U.S. Approved Israeli Bombing of Syria … and May Join the War at Any Moment

George Washington's picture

Israel claims it bombed a weapons convoy, while Syria claimed that a research facility was hit. Who is right?

Both.

Time reports:

Israeli warplanes struck several targets inside Syria overnight Tuesday, including a biological weapons research center that was reportedly flattened out of concern that it might fall into the hands of Islamist extremists fighting to topple the government of Syrian president Bashar Assad, Western intelligence officials tell TIME.

The irony is thick, as the U.S. is directly backing the Islamist extremists fighting to topple the Syrian government.

Time continues:

A Western intelligence official indicated to TIME that at least one to two additional targets were hit the same night, without offering details. Officials also said that Israel had a “green light” from Washington to launch yet more such strikes.

But the U.S. isn’t just an arm-chair quarterback … it may directly join in the action:

One Western intelligence official told TIME the U.S. military was poised to carry out similar airstrikes around Aleppo if rebels threaten to take sites associated with weapons of mass destruction in that region.

In the bizarro world of American and Israeli propaganda, arming Al Qaeda rebels or bombing Syrian assets does not count as “intervening” in a war:

Though no country has intervened in Syria’s civil war directly …

In diplomatic terms, surgical strikes launched in the name of preventing proliferation of weapons of mass destruction tend to be well-tolerated by the international community, especially when the attacks are not publicly acknowledged. Israel still does not officially acknowledge its secret 2007 destruction of a Syrian nuclear reactor.

“I’m not going to give any condemnation of Israel or rush into any criticism,” British foreign secretary William Hauge told the BBC on Thursday. “There may be many things about it that we don’t know, or the Arab League or Russia don’t know.”

What does this mean?

The endless war on terror has been re-branded through propaganda. There are no new wars launched by America and its allies. There are simply “kinetic actions“, and “covert operations” carried out in secret.

Postscript: The official narrative says that these endless series of wars secure our national defense and stimulate the economy.

In the real world, however, top American economists say that endless war has ruined our economy and hurt the vast majority of Americans.

And security experts – including both conservatives and liberals – agree that waging war in the Middle East weakens national security and increases terrorism. See this, this, this, this, this, this, this and this.

I recently had a cab driver in San Francisco.  He was Syrian, and had recently fled the country.  He said the reason he left was because many of the rebels in his area where Chechnyan Islamic radicals who were tormenting the intellectuals and non-radicals just as much or moreso than Assad ever did.

What is missing from our media is investigation on the complete makeup of the rebels opposed to Assad.  I think the world deserves to know just what forces are in play.  It may not fit the happy narrative of good vs. evil, but it is better to know the truth, warts and all.

I have said it before and I will say it again. North Korea may have a vile regime at its helm, but it was smart enough to have nuclear weapons that keep the US's nose out of their country.

Is it any wonder that Iran and others are trying to develop that capability?

The American people are sick and tired of sending their men and women to fight these usless wars in the Middle East and other Muslim lands.

Why the anti-war movement has not been resurrected from the Vietnam Era is beyond my comprehension.

IMHO,it's only a matter of time before the anti-war movement awakens from its "Progressive naviety" to demand the end of these senseless wars.

I'm happy to tell you why there's no anti-war movement:

Christian Zionism, which teaches that God promised LAND (Israel) to his people (in addition to Messiah). Christian Zionism most certainly is a cult having nothing to do with Christ.  Propagated by the Zionist-controlled Oxford Press publishing the Scofield Reference Bilbe in the early 20th C.  CHRISTIAN ZIONISTS ARE THE USA'S LARGEST CONSISTENT VOTING BLOCK FOR MID EAST WARS, AND I DARE ANYONE TO CONTRADICT THIS.  Believe me, I know, because I lived in that environment.

Military Industrial Complex (Pres. Dwight Eisenhauer invented this term in his Farewell Address) has major presence in all 50 States.

Lying scum bag Dems are only anti-war with a Republican President, which will likely never have again considering the scum bags the R's nomninate.  (Pelosi and Feinstein make more money from war then any other known Republican anyway...both vote only and always for war regardless how idiotic liberals perceive them.)

This is a war about automobiles ... as are all the other current wars.

Syrian energy production as well as its consumption are exportable ... the consumption is exportable immediately. (So is Greek, Italian, Spanish, French, Irish, Portuguese, Egyptian, Libyan, Tunisian, Yemeni, etc. consumption. Now you know why there is a 'finance crisis' in Europe and destabilization in the Middle East and Northern Africa). Americans can drive a little while longer b/c Tunisians cannot afford fuel or b/c the Syrians' cars are blown up.

If energy is not consumed in one (or more) countries it can be consumed elsewhere. If the Arab world, N. Africa and Europe can be forced to cut consumption the 10 million-or-so barrels thereby freed can be shipped to the US where it represents a newly discovered Saudi Arabia!

Hallelujah, we're saved!

Can anyone figure out why all the 'fracking' and 'shale oil' propaganda? Do you know where your oil comes from? The US is stealing crude from its Nato allies while claiming it all comes from North Dakota!

Relax, our 'allies' (suckers) are too stupid to figure out what we are doing to them, not that there is anything they can do about it!

If producer countries are destabilized enough they are forced to sell their crude for bargain-basement prices in order to buy food! See: Iran, Egypt, Syria, Libya, South Sudan, Uganda ... hmm, this is a longish list! Mexico? Every one of these countries now has a real or perceived reason to hit the US and its sock-puppet Israel hard,

This is the same US with a military that has not won a war since 1945, is incapable of winning wars because its command redefines 'incompetent' in entirely new ways!

Pakistan? The US and Sockie must bat .1000 in order to keep vast numbers of newly-created adversaries from making mincemeat of US citizens ... All of this is so some fat asshats might drive a little while longer. Toyota and Ford make US foreign policy. How about feeding the auto executives into a woodchipper, instead?

Negative.  Oil concern was minimal in the early 20th C.

This video is about 60 minutes long.  It teaches exactly how Christian Zionists think, the USA's largest consistent voting block for endless wars.  The video sells nothing.

It starts in the early 20th C with Zionist-run Oxford publishing the Scofield Reference Bible, the first Bible to instruct so-called Christians to believe that God promised LAND (Israel) in addition to Messiah.

Oxford published Scofield, an unpublished, uneducated American convicted criminal.  Oxford never before published an American, and never before published an unpublished author.  Why did they do this?  Learn exactly how and why.

Steve, we export 28% of all our REFINED fuels now.

We currently have 206+ Billion barrels on hand, and we had 205 Billion barrels on hand 20 yrs ago when it was under $2.00 a gallon.

Decreased demand, and fixing to have $5.00 a gallon, SO why does our Govt allow 28% of our REFINED fuels to be exported?.

Kept here, the price of OUR fuel would be under $2.50 per gallon.

Intel Drop: Israel’s plan for World War enters high gear
By Gordon Duff and Press TV
“The ‘final straw,’ as it were, has been set in motion in Azerbaijan. Their government, once in agreement with Iran over Caspian oil finds, now is taking direction from Israel. This may well cause the world war that carefully engineered interference in Syria and Mali are only building up to.”

Intelligence reports from across the world are pointing to one face, no longer simply a “mosaic” or “connected dots.”

Israel is using a series of surrogates, the US, Britain, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Al Qaeda, Boko Harum, UNITA, and groups within the US, AIPAC, the ADL, police organizations, all aligned with organized crime, drug and human trafficking and gambling interests in Las Vegas and Macao." ...

Not to mention indiference about Iraq and Afghanistan. Keep in mind that the US quite literally has bases in almost every country in the region. We have troops in 6 of the 8 countries which border Iran plus every country across the gulf ((Kuwait, Saudi, UAE (recreation facilities only as far as I know), Qatar (entire AF wing) and Bahrain (entire US 5th Fleet!!!)) plus air bases in Kyrgystan. Couple this with British bases in the region (Cyprus for example) and the fuckjobs in Israel and you don't have to wonder why Iran feels threatened by the West.

I would be interested to know why not even ONE of the Zionist conspiracy touters EVER talk about how fascistic and imperialistic Islam, the fount of Jihad, Shariah, humans shields and suicide bombers, is overtly and covertly out to destroy western civilization (or what's left of it). It is not only imperialistic, but it's anti-freedom, anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, anti-atheist, anti homosexual, anti free speech, anti women, pro rape (of infidel women and apostates), pro slavery, pro cliterectomy and virulently anti constitution and Bill of Rights. When are you dickheads going to address all the rapes, murders, wars, genocides (past and present) of this black political system masquerading as a religiion? At least if you attack them with as much gusto as you attack the Zionists and their Gentile partners, you could have an air of credibility and understanding of just where the world is really headed.

You have failed to address my point about Islam and it's anti-freedom agenda. I forgot to mention the sanctioning in the hadiths for pedophelia and beastiality. BTW, it is Muslim who are killing each other in great numbers, as well as killing tens of thousands of Christians in Africa and the ME. The time for the West stealing Muslim resources has been in its waning phase for 20 years. Sure, it still happens, but just where exactly are the Christians and Jews "killing the Muslims in great numbers?" It's simply bullshit. Muslims are killing far more non-Muslims worldwide and if you're honest with yourself, you could easlily see it. Worldwide jihad and the rise of the "Muslim Caliphate" movement, as well as the crazy "messianic" Muslims willing to blow up the world to bring the "Madhi" are the greatest danger the civilized world has faced since Hitler. Read a little history. The Muslims have been shitting on the West for centuries. The US Navy was started due to Muslims pirates raiding US ships who wouldn't pay the extortions that the Brits gladly paid to get their people, ships and goods returned. That was under President T. Jefferson. Muslims tried to conquer Europe and were stopped on 9/11/1684 (or thereabouts) and were stopped at the gates of Vienna. Does the date 9/11 ring a bell. You think they chose that date as an accident. So, the poor, oppressed and taken advantage of Muslim "victims" meme is a crock of shit. You're right, things don't happen for no reason...

this is domino theory in reverse (failed us policy in SE asia) during which we thought the entire region was going communist. and we were active in a lot of places then, laos and cambodia, just as we are active in a lot of places now. the goal of reverse domino theory is to bring all the dominos in line with american israel policy goals. we hate SYRIA because it is in the SOVIET sphere of influence. NORTH VIETNAM held out and prevailed in their war due in large part to SOVIET air defense systems. either those systems are no longer viable, in the case of SYRIA, or the SOVIETS aren't really interested. if you sense the contradiction just keep in mind that the rebels fighting ASSAD are in no way our ALLIES, as GW has pointed out. once SYRIA falls the real fighting may begin. ISRAELI policy (in regards to those of its neighbors it subjugates) is to keep assassinating any new leadership which arises, therefore leadership remains stuck in extremist minority politics, (which is what they prefer in IRAN, which would become a democratic and economic country if they could get beyond the MULLAHS) bottom line SYRIA will have a more EXTREME government after this war is over, which is why we're funding ALQAEDA.

From a friend who works for a contractor:

The company I work for, holds military contracts with the UN, UK and USA. The way the contracts work is, they are signed before conflicts usually, then activated as and when. This gives the vendor time to prepare food stuffs, supply lines and warehouse building materials. So basically, conflicts these days are bought and paid for, before they have even begun.

There is going to be a lot of western military infrastructure put in in Syria, I guess it's going to used as a base for Iran. The same as on the western boarders of the Ghan, all manned by private companies.

Same can be said for Africa, we are pumping so much in to there at the moment, it's unreal. It makes the Afghanistan budget look like small change, and we have been the biggest vendor out here for a long time.
