Eventually it comes down to people.

No ruling institution or authority lasts forever, especially one that is evil and abuses the people that it purports to serve (errr oppress). People will give the oligarchs a lot of rope because honestly they just don't give a damn about those who think they are all powerful and think they are masters of the world, building statues to themselves and heaping honors upon themselves. The people just don't give a damn about kings and queens and presidents and bankers ... until they do.

And when that time comes, the people who make it possible for the oligarchs or whatever to exist: the police, army, functionaries and managers, figure out that they are not in fact part of the ruling class and only thought of as peons and toadies ... and when that happens and they finally figure out which side they are REALLY on, then it is all over for the ruling class. The police go home. The army goes home. The managers go home and the bosses are left with no one to boss... and they are alone, unprotected and vulnerable.

... and that is how this will end.
