CIA Head Sworn In On Draft Constitution WITHOUT Bill of Rights
The government has absolutely shred the Bill of Rights in the last decade or so.
New CIA boss John Brennan endorses torture, assassination of unidentified strangers (including Americans) without due process, and spying on all Americans.
As such, it is fitting that Mr. Brennan specially requested that he be sworn in on a draft of the Constitution lacking the Bill of Rights.
A draft which doesn’t even begin with the famous preamble we all know and love:
We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America ....
But rather starts with:
We the People of the States of New-Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations, Connecticut, New-York, New-Jersey, Pennslyvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North-Carolina, South-Carolina and Georgia, do ordain, declare and establish the following Constitution for the Government of Ourselves and our Posterity….
That has a very different tone from the final version of the Constitution.

Washington was a brave leader (but a terrible general). When making rash statements about the events at the assination of JFK please do so after reading the book written by Mark Lane called "Plausible Denial". It has already been established in the 9th circuit court of appeals that the CIA was directly involved in the assination of JFK. It really is amazing how simply even an event of that magnitude can be covered up even though it has been brought to light and the public eye in a court of law.

I used to entertain various conspiracies about JFK, but after I watched "Who Was Oswald" (a 3 hour Frontline show), I am now convinced that he was indeed a lone nutjob who wanted to be famous for something, was rejected by the CIA and the KGB, was a total loser who knew how to shoot a gun. The quality of the evidence and interviews in this documentary blow away anything that was made previously. They even interviewed the KGB staff Oswald interacted with, and obtained photos taken by agents watching the Cuban embassy in Mexico.
The great thing about neutralizing a conspiracy theory is that it means you don't have to waste your time in a fantasy world based of arguments of disbelief.
I think most conspiracy theories are not intentional propaganda. Conspiracy theories are self-forming whenever there is an opaque and powerful entity that has unknown incentives. When non-experts start making judgements about evidence with which they have no experience, then they will not believe better explanations and will find some marginal wannbe expert who can support their theory.

What happened to the Bible? Since when do we swear to a draft document?
A couple of things.
First, the oath is to God (the presence of a Bible reflecting its solemnity) and second it is an oath to uphold the consitution as adopted and amended and not to a draft.
I'm not sure if this was his way to symbolize his respect for the rule of law (that's what the White House says) or if he is simply giving himself room to manuever. Either way, it is a departure from the ritual as we have always observed it and it SHOULD concern all thinking and freedom loving people.
Obama has been an incredible disappointment. He was elected (and re-elected) as an outsider who understood the struggle for human rights and human dignity as well as the danger of a corporatized/fascist society run amok. Instead, at almost every turn he has kowtowed to the military industrial complex, the banking/insurance lobby and the neo-con/Bush Doctrine hawks while paying lip service to liberal social causes of equality.

As a person who does not know much about it I think it is true that there are several versions of "the" bible freely available for your review an critique. Much editing was done and I believe that "original" books incorporated are also available to some extent.
