I think you should get the ZH obscure reference of the month award for the jeans picture. Maybe we need to have a seperate blog post once a year for the Hedgys.
I think the only thing you could do to improve upon that jeans picture is to edit it where Barry's fly is unzipped.
As fucked up as things are when we lose our sense of humor we tend to lose our sanity and in turn our humanity. Once we lose that they ultimately win. Keep up the good fight.
Maybe you could do an Eric Holder equivalent poster/bumper-sticker of Reagan administation attorney general Edwin Meese. You know..."Experts Agree - Meese is a Pig."
looks like they're ready to slice him into tranches. i want some AAA rated. what? they're all AAA rated, well i don't want the part that went over the fence last.
we should appoint him for life. reason being that W Bush changed the rules, and the next president is always worse than the one before him. it only stands to reason.
things are becoming progressively worse, Obama ran on CHANGE.we can't improve our situation through CHANGE. [Obama has proven that] its a little complicated. Western Man has achieved social and technological progress by separating thought from action. an example is a surgeon who can literally disassemble a living human body and reassemble it, without becoming emotionally involved. we rearrange the social, political and technological landscape with complete detachment, and little concern for the human effects other than the appearance of good health.
here's the rub, separating thought from action implies the reverse; action, which is policy; war, economic policy, social policy, now proceeds on course without any conscious direction on our part. the systems are so large they have a life (and a purpose of their own) we imagine that someone is pulling the strings, in reality the system is really running ahead, a perpetual motion machine. of course there is never a shortage of sociopaths to play their role in this drama.
Some truth there about the self perpetuating nature of large organisations, particularly in regards to the MIC. But I think the belief that Obama has kept any of his promises on CHANGE is a mistake. Obama proves nothing. The only things different about this administration from the last is the melanin content of his skin, and his beguiling ability to string sentences together without making me cringe.
I also must protest about the quip that Western man achieved social and technological progress by separating thought from action. It is a common mistake to suggest that dispassionate behaviour is akin to wisdom. In my view, all the best scientists are those who still retain an almost child-like passion for their field of study, and true human progress come from "amateurs" in the old sense of the word (Those who do it for love). A surgeon who separates action from thought is a glorified mechanic. A surgeon whose actions revolve around saving a father/mother/child much like his own, who can project his sympathies, is a healer. I know which one of those is wiser.
Perhaps it was suggested in ironic jest which I missed, but the thought of having more of the same crap from each successive POTUSes (Potusi?) fills me with dread. If you guys from across the pond ever manage to elect somebody sane, like Dr.R.Paul to the White House, I might think differently, but right now I think the world would be a much saner place if we built a giant wall around the continental US to prevent Americans from harming others. Having said that, we're not much better as lapdogs to a bunch of sociopaths I suppose, possibly worse.
But where's Becky?
That's Chaplin from the Great Dictator, leader of Tomania.
I've seen it. The Globe Scene is unforgettable.
