I was old enough during the Vietnam War to understand what was wrong with the indiscriminate use of violence around civilian populations and I am sorry to see that the lessons supposedly learned then were very short lived.

Napalm burned bodies, rotting bodies of women and children. We were the "Green Machine" then, refering to the OD green we wore. We counted the bodies, report the score.

Now we are a machine with no name other than anti terrorist and too lazy to even count!

I thought after the war we had gained some sanity, that my generation would never let that happen again. All appears to be lost now.
