Boston Terror Narrative Starts Falling Apart
We have no idea whether or not the Chechen brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were the Boston terrorists.
But several parts of the official narrative are already falling apart.
Initially, the claim that they robbed a 7-11 is totally false. USA Today reported on April 19th:
There was a 7-Eleven robbery in Cambridge last night, but it had nothing to do with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.
Margaret Chabris, the director of corporate communication at 7- Eleven, says the surveillance video of the crime was not taken at a 7-Eleven and that the suspect that did rob the 7-Eleven does not look like Tamerlan or Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
"The suspect in the photos for that particular 7-Eleven robbery looks nothing like the suspects," Chabris says. "The police or someone made a mistake. Someone was confused."

At an earlier press conference morning, when [State Police Superintendent Timothy Alban] described the manhunt and standoff that resulted in the death of an MIT police officer, he also said that the two brothers robbed a 7-Eleven.
Moreover, the FBI initially denied ever having spoken with either of the brothers. But CBS news notes:
The FBI admitted Friday they interviewed the now-deceased Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev two years ago and failed to find any incriminating information about him.
Other oddities include the following:
- According to the head cross country coach at the University of Mobile - a marathon runner who has run in numerous big races - bomb-sniffing dogs and a bomb squad inspected the runners ... and authorities repeatedly announced over the loudspeaker that they were conducting drills. This occurred at the start of the Boston marathon. He believes that authorities must have had credible evidence of a bomb threat
- Neoconservatives provided substantial support to terrorists in Chechnya
- Chechens have previously been framed (by the Russians) for terrorist acts which they probably didn't commit
Again, they might be guilty. But as Glenn Greenwald notes:
The overarching principle here should be that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is entitled to a presumption of innocence until he is actually proven guilty. As so many cases have proven - from accused (but exonerated) anthrax attacker Stephen Hatfill to accused (but exonerated) Atlanta Olympic bomber Richard Jewell to dozens if not hundreds of Guantanamo detainees accused of being the "worst of the worst" but who were guilty of nothing - people who appear to be guilty based on government accusations and trials-by-media are often completely innocent. Media-presented evidence is no substitute for due process and an adversarial trial.
Indeed, the FBI said it was sure that Bruce Ivins was the anthrax killer (after falsely accusing 2 other people of being the culprits).
However, the National Academy of Science found that the FBI failed to prove its case.
Note: Media said that the door-to-door searches conducted in Watertown were voluntary. However - whether or not you agree with the need to do so - the searches were not always exactly voluntary.

I don't understand you at all Chindit. We're all seeing and hearing the same things, yet the gulf between opinions are too huge to be explainable.
You know what? I genuinely want to see video footage of the suspects planting the bombs. I genuinely want to see footage of the 19yr old kid with the unpronounceable name return fire while he hid in that boat. But none exist. Instead, I saw with my own eyes the kid climb out to give himself up after the police peppered the boat with live rounds and stun grenades. Yet according to the hospital report he had been shot in the head and neck, which could only have happened after he had been cuffed en route to the hospital. That's logical, right?
Regardless of the absurd and dangerous suspension of the rule of law in the "lockdown" of Boston, and the most basic tenet of the judicial system - the presumption of innocence, I still want to see all the evidence proving their guilt because no matter what my suspicions, in my heart I want to be wrong about my conspiracy theories. I want to be wrong because the alternative is just too awful to contemplate: War and/or Dystopia.
War is, for want of a better word, evil. People who are far more eloquent have warned every generation about the utter stupid waste of slaughtering fellow human beings wholesale. Yet, once again we're being led to war with lies, hate, and the exact same tricks that was used for the invasion of Iraq. Last time it was WMD and Iraq. This time its Al Queda and Iran. I thought everyone On the planet knew already that Al Queda was created by Western intelligence to fight the Russians in Afghanistan and called itself the Mujahedeen at inception.
What I see every day in the financial forums is signalling the end of the reserve currency. From record demands in gold and deliberate suppression of its price by manipulation, to BRIC/ASEAN nations and others in Europe bypassing the USD with trade/currency agreements. The last ditch efforts of creating untenable amounts of debt to force liquidity into the insolvent banks to prop up large cap multinationals, the runaway levels of unemployment, the bread and circuses farce of entitlement culture, the creditors of the sovereign debt who are unable themselves to take more. The list is substantial and a telling indictment of complete failure on all fronts.
We simply cannot allow the powers that be, whoever they are, to get away with another war that will wipe out another generation of young people if we're lucky, or if we're not, wipe us all out to leave just the cockroaches -insect and human - on this once beautiful place. That's why I find GW's efforts as important, and sometimes more valuable than many other articles on this site.

Note that it has been the TV talking heads who have tried the suspects, and it was the TV talking heads who provided most of the "news" that others now attribute to TPTB. If you've ever been near a situation such as this, you know the media is hungry for comment even when things are still confusing, and they know anyone even peripherally associated with the investigation or handling of the event is anxious to portray himself as integral to the case and loaded with insider knowledge. That is the real reason the narrative changes with time. More knowledgable people eventually talk to the media.
You might also notice that even Obama (of whom I am no fan) cautioned not to jump to conclusions nor to use this incident to blame any particular religion or ethnic group. We can be thankful, I suppose, that Bush and the Neocons are no longer in the seat of power.

That non-Afghans came from the Arab world to take up the fight against the Soviets is unrelated to the Paki-Saudi-Jordanian-US support of the Afghan Mujahideen. Some elements of the Mujahideen went on to become the Taliban, which shows the original proponents of the aid plan hadn't thought everything through and were too caught up in the Cold War mentality to see possible repercussions. Elements of the Arab fighters, who were not aided by that not-so-covert grouping of nations, went on to become al Qaeda. Support for the Arab fighters came from folks like bin Laden, who had inherited money from his family, and from other Saudi well-to-do businessmen who held a rather fanatical view of Islam. The Arab fighters did not engage in all that much battle, but the coming together of many like-minded religionists created the critical mass that led to the formation of al Qaeda. Some of those involved in the Mujahideen effort (e.g., Gust Avrakatos, Mike Vickers) warned that the Arab fighters, who had not come to defend Afghanistan, but to "defend" Islam, were morphing into something sinister. The Administration ignored the warnings.

Thank you. I defer to experts on this topic of the origins of Al Queda and its current connections with our allies, the Saudis. I do maintain that the inception of this group, and therefore its motivations in the present day lie with Western intelligence which sits in agreement with the statements made by our late foreign secretary, Robin Cook. And of course the statements made by the former CIA station chief to Pakistan, Milt Bearden, who described Bin Laden as a great help to finance. But I am always willing to learn to put things in context.
I am still not quite sure where the venom against GW is coming from. There is a huge disparity between what we can see with our own eyes and what we are being told by the government and the msm. I think GW fits that gap rather well with his articles, after all our favourite pastime here is pointing out the absurdities in various government financial/economic reports that do not tally with observation.
The philologists and behavioural scientists among us must have loud alarm bells ringing by now after hearing the key words, WMD, Al Queda, and terror, being used again in repetition with Iran and Russia this time. Despite my sometimes wild theories, I am quite a reasonable person outside my ZH persona, and one of the things I found batshit crazy (as you put it, no offence to you) is the government prosecutors using the acronym WMD, "Weapon of Mass Destruction", to describe what is essentially a small home made device constructed with kitchenware. That is not the press making an absurd mistake - one of many in this horrible fiasco. That is the government doing it all by themselves with deliberate intent.
I really don't want to fight anyone or be rude for their views right now. I think it's far more important to find any peaceful means possible to stop the next war from forming in the public consciousness, and I applaud GW for doing his best to inform us.

There are many people who care about genuine problems and injustices in our economy, political and financial systems, who hope for a truly formidible thorn in the side of the powers that be, but when they come to Zerohedge now and see the sort of crowd it attracts, feel the site's useful message has been compromised. The younger brother was filmed LEAVING with his back-pack, which by the way was not the same color as the one that exploded.
In addition, the older brothers back-pack was not the same color, and therefore NOT the one that exploded.
On the other hand we have what look like under-cover special-ops people (at least one) with the exact same back-packs, as the one they have that exploded, leaving without them. A noticeable white insignia patch on the special-ops back-packs exactly matches the blown up back-pack. Neither of the brothers back-packs had this insignia patch.
The authorities said they wanted the younger brother taken alive, yet they were filmed, across the water, without them knowing it, pumping hundreds of rounds (not rubber bullets) into the boat that he was in.
They say he fired at them but the films do not show this, only the firing squad flashes from their weapons, which had high-cap magazines, which they reloaded and kept firing. The boat looks like a sieve.
By some miracle he emerged and got out of the boat under his own power, also filmed, but then needed an emergency tracheotomy, now he can't talk. Although the pictures from the scene don't show the massive hole he supposedly blasted through his mouth when he tried to kill himself.
If that isn't enough, the first suspect they caught, earlier in the week, was suddenly released, got high-level handling, and given an emergency passport (at the highest levels) and shipped out of the country.
All-in-all, great work by the authorities in establishing wide-spread trust throughout America and the world for their work, with accuracy on the story, and in doing what they said they would do in capturing him alive. Don't you feel better and safer now, knowing our government is protecting us from evil? I sure do.

I have found that many links with good 9/11 information have disappeared from YouTube too, as that video in your link explicitly complains about happening. This Boston bombing story reminds me of the 9/11 story, in that, the more I look at the available information, the more convinced I become that the official story MUST be bullshit, because it is way too full of contradictions! That is why I was not able to continue to ignore that story, which is what I would personally prefer to do.
I WISH that when I investigated futher, I found that the official story made sense! The more I have to do it, the more I dislike having to face the magnitude of triumphant evils which have taken control of the government of the USA!

I WISH that I could rewind my life back to when I was younger, and more able to still be somewhat optimistic and idealistic. However, pessimists have the evidence on their side, while only irrational hopes could be optimistic. Originally, I tried to ignore the events that transpired on 9/11 back in 2001 ... And when these Boston bombings happened, I also hoped to try to ignore that too ... However, eventually I found it impossible to ignore those things ... AFTER I started looking, I became fascinated by attempting to figure out what could possibly be the truth ... The only thing I was sure of was that the official stories were full of contradictions, and therefore, they could not possibly be the truth. Indeed, with respect to the events on 9/11/2001 the official story was full of blatantly absurd contradictions, which required me to ignore the laws of physics, and common sense about the substance steel, as in the astonishing collapse of 3 steel frame buildings on that day!
The more I LOOKED, the worse that got. Indeed, one of my maxims these days is that: The more one learns about politics, the worse it gets. Reasonable folks wonder but do not understand the reasons for the absurd Congressional overspending beyond federal tax revenues. Thanks for the excellent comment. I to find it hard to be optimistic knowing what I now know. In my early years as a broker, I remember talking with my regional manager, we went out for lunch, and I was saying to him, as a broker my goal was to make my clients a lot of money.
I remember him looking at me as though I was some kind of race species that no one had seen in a long time, a smile came over his face, he knew I was being completely sincere. That registered with me.
He said, look, you don't need to make them to much or lose them to much and you'll be O.K.
He was a guy that really used to be an idealist, like me, but had been in the system to long and hadn't seen this aspect of himself in his earlier years for some time.

I'm not to sure having faith in faith is an altogether admirable attribute. Currently listening to a series on "Renewing Your Mind" regarding 'reasons to not reason' have been convincing me of the need to prove my Christian faith. Realizing faith is actually substantial and not a pie in the sky value, something akin to a Ben initiated frn, has me thinking death truly has no sting, nor the grave a victory.
