Too bad we don't teach econ in school anymore.  Parasites like to overcomplicate the situation to solidify their position or obscure facts and make their removal more difficult.  When is the last time you used calculus in balancing your checkbook?  If you did when did that work out for you...?  Dimon, Diamond, and Corzine are excused from class.  Oh, and mister geithner can file his taxes without higher math as well.

If this is actually true, that Obama WANTS to drive over the so-called fiscal cliff, then I'm relieved that he won re-election.

My take has been we have no hope if either Obama or Romney is elected, because they're crazy, war-mongering, gun-hating, welfare-loving lunatics.  Vive Ron Paul.

And I don't believe for a second Romney would let the fiscal cliff occur.  He'd compromise at any cost.  If we CAN heave-ho over the guard rail, it will be the first step towards fiscal SANITY in over a decade.

We need to slash spending--entitlements and defense alike.  We need to quit meddling with the tax code and let reckless cuts expire. We need AUTOMATIC implosion of the Federal Government, AUTOMATIC balance of the budget.

i agree...but for a different more explicit reason: the Fed keeps monetizing the debt. In short "there is no fiscal cliff" just budgetary authority shot to hell...which is the PRESIDENT'S prerogative...not Congress's. So he wishes to do away with all spending priorities and go "pay as you go" works for me. "Your number one priority is a pay off the debt. ALL OF IT. RIGHT NOW. FOR EVERYONE" I expect a big surge in the value of equities going into the end of the year...three years of momentum will do that...followed by, if nothing is done (i.e. "we go off the cliff), 20 percent price increases on all finished goods at store shelves starting in January. "Call it a downpayment Federal Government" as should the Government decide "doing nothing is always the best option" further 20% price increases until the recession hits. "Then we'll negotiate." You know..."the one's who rigged the election so you all could do whatever it is you do...

Fed monitizes = inflation.

"Fiscal Cliff" = immediate spending limitations and increased taxes.

These two concepts work against eachother.  If fiscal cliff, then less monitization is required.  Ben is happy, BHO is happy, we eat the shit sandwich.

Avert the cliff...both parties are happy, can is kicked, debt is monetized...we eat a huge shit sandwich later.

That's the Cliff's notes of the article, but the opening of the whole "if the gov can't make shit happen with a wide open wallet, then what happens with a wallet that seems (sarc) closed."

Good, Fast, Cheap. Pick two.  This is the Contractor's rule.  Remember that when you want to add onto the garage or deal with a pollitician.

Just wonder sometimes why people still react like I'm crazy when I mention chemtrails being a product of geo-engineering that's been done for decades (aka one form being cloud seeding for rain, etc) and in major agricultural schools (family member attending) are openly read about... chemtrails, chemical spraying, weather control, etc.

Churches from the founding of this country have played an important part in community and national life and the Founders believed that they were a positive influence in the country and should not be taxed. And politicians since have felt the same way. But a bigger question is why a myriad of groups whose primary purpose is to attack religious groups and our founding principles also are given tax exempt status.

A prime example is the church of intolerance, Morris Dees’ Jewish Southern Poverty Law Center, tax exempt for its unprovoked attacks on "Hate Groups" it self-proclaims ranging from Focus on the Family (a “quintessential hate group”) to “freedom keepers…who despise the Fed.”

In the “Intelligence Report” of its Spring 2010 issue is an article entitled "In its Midwifing the Militias: Jekyll Island Gathering Recalls Another” that featured among its speakers Fed historian G. Edward Griffin, SPLC’s “Intelligence Project Director” wrote:

“In 1910, prominent bankers and government officials convened a secret meeting on a stunning South Georgia key known as Jekyll Island. Gathering at a place that was once a haven for French privateers and, later, a playground for the rich of the Gilded Age, the group devised the plans that would result, three years later, in the creation of the Federal Reserve System, America's central bank.

“Almost exactly a century later, in May 2009, some 30 ‘freedom keepers’— men who, like most members of the radical right, despise the Fed and see it as part of a plot to exploit American citizens — came together at the scene of the ‘crime’ to wash away its sins. Meeting in the Federal Reserve Room of the luxurious Jekyll Island Club, they held an elaborate ceremony meant to symbolically ‘supplant the secretive deliberations’ of 1910. Hoisted over the club as they met was the Gadsden Flag, with its coiled snake and cantankerous slogan, ‘Don't Tread on Me.’…

G. Edward Griffin, who helped organize the Jekyll Island gathering, may have been more revealing. Griffin, who wrote a scathing 1994 attack on the Fed* published by the anti-communist John Birch Society and also a sympathetic biography of the group's founder, was the first to speak at the meeting. He told conferees that merely putting ‘large numbers of people in the street’ was not enough.

"’We must," he said, "achieve power.’"

*The name of the "scathing 1994 attack" was Griffin's best seller worldwide: "The Creature From Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve."

Churches are tax exempt because a 501c3 organization is subject to government oversight. In other words, such a church has limits on what kinds of political statements it can make and is ultimately and arm of the state. Remember, there is a religious front to the New World Order as well as political and economic. Public opinion can be manipulated in these large gatherings. Some Christians who refuse to attend a 501c3 church (myself included) speculate that they may one day be used as a sort of worship center for the Man of Sin. A cursory study of the Luciferian elites' endgame reveals that preparation is, indeed being made for such a day.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Case in point is this media hit piece on Ron Paul by Mort Zuckerman’s  US News and World Report, emblazoned: RON PAUL ONE OF THE MOST CORRUPT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS, REPORT FINDS, written by Elizabeth Flock on September 12, 2012.

It begins: “Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul has been named one of the most corrupt members of Congress in a new report from the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

“The report says Paul ‘double-billed’ his travel expenses a number of times over the last decade, meaning he may have been reimbursed for the same flights both under his official allowance as congressman, and by either non-profit groups under his control or his campaign committee.”

And get this: it was a period of more than 10 years, allegedly involving airplane tickets to the grand total of $15,000 - all the while Paul was annually returning more than $100,000 from his congressional office funds to the US Treasury and declining his congressional pension.

That’s the new low in “news” reporting by today’s minions in our banker-controlled “free press."

Flock did, however, manage to squeeze this item in near the bottom: “Jesse Benton denied the congressman was reimbursed multiple times for the same trips, saying ‘absolutely zero taxpayer funds were ever misused.’  Benton also said it was ‘possible that wholly inadvertent errors were made in a handful of instances….’”

 Well, duh!

Never mind that Elizabeth Flock’s drug store opinions (she “hopes she was an Indian in a past life”) originated in her former life at the Washington Post.

BTW,  Dr. Paul Price presents a powerful perspective. This article viewed from my sources is unique and of extreme significance; I look forward to more (I hope?). Thanks!

I actually agree in part, he does want to to gut the military, and with his media companions he easily can lay this all at the Repubs feet putting them into that much more disarray and in the process set up Michelle O for 2016.  If the Repubs had any brains they would put up a small fight and then strip down, bendover and give Obama whatever he wants.   They can then sit back and watch the whole thing fall apart just in time for Marco 2016 to come to the rescue.

The notion of a '2016' election is an absurdity, and more evidence that Merikans have simply lost the ability to read which way the wind blows...

If someone had walked up to you in 2001 and told you that in less than 10 years an Alinsky-trained Chicago 'organizer' with a stolen SS number and a troubling inabililty to produce a real birth certificate, a biracial alien born product of the coupling of a CIA operative mother and a hard core Marxist father would be POTUS, imagine your reaction. SCI-FI Loonytunes.

If this person then told you that Merikans watched in slack-jawed apathy for four foul years as this Manchurian Candidate disassembled pretty much every piece of constitutional furniture that had been left unpillaged by the Rhodes Scholar and Stumblebum Jr., and then voted for his return to finish the [hatchet]job, there is no doubt that you would have assumed them an escapee from the asylum...

Well, it's all coming together nicely, and soon enough, anyone's thoughts of escaping from the big asylum America has become will be truncated by the harsh reality that dawns when you realize all that fencing wasn't put in place to keep people out, rather it's there to keep y'all in, till the Big Circle K Ranch n Abatoir can get fully operational. You thought it was all a joke, or maybe a bad B movie...
