U.S. Government Using Terrorism Against the American People

George Washington's picture

Year of the Snake(s) by Anthony Freda

We've documented that - by any measure - America is the largest sponsor of terrorism in the world.

But remember, terrorism is defined as:

The use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.

The American government has also been using violence and threats to intimidate and coerce the American public for political purposes.

For example, the U.S. government is doing the following things to terrorize the American public into docility and compliance:

U.S. constitutional law has taught for hundreds of years that chilling the exercise of our liberties is as dangerous to freedom than directly suppressing them.

For example, as we've previously noted, reporters censor themselves:

Initially, there is tremendous self-censorship by journalists.

For example, several months after 9/11, famed news anchor Dan Rather told the BBC that American reporters were practicing “a form of self-censorship”:

There was a time in South Africa that people would put flaming tires around peoples’ necks if they dissented. And in some ways the fear is that you will be necklaced here, you will have a flaming tire of lack of patriotism put around your neck. Now it is that fear that keeps journalists from asking the toughest of the tough questions…. And again, I am humbled to say, I do not except myself from this criticism.

What we are talking about here – whether one wants to recognise it or not, or call it by its proper name or not – is a form of self-censorship.

Keith Olbermann agreed that there is self-censorship in the American media, and that:

You can rock the boat, but you can never say that the entire ocean is in trouble …. You cannot say: By the way, there’s something wrong with our …. system.

As former Washington Post columnist Dan Froomkin wrote in 2006:

Mainstream-media political journalism is in danger of becoming increasingly irrelevant, but not because of the Internet, or even Comedy Central. The threat comes from inside. It comes from journalists being afraid to do what journalists were put on this green earth to do. . . .

There’s the intense pressure to maintain access to insider sources, even as those sources become ridiculously unrevealing and oversensitive. There’s the fear of being labeled partisan if one’s bullshit-calling isn’t meted out in precisely equal increments along the political spectrum.

If mainstream-media political journalists don’t start calling bullshit more often, then we do risk losing our primacy — if not to the comedians then to the bloggers.

I still believe that no one is fundamentally more capable of first-rate bullshit-calling than a well-informed beat reporter – whatever their beat. We just need to get the editors, or the corporate culture, or the self-censorship – or  whatever it is – out of the way.

Former Fox News reporters say the same thing.

Any reporters who don't censor themselves are harassedWhistleblowers are prosecuted ... or even tortured by the government.

The fact that the government is spying on all Americans - and using the information to launch political witch hunts - makes us all watch what we say, and makes us careful about who we talk to.  As the ACLU notes:

Peaceful protesters should not be treated as potential terrorists nor spied upon by federal government agents.  Not only is this a misuse of public funds that could be used to find real terrorists, it chills free speech activities and inhibits the public debate on important issues.

A federal judge found that the NDAA's provision allowing indefinite detention of Americans without due process has a "chilling effect" on free speech. And see this and this.

The threat of being labeled a terrorist certainly dissuades and chills our willingness to  exercise our rights.

Especially when power has become so concentrated that the same agency which spies on all Americans also decides who should be assassinated.

And fear of terror makes people docile and stupid ... and the government has intentionally whipped up an exaggerated hysteria of terror by "others" in order to scare the people.

The bottom line is that - like Stalin, Mao or Hitler - the U.S. government is using  violence and threats to intimidate and coerce its own people for political purposes ... to consolidate power and suppress dissent.

Victory by default! It has been 50 years since the multinational bankster terrorist murdered President Kennedy, and consequently, any chance of American freedom to print national money.

Victory by controlling Justice and stalling for time while at the same time striking new terrorist attacks against American economy, independence, constitution and national sovereignty. Over and over again, this brings us to the present.

Time stalling enough to erase the old generations and raise the new Fascist slave generations, in another 50 years; history will be rewritten.

One World.

These two words are the why and the wherefore. East vs west, Dem vs Repub. US vs Russia. All part of the same [Roman Empire]. Something is drawing the world into One for the purpose of ultimate power. JRR Tolkien forsaw this, having served in WWI, the beginning of the end:

One ring to to rule them all

One ring to find them,

One ring to bring them all,

and in the darkness bind them.

The ring of the fellowship of all men brings the desire for world peace, but beware, when these same leaders talk of peace.

Outstanding blog posting, as usual, GW! ! !

While I normally don't listen to NPR (in the same class as FoxFiction and CNN, ABC, etc.) my shortwave wasn't working so I turned into the other night and this AM.

The godawful show, On the Media with stooges Garfield and Brooke, interviewed anyother stooge, Julie the Talking Twit from the WSJ, who proceeded to proclaim that "..until recently intelligence agencies didn't do surveillance domestically..."

WTF????????

Evidently, the ability to read isn't required at any Rupert Murdoch publication as most people are aware today, thanks to those congressional investigations back in the 1970s, and early '80s, the CIA has been doing domestic surveillance, which used to be against the law (National Security Act and their charter), since shortly after their creation, at least dating back to the early 1950s.

Likewise, the FBI's COINTEL program has been operational also since the 1950s.

This AM, I heard Stevie the space cadet, on NPR, claim that "carried interest" was a loophole (since he repeated what an expert ostensibly said, this "journalistically" left him wiggle room) --- when, of course, it was specifically written for hedge fund operators, PE leveraged buyout queens, and various and sundry junk paper peddlers, no an "accidental" loophole of any type!

Propaganda after endless propaganda, with corporate consolidation of the media, thanks to Reagan, Bush #1, and Clinton's master stroke with the National Telecommunications Act, and now Drone Master Obama's FCC neocon dood going for the final consolidation for Rupert Murdoch's crime gang!

As a victim of judicial and executive terrorism (click on avatar for a short bio), I can confirm observations in this article, in spades.

I was accused of fictitious crimes, business destroyed, jailed for five months (for refusing to turn over records to the IRS), given a show trial – of sorts: all resources seized before trial, no witnesses, no evidence, no discovery, no jury, no trial – nothing; just a summary judgment for a crime that never happened.  Oh, one more thing, the IRS fabricated a tax liability, based on customers’ property, that now adds to near $75 million.

I had 600-800 customers at the time.  I thought that, when I was released from jail, they would help me recover our losses.  Instead, and owing to the terroristic treatment I received from the IRS and DoJ, they were so frightened they were fearful of any kind of contact with me.  Maybe a half percent of my customers lent assistance to me.

Did I learn anything?  Of course.  My major mistake was that I failed to collect the power needed to defend myself BEFORE I began offering my service (a gold-based banking service).

Can you blame me for my mistake?  I doubt it.  The knowledge I needed was buried deep in dust-covered history and law books; I discovered it, accidentally, about seven years before the inquisition; about twenty years too late.  It is the same mistake that all dissidents will make, who invariably are more mad than smart, or who imagine they can oppose tyrants armed with nothing more than the mental sewage that most describe with the gentle term, “propaganda”.

If you want to obtain real redress, you have to cleanse your mind of this mental sewage and replace it with real facts of history; the same history that, someday, others will write about us.

Obviously by creating an environment of fear through terrorist acts the government gets people to not only distrust each other, but give up freedoms to the government in exchange for "perceived" safety.

History shows, the more freedom given up to the government, the more people governments murder ... in the name of protecting others. In an environment where the government is on a murder spree, the opportunity for rogue and collateral killing is also enhanced ... as has been seen in Obama's drone murder spree.

Waco was a serious wake-up call.  That was a crime never punished, where murderers were hailed as heroes.  It sickens me that there are people still employed by this government and not jailed over that, Janet Reno and Bill Clinton included.

Texas Rangers found used FBI flash bangs in an eveidence locker in San Antonio, although the feds denied using them.  LIARS!  One of the other evidence lockers was the Murrah Bldg in OK City, and Eric holder signed off on the explosives that blew it up. F&F #1.

Dana Dudely Landers - if that was her real name - hung out with Tim McVeigh in Elohim City (ATF) and was plead out of the Freemen trial by two atty.s from Louisville.  They sure didn't want her on the stand ... FED?

The first trial ended with ONLY ONE convicted on the easiest charge the Govt. had - Conspiracy.  The jury figured Dale Jacobi (a former Canadian cop) and most likely, the USA (unindicted), were the conspirators.  It takes TWO don't ya know.  LOL.

* * *

Perjury has become the coin of the realm in federal law enforcement. People’s homes are invaded because of lies. People are arrested because of lies. People go to prison because of lies. People stay in prison because of lies, and sometimes, bad guys go free because of lies.
Lying has become a significant problem in federal court cases because the rewards to federal law enforcement officers can be so great and the consequences so minimal... They lied, hid evidence, distorted facts, engaged in cover-ups, paid for perjury and set up innocent people in a relentless effort to win indictments, guilty pleas and convictions... Rarely were these federal officials punished for their misconduct. Rarely did they admit their conduct was wrong.

The Sovereigns, Freemen of Character in Montana weren't slaughtered in '96 thanks to Militia from Ohio & many other States.  Guys (lots) with guns/night vision showed and things shut down peaceable.  We used local radio, allowed fed infiltration (Norm Olson/Ray Southwell from Michigan, etc.), etc, & promised that if any Freemen died, so would the feds.

During the Montana Freemen trial '98, I asked John Shockey of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency if the FRN was a lien - he about had a heart attack before he said - under oath - "no."  Still no perjury charge?

But please remember that both the Declaration and Constitution were written by an elite group, who had no intention of really applying the 'principles' to common folk, let alone their slaves at the time.

Also please remember that the much-vaunted Magna Carta was solely to benefit the barons and their 'right' to tax their serfs, etc. without giving a cut to King John.

It's a much-encouraged myth that sundry declarations were once intended to benefit the great majority of people.  Everything has ALWAYS been for the 1%, or less.

Excellent points, Setarcos!

The real history of America can be learned by studying those who have occupied the position of Secretary of the Treasury:  if one doesn't understand that Alexander Hamilton and his son were effectively assassinated, and the reasons behind it (he pushed for an actual economic "meritocracy" in America, was anti-slavery and against the selling of any financial stake in the US Bank while it was Jefferson who actually ended up selling out to the British banksters, etc.), to the present dood, Timothy Geithner, who is a descendant of some significant wealth and bankster types on the Moore side of the family (his daddy, Geithner, Sr., was a genuine CIA swashbuckling type) and Geithner was head of the FRBNY, while his BFF and old college roomie, Daniel Zelikow was Managing Director of JPMorgan Chases' contract over the Iraqi Trade Bank, overseeing the flow of Iraqi oil revenues when $9 billion went missing between 2003 to 2005.

And then there's that missing $16 billion which disappeared from Freddie Mac's books in 2006, and that $17 billion which went missing in Afghanistan around 2007 to 2009?

And look into Dillon's background, and the name change and origin and relatives of that Swiss family (Rothschild cousins, etc.).

And the first vice chairman of the Federal Reserve (Paul Warburg) who's brother was the director of the German Central Bank at the same time (World War I).

Real history can be mighty interesting....

Setarcos - - of course, what you wrote has a lot of truth to it. And, too often myth takes the place of historical fact.

That said, its always been the majority who have enslaved themselves. They far outnumber the < 1% and cannot be made to do what they do not submit to (over the long term).

More people in the world are aware of the reality in which they live, than any time in human history. The manner in which we communicate here . . on the internet . . is the reason for this.  Some day, perhaps, enough people won't decide to comply with their own slavery any longer.

I would be interested in what the American people are doing in order to preserve the existing Declaration of Independence. Are they filing legal actions, demanding their Congressmen to act, sending tough questions to their representatives e.g. on Facebook, taking part on meetings and public discussion events... or just helplessly lamenting over the situation being hypnotized and paralyzed by the snake eyes?

Anasteus - - for over 100 years the teaching of critical thinking skills and true US history (including the foundations of our nation) has been attacked in the public 'schools'. This was a purposeful effort that has been well documented. I have asked good h.s. and college students questions about these subjects, and they know little about them.

Most Americans know little about the Declaration of Independence, the nature of a democracy versus a republic, etc.  They have been taught that we have a 'democracy' and are easily manipulated by the media.

You Sir are absolutely right. I, like many others, have been in war and do not wish the experience on anyone else. I would exaust every means available before direct conflict that involves killing. Killing is not fruitful, just, or righteous but I will kill for my freedom and family when the hammer falls!
