Dutch Budget Negotiations Fail, Elections Likely
Just a little snippet. Geert Wilders has walked away from the negotiations this afternoon. It may be about a purchasing power reduction of one percent for the lowest income class. This is what the rich fumblers at the CPB have calculated and is considered quite reasonable for them to swallow by some. Of course, the CPB has been wrong on occasion. The SP would like to see elections as quickly as possible, while Samsom of the PvdA would like to see elections sometime in September and his underling Plasterk a debate in the house. Of course it may be that the composition of the Government changes, but would that be legitimate at this point? Updates posted here as I have time to add them. A press conference is planned at 16:15 or 15:15 for you Brits. Press conference doesn't add much of substance. And I love it here when the weather starts doing the talking. It's raining hail like mad.

Hey Under the radar;
Try this;
- The Royals take possession of confiscated Greek property.
- Queen fakes love for Turkey.
- De Jager brings hedge funds under fascist control.
etc
etc
:D
What the fuck is this guy talking about?
I don't understand his rambling posts.
Let me give a clearer situation:
PVV blew up the coalition (of VVD + CDA with PVV support), this means almost certainly a downgrade from AAA to AA(+) by fitch. Definitive on monday when they go to the queen. Reason Geert Wilders gives is he doesn't want the cost for the european 3% dictates to be payed by the elderly.
So the Queen and fitch are going to definitively downgrade NL on Monday? Thanks. I'm sure our investor readers will be interested in this development.
Wasn't our Government blown up already? Did you not see the 100 pictures of Mark Rutte cycling around for the past 7 weeks in the latest teen fashions?
Yes, Wilders was definitely hammering on the cuts to public pensions. He knows who he wants on board first in the next elections. He also criticised Brussels and its demands, though he knew the idea was to comply all along.
just wanted to clarify things more for an international audience
I know and I hope you're doing OK ;) I guess I knew what you meant. But it was also great chance to blurt out some frustrations. Do you think it was Wilder's 'fault' BTW?

The very influential and always worth reading, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard in the UK Telegraph, doing some excellent economic coverage of the Netherlands - and with a picture of Geert Wilders at the top of the article
'Fitch Doubts Dutch AAA ...'

I read him too, and I don't believe I'm brainwashed. I take his comments for what they're worth.
BTW: Besides ZH, I am an avid nakedcapitalism reader. It may not have the cred AEP has, but it suits me just fine.
