We Should Not Forget
As Memorial Day approaches, we are reminded that we should not forget.
I had the thrill this morning of seeing the 500 plus motorcyclists who are traveling from Los Angeles to Washington, DC to remind Americans of the sacrifices made by those individuals who served our nation. It is the annual "Run for the Wall". Motorcyclists travel to L.A. and then travel east picking up other riders. They stop at Veterans Hospitals along the way bringing attention for their cause. By the time they made it to Louisville, KY, they had over 500 riders from every state in America, and they expect to pick up more before landing at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in DC this Memorial Day Weekend.
Everyday, we read about how the financial and economic world is crumbling right in front of us. Every now and then it pays to step back and see how we really got here and to see what is really important. Our world may be really messed up, but none of this would have been possible without those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Here are pictures of some great Americans, and go to this link to learn more about the "Run for the Wall".

When and where?
Come on, friend, you are the one bringing up chinese citizenism fantasy and you are lecturing about the wok calling the cooking marmit black.
Most of my comments contain arguments. US citizen comments are a long list of ad hominems. You could build a lecture on rhetorics by sampling the comments on this site.
Suede: The fact that you have recognized the problem and correctly identified the malefactors means that you are way ahead of the pack. Now go forth and spread the word! The more people hear the truth, the more they are interested in Liberty.
Rock on!
That state you blame is an instrument of the oligarchs. The corrupted AND the corrupters must go. Then we can all get together and have a more perfect union.
Wish there were 10,000's more able to ride those bikes with their friends and family.
Praying we don't lose more to military adventurism.
JFK/LBJ's Vietnam War to enrich LBJ even more. He made money on almost every company doing business in SE Asia because Lyndon had ownership shares in most of them. Burn in hell LBJ with McNamara and our m*s*im.
don't forget jf dulles and ike in the list of the condemned. and i think ike was the best we got since i was born (1948).
BRING THEM ALL HOME NOW! The american public cares far more about our loved ones than the psycopathic plutocrats who send our family members off to fight in illegal, unnecessary wars...
The attitude of these psycopathic plutocrats at the top was summed up by none other than Henry Kissenger himself who famously said "Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy." The human beings they use as pawns are our loved ones. End the wars, stop wasting $Trillions of our money and bring them home NOW!
You're spot on "ExploitTheMarket".
Am I supposed to be grateful that some people don't pay attention to what's going on in the world, and volunteer to fight for the interests of the bankster oligarchs, just because they're told it's for the cause of freedom? I didn't buy into that crap back when I was first old enough to enlist, and I teach my children not to believe that shit either. I'm tired of this whole "support the troops" mentality/military fetishism that is so prevalent in this country. It's meant to keep people from questioning the same sort of military imperialism that the Germans used in the 30's and 40's. They falsely believed their military was serving their best interest as well.
Somehow because we're Americans, we're special and a force for righteousness in the world. We have an illusion of freedom and a nice flag to go with it. We waste a Trillion dollars a year on these stupid wars, occupations, and keeping hundreds of overseas military bases operational. How is all that in the best interest of the folks at home? It certainly doesn't bode well for the people living in those occupied countries or for our economy.
Now that the Bill of Rights/Constitution/Rule of Law are almost entirely null and void, what else is there left for the military to defend? Someone obviously hasn't been doing their job. As things stand, I don't trust most of the people in uniform, and would rather rely on the fact that I still have the 2nd amendment (for now), and the willingness to defend my family from enemies foreign and DOMESTIC.

You may have been fortunate enough to have caring parents. You may have been more aware than your peers. GOOD FOR YOU! CONGRATULATIONS ON HAVING BEEN AHEAD OF THE CURVE FOR WHATEVER REASON. There are many 'normal' folk who have not been awakened. Who still hold sixty+ year old values instilling those same into young abandoned children. Curse the welfare system, or race. or whatever. Your plight is insulting if you did not serve. Simply because you have no idea of what ii is like to subvert yourself to death to survive.
You cast a blanket statement on a generation of people who may or may not have been faced with drug dealing or enlistment. Starving or enlistment. A worthless degree or enlistment. The values I learned in the USMC have been invaluable. The anquish I feel for being used by the oligarchs is immeasurable. Smedley Butler wrote "War is a racket" around the turn of the century. I won't pull a personal attack here, though I want to. Those that have seen the worst of human intentions 'over-seas' know more than you will ever will, until it comes home. Then you are the helpless 'person' blown up in your house or killed in the street by some 'contractor'. This will come to haunt you.
I agree with you, "joe6px", and apologize for making too much of a blanketed statement. I do not have spite toward those who serve, though I certainly come across that way. I think there are fortunately some individuals who question the cause (like yourself), some who were drafted, and there once were more noble reasons for enlisting; but what's going on today is absolute MADNESS. We are constantly being reminded of how grateful we should be that these poor souls volunteered to help occupy countries we have no business being in. We are being programmed by the government and MSM to be completely supportive of a policy of fascist imperialism. I sympathize with some of those individuals who currently serve for being duped, or enlisting for financial need, but I do not extend gratitude for "the cause".
Thanks for allowing me to clarify.
This is fight club. Don't be sorry for voicing your mind. Just be willing to back up your reasoning.. To that end crafting a well thought out or witty response is the hallmark of this site. We (you and I) read this site because we see things a certain way. We can see things others cannot , and not belittle those who don't because leadership is not just being a boss. Leadership is guiding those who, for whatever reason, have not or cannot see what is in plain sight. Ours is not to condemn, but to enlighten.
the offering of those rather hideous binary choices (drug dealing or enlistment, etc.) is another very telling indictment of the moral corruption of the governments that start most wars (and badly end others).

Yes, of course, because it is so important for the US citizenism camel and elephant caravans to get through.

and winding down some blow back from the great game, cold war iteration, as well as performing our ancillary but highly obligatory zionist duties.
all the wars since ww2 are failed diplomacy. hitler gave war a good name.
and he was probably the product of the failed diplomacy that "ended" ww1.
as smedley butler said, war is a racket. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Is_a_Racket
