The Irish authorities have officially indicated that they are looking into the matter. Could this be the reason why Ireland's top bregulator stepped down so quickly that he forgot to take his bonus?ank

You can actually use this form to convey my message. We don't want the Irish government authorities moving faster than the US, do we? Anyone (read subordinate bondholders, shareholders) who lost money in these banks should not have to be pushed to make a move, should they?

I'm a little confused by the letter though. It looks like it's from the "Garda Siochana" or the cops. I know the cops have financial investigative division but as far as I know it's for dealing with the drug dealers etc. Also the Laois / Offaly area is the sticks and Dublin is the area where the Troika, bankers, civil servants, politicians etc hang out. Unless there is more to the correspondence I don't see the relevance. Blanking out the file ref number really doesn't help and I'm not sure what purpose it serves as any anonymity it provides is superficial at best. In other words a few phone calls by those in power will uncover any correspondence and identities associated with this letter
There is no doubt in my mind that regulators, politicians and bankers colluded to hide the true state of the Irish bankers finances.
Oh yeah and the regulator who quit is an English guy who spent 6 years in Ireland. It might be he is homesick and the 100K severance is a pittance compared to what he may have been offered in the way of compensation from whoever his next employer is.
Unfortunately the letter looks like a slough-off letter issued by a temp clerk in the basement corner.
Until bankers go to jail, they aren't.
BTW, would the guy on the Kaiser Report discover that useful 21st century invention, the "comb".

I like this. "forget just moving markets...it's time to start moving Governments now." I have been watching the "intersection of Governments and military's" oh these many years now...and have not been...surprised. As for the moving of the Governments themselves "your ambition is duly noted." to which I say "give this man a trading floor." London, Connecticut, Singapore, Katmandu...does it matter anymore? Obviously my resume has already been written via "one monster market call after another." still...this is indeed "the purview of Kings." Clearly I need to pick up my game.
