Nonsense.  Both Buchanan and Paul were "viable" in terms of generating grassroots interest.  It was the party who shafted both.  They WERE the "viable candidates" and that is why the Republican establishment followed the instructions of its paymasters, and shafted them.  Wake up.

What he did say was that he didn't want to split the party in favor of the counterfeit usurper, which means the same thing, only with plausible denialibility.
