cia, central intelligence, accepts the
resignation of their leader because he
states he is unable to lead due to a total
lack of intelligence regarding his personal
affairs, they should reject his resignation on
those grounds. central intelligence has no intelligence
whatsoever regarding their influence in the world at
large anyway, seems like a match made on earth if
not in heaven and we are on earth, as they say.
but one thing that is striking or glaring, how
could anyone, even the head of central intelligence, engage in a extramarital sexual relationship with a married woman with children
who also happens to be his biographer? that
seems to be a sphere of ignorance or lack of intelligence well beyond the usual; good man i say.
at least he wasn't a banker intelligence creep,
that probably has something to do with the latest
developments, along with the supplying the terrorists
we love in secret with weapons to kill our own for the
bankers-sters. it must be a tangled web thing,
come undone.
it always comes back to this;
in a right handed world, to be in your right mind,
you must be irrational. so it goes ...

@"we're not intelligence"
they operate on a fractional reserve pay grade,
we don't, there a difference with a distinction
me thinks. there is nothing above our pay grade
cause we don't belong or have one, perhaps?
there the parameters of the scope or domain of discussion
. "intelligence" conforms to the primary and central idiocy paradigm, sane and "irrational" people do not.
as in "the origin of consciousness in the breakdown
of the bicameral mind", as has been said. "intelligence"
has failed to "breakdown" and therefore has failed to
take the first step which is to become "conscious".

Hell no. They're just going to add three more chapters to the bio now and market it as a romance novel. Every literary agent in the country is trying to get a piece of that action.

She's rich, and that's before she even starts negotiating the movie rights.

What a country.

this all smells like the Judy Miller WMD scandal. she later went to work in a conservative think tank (where she was the girl who gets dunked I guess) just looking at Betrayus, (how could you? I mean really how could you?)

i would say he fell on his Viagra for King Potus. Its all a sad joke to cover up some minor embarrassment in Benghazi, what with the Fiscal Cliff Showdown coming. (I think there must be an image there, Jimmy Fiscal Cliff, The Harder They Fall) We (Clinton) lost a shot at Bin Laden when the GOP dug in their heels on impeachment. here the terrorists have already done the deed, and Obama is trying to cover it up.

Why doesn't he pull out his bull(shit)horn and walk around ground zero. so much doesn't change, you think someone would run on the issue.

I've often thought that our military is very fond of these skirmishes [wars] in faraway places because it gives the high-ranking officers plenty of opportunities to get away from the wife and kids and then play around.  While in Vietnam, I frequently observed that high-ranking officers often had housekeepers [hootch-mates] that were very young and comely, certainly not menopausal and competent housekeepers.  In defense of the general, is wife is exceedingly frumpy which is often the case with career-army wives - I'm sure she has a nice personality...

He endorsed the idea of military Christianity, whatever that is, it is hypocrisy at a minimum.

However, the real issue is why we allow our media to engage in hero worship instead of inquiring on behalf of the public interest. We know the answer to that.

So he's exiting based on what his pecker told him to do instead of what he actually did or did not do in the performance of his duties. Apparently, he will not have to testify about Libya either.

Nice and neat.

There is not a chance on this earth that his resignation has anything whatsoever to do with broadwell or any other broad.  Of course it is normal that the FBI keeps tabs on the CIA.  Way way more to this, the question is was peckerhead onside with this as a way to duck the Benghazi inquisition or was he outed cause he wasn't going to cover for the admin.  I am guessing the latter so don't be surprised if stories of sheep and shower stalls soon start to emerge.

Petraeus is perhaps thinking he might be dead soon, like a CIA chief before him:

'Who murdered ex CIA Chief William Colby?' - by Zalin Grant

« ... Saturday, April 27, 1996.  William Colby, a former director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, was alone at his weekend house across from Cobb Island, Maryland, 60 miles south of Washington, D.C. ... he was found dead in the water nine days later, it was said that he had gone out paddling his canoe at nightfall and drowned.  ...  I knew William Colby. And I didn’t believe that for one second. »

But for a quite wilder view of Petraeus, from an Irish website favoured by conspiracy connoisseurs ... Tyler D. sez to be sceptical about this site ... but interesting reading anyway:

« President Barack Obama has accelerated the purge of US Military officers involved in a coup against his regime by the “firing in disgrace” of former Four-Star Army General and current Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) David Petraeus ... after his refusal to meet at the White House with Obama this past week, US Federal Forces loyal to the President stopped General Petraeus’ vehicle in DuPont Circle in Washington D.C. yesterday (Friday) morning whereupon a short gun battle ensued ... »

I find it interesting that this man who is in charge of he drone war and has a number of other controversies on his resume, the latest being Bengazi, is crucified for this reason.

All our crack MSM has to say about it is what a tragedy it is, unlike their typical reflex for sexual indiscretions by public servants, which is to drag out and publicize every sordid detail.

I don't care about someone's personal affairs, but this is the CIA and it seems extremely incredible that this happened with the Chief.

" crucified for this reason."

Well, it was a self-inflicted right hand drawing all the attention, imho.

Tangled legal mess to get P. to testify (even in classified setting) since the deniability and deflection will be great.  But he can pass on truthful pointers that can be followed.

And the FBI involvement?  How the flock does that happen?  Petraeus is blindingly smart, he's lived  his life in TS compartments and knows OPSEC in his sleep.  How does the FBI get that authority, oh, Hold-er on to that  thought.  This would be right up Action-Jackson's Chicago back-alley.

They got McCrystal, now Petraeus (moved aside, now after election moved out).

Augustus Caesar would be proud indeed, it has taken more than two years, but "Here We Go!!!"

It's not surprising that the pieces on the board started moving after the election was finished.

But in the case of Mr Petraeus we now know for certain that it is practically impossible to ever hear anything credible about any of the things he was involved with.

Ironically, we always worry about Russians doing the blackmailing, not our own government.
