This "Bain Cap" thing needs a LOT deeper look. Try following the money here. Who sold, and did they get all the money they were thinking they would get? Who or who's wallet did all that money come out of that Bain got? Why did not the first owners just do what Bain did? Was a business sold, who's parts were worth more the the whole? When one business succeeds, some other must fail (jobs are lots). It's very hard to make brand new jobs. I takes inventing something new, and even then the new will cost the jobs from the old (blacksmith now car tire). Free trade cost American jobs, but made China jobs. It's always about money, then jobs. Right now the one percent, is taking more and more money from the ninety nine percent.
Simplify it, the whole premise that leverage buyout firms are job creators is futile. Particularly during the period he was doing it. The idea is borrow lots of money, buy a cash cow, restructure the work force, spin off non core assets then flip it for a profit. Pure parasitical financial engineering in that form.

It's a non issue WB7. If Mittens indeed gets the nomination to run against O, the second term for O is all but guaranteed. Repubs haven't learned anything from their past mistakes and keep putting up shysters that America can't vote for. GOP is too fragmented and torn to bits and pieces over Romney. The base isn't supporting Romney and the top, well the top has the problem that there aren't enough of them. The top has made sure of that and unless they fudge elections, they can't vote themselves one of their own into power. There's nothing in Romney's persona that has a galvinizing effect on the electorate. He rubs just about everyone the wrong way. Now, if for some reason RP snags the nomination it could get interesting.

I talk to many people, who know people who know people. Practically NONE are in Obama's camp. They don't "like" Romney, for sure, but they would rather have him than Obama.

cory booker is ON television basically ATTACKING Obama by using the word "nauseating". I mean, you'll see that Booker will endorse Obama, but at the end of the day when he is on television bitching on Obama's attack tactics calling them nauseating, it is CODE.....booker is not just trying to cover his ass if Romney wins, he is not 'just' hedging. there is no hedging. when you hedge, you are showing your hand. and your hand is that you are not a loyal trusted politican.
booker is turning on Obama. everyone knows it, and this means that new jersey might vote for Romney. If jersey votes Romeny, this election is a win for Romney.
Personally. I think it's going to be one of those annoying dead even elections like in 2000. I mean who knows, maybe we'll even have another supreme court presidency.
How did GWB get elected 2x? By razor thin margins and some suggested fraud. Karl Rove led a pretty spectacular grass roots campaign in the evangelical circles where most of the votes came from. The religious element played a huge role. Bush barely won against Kerry and that should tell you something.
Unless Obama screws up really badly in the next few months, he's got nothing to worry about. The Dems have cornered the certain electoral market among intellectuals and liberals.
But then again, you may be proven right. After all, people are still falling for cheap and slimey tricks of used car salesmen and get caught in a trap or a bad deal every day. Best recent example would be the Facebook IPO. Better historical example of about 4 years ago ... Obama.
Between Romney and Obama, I would say that Obama is the better salesman and he's got better crowd appeal (rock star image) than Romney.
Obama hasn't even started the campaign yet. Some say he never stopped campaigning but that's a whole 'nother story for another day.
