The Biggest Lie Ever Sold to the American Public

Phoenix Capital Research's picture

The US has been lying to all of us for decades now.

We’re not talking about some kooky conspiracy theory… we’re talking about INFLATION.

By understating inflation, the Federal Government and Federal Reserve have done two things:

  1. Exaggerated our economic growth.
  2. Lied about the true cost of living in the US.

Regarding #1, every time the US prints GDP growth numbers, it adjusts this data for inflation. The reason for this is that if the economy grows at 10%, but prices also rise at 10%, then there really hasn’t been any actual growth.

To deal with this, the US adjusts its GDP measures for inflation to make it appear as f they’re objective. The only problem is that the US adjusts GDP using a phony inflation number that is much lower than reality.

A great example is last quarter when we were told that the GDP grew at an annual rate of 0.1%. The reality is that if you used realistic inflationary measures, the US economy SHRANK at a rate of over -1% last quarter. Yes, negative 1%. The worst GDP print since 2009.

The same lie has been extended to the US population about our standard of living.

For decades now we’ve been told that we were getting wealthier because incomes were growing and asset prices like stocks and real estate were rising.

However, the reality is that inflation was the source for much of this “growth.” The US Dollar has lost nearly 20% of its value in the last decade. The end result is all of us are paying much more for EVERYTHING. But we’re being told that we’re actually richer because incomes are up

This is why understating inflation is a HUGE LIE: it is a lie to all of us that our living standards are improving when in fact they’re not.

And the media is FINALLY beginning to report on it.

Those who know the price of everything and the value of nothing are said to be cynics. Americans can be forgiven for being a bit cynical, though, when it comes to prices. Their own cost of living rarely seems to be as low as official statistics claim it is.

Friday's consumer-price index for February is seen rising 0.2% month on month, excluding volatile food and energy costs. That would bring the year-on-year pace to 2%.

A change to the inflation-measuring process 30 years ago by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Uncle Sam's arbiter of prices, is starting to raise eyebrows again. Since 1983, house prices haven't been part of the consumer-price index. Instead, the BLS calculates "owners' equivalent rent," a mix of actual rents and what homeowners guess their homes would fetch if rented.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324392804578360553019755538.html

Look around you. The cost of everything is increasing dramatically. Gas prices are UP. Home prices are UP. Healthcare costs are UP. Energy prices area UP. Everything you need to survive is UP.

Forget the Fed’s CPI measure. Inflation is here now. And things are only going to be getting worse going forward. History has shown us countless times that you cannot print money without prices soaring. There is not one single instance in which currency devaluation has not done this. And the US Federal Reserve is now printing $84 billion every single month.

What effect do you think this will have on the cost of everything?

Make no mistake, now is the time to be preparing yourself and your portfolio for this. Inflation can take its time to arrive. But once it does… things move very very quickly.

If you’re concerned about inflation… there are some very simple but HIGHLY EFFECTIVE means of shielding yourself from it… and you can learn about them in detail by visiting us at: http://www.phoenixcapitalmarketing.com/inflation.html

Best Regards,

Graham Summers

Use federal reserve notes and incur an Irrecusable obligation. The puzzle is complete!!!
A Banksters defeatism (realization of defeat) nightmare, Being forced to Return to Real Money=United States Note=Lawful Money, Use the Remedy within the Federal Reserve Act. Redeemed 12USC411, Refusal Penalty 12USC501a [link to savingtosuitorsclub.net] Stop being a Slave!!!!!! This is Tax Free Money!!!!!! [link to stormthunder.com]
Convincing Congress to Abolish the Fed [link to www.silverbearcafe.com]
Irrecusable obligation, which according to 'Bouvier's Law Dictionary' (1914 ed.), is "a term used to indicate a certain class of contractual obligations recognized by the law which are imposed upon a person without his consent and without regard to any act of his own." This is distinguished from a recusable obligation, which according to Bouvier, arises from a voluntary act by which one incurs the obligation imposed by the operation of law. The Income Tax succinctly described is an irrecusable obligation.
The obligation to make a return of income for using private credit is recognized in law as an irrecusable obligation. The voluntary use of private credit is the condition precedent, which imposes the irrecusable obligation to file a tax return. If private credit is not used or rejected, then the operation of law, which imposes the irrecusable obligation lies dormant and cannot apply.

What you state may be the legal rationale adopted by those cloistered, proponents of legalized government theft and impoverishment of the producing class who infest the institutions of authority within the co-opted/corrupted banker's putative junta infesting the Land of ZOG in Washington, D.C....

The U.S. Constitution prohibits "capitation", the taxing of individual citizens.

SCOTUS has ruled the personal income tax to be illegal.....and also ruled that the 16th Amendment gave the Federal Government "no new powers of taxation".

Wake up America!  You are financing your own destruction through your own ignorance..!

The part the galls me is the tax on inflation i.e. Capital Gains.  You put money in the bank that pays less than inflation.  You are then continually taxed on the value you have lost.  Makes a lot of sense.

Shadowstats.com has inflation at 10%. Seems conservative to me. Also GDP includes govt "production". Scrub out govt production of about half and add back 5% of the result for true cost of protecting private property and correct GDP is nearer to 6.5 trillion or so.

Texas Roadhouse Entree Special (slow weeknights):

Two years ago = $6.99

Last year = $7.99

This year = $8.99

I see two meal specials for places like Applebee's and Chili's and they say "Two dinners only $25!!!", as if that's a good deal.  Hell, that's food for a week.  I remember the specials being two for $15 not long ago.

Papa Murphy's used to sell a two topping take-and-bake large pizza for $7, they are $10-$13 now, which makes Dominoes or another take out almost the same price so why drive to pick it up and bake it?  They are shooting themselves and their franchisees in the foot.

I don't really go out much, but I see the prices and when I do take my kids out I notice the hit.

If you grocery shop you know how bad it is.  Bacon, milk, eggs, bread, cereal, beef, fish, chicken, vegetables - all the staple foods you buy to make meals are up 25% at the least.

The Debt Money Tyranny Trojan Horse is the perpetual power mechanism of the Debt Money Tyrants:

http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/4768883/debtmoneytyranny-6-1-pdf-60k?tr=77

The world is being systematically bankrupted by money!

“We say in our platform that we believe that the right to coin money and issue money is a function of government. We believe it. We believe it is a part of sovereignty….

“Those who are opposed to this proposition tell us that the issue of paper money is a function of the bank and that the government ought to go out of the banking business. I stand with Jefferson rather than with them, and tell them, as he did, that the issue of money is a function of the government and that the banks should go out of the governing business.

“When we have restored the [debt free] money of the Constitution, all other necessary reforms will be possible, and that until that is done there is no reform that can be accomplished.”

So much money is in existence now that it is quickly and easily being exchanged for the wealth held by weak hands.

Weak hands? You know, people who work for a living because they can't live off the investments Mummy and Daddy left them.

Here is the trap door - no matter how much money exists in society ex Biggest Finance Capital (The Owners, The Man, whatever), IT IS ALWAYS LESS THAN THE DEBT OWED BY SOCIETY, SO SOCIETY IS TRAPPED IN A PERPETUAL STATE OF INSOLVENCY.  The money (and debt used to create it!) has to grow exponentially or the debt Ponzi collapses.

Now you know why they have to inflate - if they don't, the fact that society is insolvent, by decree, will become obvious to the serfs.  Exponential growth can't occur forever, so it ends in a bone grating depression...  where the mega banks asset strip as much of society as they can and use their looted trillions to buy up whatever is left over for pennies on the dollar.

This is so elementary, but a debt saturated society can't fathom the wickedness of it, but that wickedness is EXACTLY the reason that will be the outcome!

The debt is inextinguishable by definition.

Henry Ford did not believe this was the result of stupidty, rather, he laid out the conspirators and their conspiracy in a fair amount of detail...

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. The one aim of these financiers is world control by the creation of inextinguishable debt.”
~Henry Ford

Here's a proposition to get back at these robber barons.  Let's get together as "we the people" and tell the government (rather than they telling us) which items to select in order to monitor inflation.  I'd suggest as just a short list, a gallon of gasoline, a loaf of bread, and a gallon of milk.

No "seasonal adjustments" or any of that bullshit.  Just consistent averages from a regular list of vendors, averaged nationally.  A sixth-grader could do it!

What would you suggest adding to this list?

"Inflation" is a big lie word - with more bullshit than you can ever figure out. And there are too many variables to gather to make any sense of it for consumer goods. A much easier way is to take a commodity (not like eggs or milk or bread or meat) that is never in short supply and never subject to weather - like gravel. Go find out what a ton of ABC gravel cost 20 years ago, 10 years ago, and now. Guess what? the gravel is the same so no arguing over value and improvements, and modernization, and increase in power factors. Just plain old ABC available everywhere. Usually found in a near by dry river bed or quarry. Call them on the phone - ask how much for a ton. Engage them in a conversation about "inflation;" don't be put off by talk of tons, truck loads, and contractor discounts. Ask them to tell you for the 3 time periods using the same stuff. It is the same stuff today as it was millions of years ago. And never use the word inflation again. Because the price difference is "loss of purchasing power." Don't be surprised if you are too angry to talk after you find out. Then consider whether you want to be a good, silent citizen any longer.

Our gravel, per ton, #4 agg is running about $7 with no freight (plant pick up). Four years ago, same was $4, eight years ago was $5.  Demand zeroed out in 2008-2010.  Prices dropped to try to sell enough to just meet the nut.  Barely scraped by.  Seems like most of our business now is government related in one way or the other.

Gravel, like any other commodity, is affected by market conditions.  We managed to hang on so far, but a number of competitors have left our area.  When demand slumped, we had to drop prices as much as possible.  In the unlikely event that demand starts increase, so will our prices.

To give you an idea of how bad it was, in 2005 we did $63 million in sales.  In 2009, $22 million.  We should be about $34 million at the end of March (fy).  90% of that revenue is government related.  We still have miniscule private demand.

I am so confused why some here espouse the idea there is no inflation. Every day when I leave my house I am inundated with inflation at every turn. Grocery store items seem to be going up every week. I filled my car at $4.20. Last week was $4.14. All our lab supplies have gone up dramatically in the last few years, at least 20% and in some cases more ( Obamacare?) I don't know what lifestyle one has to lead to not experience this. Some one told me they calculated inflation in San Diego at 8%. I probably should delve into our personal expenses and verify that but what would be the point? We've already cut all non essentials. We are not getting raises at our jobs to compensate even remotely for this. Can't everyone see we're on a sinking ship? Why does everyone seem to be walking around oblivious? Is there Soma in the public water supply? I'm so frustrated, angry and depressed at the whole fucking country.

You're telling me.  I have the misfortune of working as a public employee without a union contract.  It's a terrible place to be right now; too competent to be a contractor and not protected by a union.  Long story short, my salary's been frozen for five years and the walls are closing in on me.  I've been trying to get out for awhile, but I don't understand the job market anymore.  Liars seem to have their pick of everything while those with actual skills (vaunted STEM degrees even) go wanting.  It's maddening.

Five years ago, I was earning OK money all things considered.  You know the deal, a lower salary offset by a pension and cheaper insurance.  I'm talking just below the median that demagogues like Limbaugh appeal to when they wage their brand of class warfare.  I made payments on a new car, regularly contributed to a savings account, and had a little left over (but no cable or iPhone or other frivolous bills).  In other words, I was living well within my means.

Today, I can't save a dime, struggle from paycheck to paycheck, and another new car is about as likely as a seat on the next Space-X rocket.  I know some people are thinking "stupid liberal" but the worst of the price spikes have come at the hands of Republicans preaching conservatism.  At the state level, deregulation of electricity caused prices to skyrocket.  At the local level, my property taxes outpace official inflation every year.  Gas, food, mandatory garbage/sewer service, etc are always up too.

It's not like I haven't tried anything else.  I've had a part-time job for years that's now almost a waste of time for how little it pays.  I've tried to start a business but in the absence of loans I've had to self-fund resulting in far slower growth.  Welfare isn't an option either no matter how fantastical the morons on TV make it appear for their even dumber audiences.  I'm cutting corners everywhere I can think of and keeps getting harder to breathe.  I just don't know what to do.
