House Passes CISPA ... the Privacy-Shredding Web Spying Bill

The privacy-shredding Internet spying bill - CISPA - has passed the House.
Our only chance is to stop it in the Senate. Background here and here.
Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian also urges us to contact Google, Facebook and Twitter and demand that they stand up to defeat CISPA:

usa .gov hates the people for their freedom. freedom of the people is dangerous to the free governance of the people by the corporatocracy. unfortunately the bottom half of the class has no idea what is happening and the top half has no balls so both are run over like pins in a bowling alley.
The US govt loves people so much that it's over in the ME sacrificing it's own children! The nerve of some people to suggest... </sarc>
Good lord why can't the US gov't just fucking vaporize. I mean basically that's what it's doing but it's taking too damn long.
"Good lord why can't the US gov't just fucking vaporize."
Top of the day to you rsnoble.
We must all remember, the People are the Government. What you are asking for is, the corrupted banksters, big media, and paid off lackey politicians that pretend to be leaders, to "just fucking vaporize." Heck, even just a little bit of real honesty would be a significant change.
The sad truth is, as long as you have supposed law enforcers and our own military planning and partaking in false flag events, and then covering them up, along with the corruption of these politicians and banksters that own them all, nothing is ever going to change. The virus and narley wicked pus of the evil corruption and cowardice will continue unabated until the beast consumes itself...somewhere over the rainbow.
I agree with rsnoble, though I won't pretend to speak or interpret or otherwise try and attempt to speak for him/her, I WILL state that the OUTCOME of what he'/she mentions is basically the decommissioning of a POWER CENTER. As long as there is a place to grab power from people will climb all over themselves grabbing for it, and once they have their hands on it...
Why do we, "the people," actually require a power center (which we KNOW will ONLY get corrupted)?
From White Men Can't Jump's Gloria Clemente:
Hamilton "won," but we actually "lost." Perhaps that Jefferson "lost" will eventually result that we will eventually "win."
"We must all remember, the People are the Government. " - WRONG.
In 1913, the people of the United States became tenants of the Corporation of the United States. At that point, citizenship died. Your money was no longer issued by your treasury and your birth cirtificate was no longer issued by a country. The fact is that you are a tenant, you money is issued by a private bank (at interest - currently around 500 billion per year), and your birth cirtificate is issued by the United Nations. It would be more acurrate to say we are the beast.
Yes, true that. But what is said on a piece of paper is easily burned up in fire. What burns in the heart is the fire of truth. One is forever...the other just a sign on the road.
Thank you for speaking your truth.
What do you think about this crew?

Unfortunately, this will be a door to door campaign and unfortunately, what burns in the hearts and minds of most of the city folks I see these days is useless drivel. Get your tribe in order.
useless drivel is being way too kind... the cities are nothing but rotting infestations
If they pass this bill...every internet provider will lose half their customers in one day.
Meanwhile, in the haze of scammery, the lightning shows go on. Here come more pictures that deserve some analysis.

Does that cup have red in it? And where is the gushing blood from this fresh wound? Even if it were instantly cauterized, it would still be spurting blood would it not? And why does he look so calm? Does he not feel any pain?

Some are saying this looks like red paint. You decide, but first check this report out before making up your mind.

Ever since this thing happened with the Globe reporters all ready to capture the whole story because of the foreknowledge they had, it has had a certain Disneyland feel to it all. As it unfolds, the details are like those at sandy hook. Full of holes that makes one scratch the head and wonder, why do these babylonians keep doing these false flag events, when everybody knows what they are for, and what they are covering up.

(the babylonians have taken down the cool Everybody Knows song)(here's an invite for someone to do another good one!)
We are approaching dangerous waters people. All hands on deck, and watchers to your stations!
God bless America.
they took down leonard cohen? THIS SHALL NOT STAND!!!!!!!!!!
Everybody nose !!
Could explain why they were announcing that it was just a drill before the "incident"
I'll play along, Is it just me or does the women pushing the wheelchair look like the asian actor in that show my wife likes.
The Corpocrats get what the Corpocrats want - eventually.
If you want Constitutional Republic you must end Corpocracy.
To end Corpocracy you must firewall corporations away from every aspect of government, journalism, education, and politics.
This is how:
28th Amendment (The Constitutional Emergency Amendment)
Corporations are not persons and shall be granted only those rights and privileges that Congress deems necessary for the well-being of the People. Congress shall provide legislation defining the terms and conditions of corporate charters according to their purpose; which shall include, but are not limited to:
1, prohibitions against any corporation;
a, owning another corporation,
b, becoming economically indispensable or monopolistic, or
c, otherwise distorting the general economy;
2, prohibitions against any form of intervention in the affairs of government by means of;
a, congressional lobbying
b, electoral sponsorship or advocacy
c, educational sponsorship or publication
d, media news reporting
3, provisions for;
a, the auditing of standardized, current, and transparent account books
b, closing the FRB and the establishment of state-owned banks
c, civil and criminal penalties to be suffered by corporate executives et al for violation of the terms of a corporate charter.
How about a 29th? :
The 16th Amendment to the United States Constitution is hereby repealed and Congress shall re-write the U.S. Code to reflect the changes embodied herein.
"This is how:
28th Amendment (The Constitutional Emergency Amendment)"
No, it's much, MUCH simpler than that as covered in the outstanding book on the subject, "Unequal Protection: The Rise of Corporate Dominance and the Theft of Human Rights." It would still take an Amendment, but all it would have to say is something like "all references to people, persons, individuals... in this document refer to natural persons only." That makes the entire Constitution not applicable to artificial persons like corporations.
My intent is to make this amendment retroactive and mandate that Congress *act* on it. You're correct, but the horse is out of the barn already and I don't think revoking personhood, alone, will establish a cultural taboo regarding conflicts of interest between business and government. This revolving-door corpocracy has been institutionalized to the point that certain limits have now to be enumerated in no uncertain terms.
And its INTENT needs to be understood by every voter, politician, and businessman in America to carry dire consequences . How draconian the terms of a corporate charter might become will depend on the People's representatives to determine; one business, or one business model, at a time.
Before 1886, this is the way corporations were required to behave in this country, and it's time to make them start behaving this way again:
1. Corporations’ licenses to do business were revocable by state legislatures if they exceeded or did not fulfill their chartered purposes.
2. The state legislature could revoke a corporation's charter if it misbehaved
3. The act of incorporation did not relieve corporate management or stockholders/owners of responsibility or liability for corporate acts.
4. As a matter of course, corporation officers, directors or agents couldn't break the law and avoid punishment by claiming they were "just doing their job" when committing but instead could be held criminally liable for their crimes.
5. State, not federal courts heard cases where corporations or their agents were accused of breaking the law or harming the public.
6. Directors of corporations were required to come from among their stockholders.
7. Corporations had to have their headquarters and meetings in the state where their principle place of business was located.
8. Corporation charters were granted for a specific period of time, like 20 or 30 years instead of being granted "in perpetuity" as is now the practice.
9. Corporations were prohibited from owning stock in other corporations in order to prevent them form extending their power inappropriately.
10. Corporations' real estate holdings were limited to what was necessary to carry out their specific purposes.
11. Corporations were prohibited from making any political contributions, directly or indirectly.
12. Corporations were prohibited from making charitable or civic donations outside of their specific purpose.
13. State legislatures could set the rates that monopoly corporations could charge for their products or services.
14. All corporation records and documents were open to the legislature or the state attorney general.
Simple Solution: Revoke thier Charter and Life Time Ban of the Global Criminal Cabal (Bankster/Intelligence) Crime Syndicate.
Step Two: Mass Arrest. Starting simultanously at the City of London, Wall Street and Vatican.
"Simple Solution: Revoke thier Charter and Life Time Ban of the Global Criminal Cabal (Bankster/Intelligence) Crime Syndicate. "
Why not just repeal corporation laws entirely?
Those sound exactly like the very wise limitations on corporate charters discussed in a chapter of the outstanding book on the subject, "Unequal Protection: The Rise of Corporate Dominance and the Theft of Human Rights," the chapter where historical limits on corporations were discussed.
I think, instead of the raging bull that sybolizes Wall Street, we should commision a 300 foot tall statue of Phillip the Fair to stand in its place......as a reminder ;<)
Phillip the Fair? Was he like Nero or Caligula?
He was to the Templars. Ask Jacques de Molay.
Then again, the Templars were in some sense the banksters of that time. And their descendents founded Masonry. Long strange trip.
Maybe Philip the Fair was in some respects like Andrew Jackson.
I'm already regretting the use of Phillip IV as an analogy for sovereigns' responsibility to control the power of the Church and other international corporations that might threaten the economic welfare of individual nations. It's an intersting story however and I recommend at least reading the Wiki article on those events, especially the Friday the Thirteenth part. I think the cabal of international corporations today is far more dangerous to individual freedoms than the Templars ever were. They had the same potential to build a financial empire however and I wonder what our history would have been had the Templars suceeded in putting all of Europe in debt. I think their downfall was a failure to find military backing on a large enough scale . If they'd had Napolean's army we probably all would be speaking French now. Imagine that.
@ decentrailizesc...,

Your anwer is hidden through deception/illusionn in your response. Classic intelligence. Commitee of 300. Which perhaps Mossad anwers to. Another Convient MI6 Creation.
Huh?
Starve the Beast, quite being the chump consumer, live frugal, pay cash only.
That is the only way
It's actually common sense to live according to something that more closely resembles SUSTAINABILITY! (sorry for shouting)
Best book title (of the books I have, but maybe of any that I don't have): "Want what you have."
Yeah that'll work... oh wait, they got over that with "bailouts". Corporations don't need consumers anymore... as is evident by shuffling most of the american popluation into a state of poverty. Starving the beast may shrink it a bit, but fundamental change or reversion to some semblance of law is needed to return prosperity to ordinary people.
+10
fucking finally ... someone nailed it. Forget demonstrations and raising hell (all you are doing is exposing yourselves to the guv. hooligans and enriching those to be harmed financially). Instead, cut the cable to basic service, if that, prepare your own damn meals with fresh ingredients you know where they came from, refuse to fall for the bullshit marketing campaigns promoting crap which unless you and yours own a given widget your lives will never be the same, etc etc. We really need so little to live comfortably.
"contact Google, Facebook and Twitter"
Ya private "for profit" surveillance and tracking & logging is much better than govt surveillance
Obama has promised to veto. All is well.

"It's Busch's Fault", awk awk awk!
I intend to use my passport while I can. Welcome to Gestopo merica. --ha-ha the land of the free and the brave. I stand in utter awe and outrage at what has been allowed to happen to this once proud nation. Yuppies---try guppies. Milestones.
A lot of folks think that using their passport will save them.... or moving their precious metals to an overseas bank vault will save 'em, or just buying another gun will protect them from this evil we are seeing materialize eveywhere. While some of those things may help, there propably is no better place than the USA. I'm not talking about the big urban regions like on the coasts.... I am talking about backwater Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, etc.... where people know you and have the same values. Privacy in the urban areas is going away, just like the book "1984".... but enslavement is coming to the urban areas.... You'll be better off to have a job that pays 1/2 of the N.Y. or L.A. job, that has 1/2 this living costs. However it takes time to unwind your big city positions and it is likely too late for most to escape. & BTW, don't think you're coming to my place to hide out with your GOOD bag until the storm quiets down.... it's gonna be too long....
I once shopped around in East Tennessee for some property, but it didn't pan out. I'm FAR from there and am fairly happy with how it's all working out. As I once told a (then) rabid atheist friend of mine, when things get REAL bad folks won't have the time to be engaging in stupid shit, and I don't care what someone "believes" if they actually get down to doing the things that matter: and as with all extreme things, I drifted away from this person, not because he was an atheist, but because he was rabid [I have friends that run from A to Z; ALL of them have ONE trait I appreciate- they are true to their words, no hypocrites- I can deal with anyone but a hypocrite (without fear of landing in jail!)]).
"Alexis Ohanian also urges us to contact Google, Facebook and Twitter and demand that they stand up to defeat CISPA:"
isn't that a bit like asking Goebbels to go easy on the jews?
Red Team, Blue Team. Ping Pong...
Fuck You, all you PARTY PUSSIES out there!
“CISPA would trample the privacy and consumer rights of our citizens while leaving our critical infrastructure vulnerable,” an administration official said Thursday in response to Boehner. “We need Congress to address this critical national and economic security challenge while respecting the values of freedom, privacy, openness and innovation so fundamental to our nation.”
Rep. Ron Paul, the Texas Republican and presidential candidate, warned on April 23 that CISPA represents the "latest assault on Internet freedom" and was "Big Brother writ large."
strange bedfellows.

wait, look over there, it's the 2nd amendment!
"They're coming to take away your guns!"
"Gun violence must be stopped!"
Boo Hiss Boo Hiss
(meanwhile, in the back corner without anyone watching, the 1st & 4th just get whacked in the knees on the 3rd attempt.)
on some level, you have to admire the sick twisted genius of it all...but not really...
If they hate us for our freedoms the entire world must now love Amerika.
Thanks, you POS Congress.
I guess we will soon turn back to SW radio for foreign reports on local news.
Not that I believe they will be better reported but that it'll be the only source since locals will be gagged with NSLs if not dragged into camps.
Man, the good old days of the internet seem so long ago. 15 second news clips didn't come after THIRTY second commercials, websites didn't mine your buying activity then bombard you with similar ads, Youtube was commercial free, you could share files easily and with no worry at all, you could play online poker at will, ahhhh.
Just like everything else, the internet got all fux0red up.
Time to unplug from the beast. Staying in touch is over rated.
That's what they want, they will not get it though.
To many people addicted to Celeb to give up the interweb just because your Goverment records everything you do.
Ahem, it's THEIR infrastructure. Further, all this infrastructure is NOT sustainable. Ever wonder whether this is all reverse psychology meant to have us begging for all of it? (we'll do whatever to ensure that we have that which can be used to enslave us- brilliant!)
Interesting observation. Can I have my smart phone, please?
