Boston Bombers On Terrorist Watch Lists … Russia Contacted U.S. MULTIPLE TIMES Regarding Bombers

George Washington's picture

The Boston Globe reports:

Russian authorities alerted the US government not once but ``multiple’’ times over their concerns about Tamerlan Tsarnaev -- including a second time nearly a year after he was first interviewed by FBI agents in Boston -- raising new questions about whether the FBI should have focused more attention on the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, according to US senators briefed on the probe Tuesday.

***

In a closed briefing on Tuesday, members of the Senate Intelligence Committee learned that Russia alerted the United States about Tsarnaev in ``multiple contacts’’ -- including ``at least once since October 2011,’’ said Richard Burr, a Republican of North Carolina, speaking with reporters afterward.

Senators said the briefing also revealed failures among federal agencies to share vital information about Tsarnaev, indicating, they said, that the US government still has not established a strong system to ``connect the dots’’ about would-be terrorists residing in America more than a decade after 9/11.

Similarly, foreign governments repeatedly warned the U.S. before 9/11.  The chair of the 9/11 Commission said that the attack was preventable.  It is thoroughly-documented that an attack such as 9/11 was entirely foreseeable.  Specifically, Al Qaeda flying planes into the World Trade Center and Pentagon was something which American military and intelligence services – and our allies – .

Several key employees for the defense department say that the government covered up their testimony about tracking lead hijacker Mohammed Atta before 9/11.

Reuters notes:

The name of one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was listed on the U.S. government's highly classified central database of people it views as potential terrorists.

***

Another list, the Terrorist Screening Database, is a declassified version of the highly classified TIDE with fewer details about terrorist suspects. One source said Tsarnaev was on this list, too.

After being put in the TIDE system, his name was entered in another database, this one maintained by the Homeland Security Department's Customs and Border Protection bureau which is used to screen people crossing U.S. land borders and entering at airports or by sea.

Moreover, Senator Saxby Chambliss - who served on the United States House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and chaired the House Intelligence Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security - told Channel 2 Action News from Atlanta that a law enforcement agency may have had information in advance of the Boston bombings that wasn't properly shared.

"There now appears that may have been some evidence that was obtained by one of the law enforcement agencies that did not get shared in a way that it could have been," Chambliss said.

(Was the evidence the reason why the bomb squad, bomb-sniffing dogs and a "drill" were present at the starting line of the Boston marathon?)

The Bush and Obama administrations implemented hardly any of the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission.

Both the Bush and Obama administrations have slashed funding for programs which would actually help prevent terror attacks.

Why have we lost our rights in the new "post-9/11 world" if the government can't keep us safe?

Trillions of dollars - and thousands of American lives - have been squandered on boondoggles and pork.

What the heck are we doing?

This refers to the 1993 WTC bombing...

Something extraordinary happened in the course of these arrests. The FBI had instructed Salem to use a tape recorder to entrap people. They got more than they bargained for, when it became apparent that Salem had also been taping his conversations with his FBI handlers. These incriminating tapes were among those entered into state’s evidence for the WTC II trial; they were not allowed to be used for the WTC I trial. Stunning exchanges from these tapes hit the New York Times, such as Salem asking his FBI handler Nancy Floyd and her boss John Anticev why the FBI provided real explosives for the WTC bomb rather than the agreed-on substitute. Their answers acknowledged that fact. The NYT published these conversations as samples of the tapes’ embarrassing accounts showing how the FBI did business. When the WTC I defendants tried to use these tapes to appeal their convictions, Judge Duffy rejected it on the grounds that their lawyers should have known about them.

Were the Boston Area hospitals filled with actors too?  For you Isreal buffs, one of the hospitals was Jewish and the doctors from Isreal.  One of the doctors said the number of trama cases were much like the terrorist trama cases in Isreal a few years back.  Oh well, it was on the Internet so it must be true.

WTF are we doing?  Certainly we know the answer.  We do what big business, especially the military-industrial complex and Wall St, wants us to do.  We don't do whatever might challenge the wealth or power of those in charge.  Being blown to bits leads to our loss of rights or freedom only because it makes them safer in their gated communities, high rises, and government offices.

Unfortunately, there are many problems with the government's narative. A few of them:

* FBI says two bombs were planted, in black backpacks. A photo of one of the backpack remains is published.

* FBI releases their 'video' they claim shows the two brothers arriving with backpacks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M80DXI932OE

Except it's not a video, it's faked up from a series of stills, and carefully arranged so you don't actually see the backpack worn by the second guy. Despite that one of the camera angles would have shown him walking away from the camera, so they definitely had pictures of his backpack. http://21stcenturywire.com/2013/04/19/why-did-fbi-fake-boston-bomber-sur...

* But... from the crowdsourced photos, it turns out the reason the FBI hid the second backpack, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's, is that his is a predominantly WHITE backpack. Oops! This one detail alone destroys the official narative. And that the FBI made such an effort to avoid showing his backpack in the faked-up 'video', shows they know this. In light of which, one must examine everything else for alternatives  to the official story.

* There were at least 8 guys on scene in similar uniforms, puffy black jackets and tan pants and boots, the 'black and tans', some wearing caps with the logo of Craft International, a mercenary paramilitary group. Most carrying bulky black backpacks that match the bomb remnant backpack photo. Some of them were photographed in the crowd very close to the bomb sites before the explosions. Right after, their black van with satellite coms dish pulls up directly across from the bomb site near the finish line, and they all gather round for a confab. Therefore they have official awareness and permission to be present. Then they leave. Not one sign of any of them offering any assistance. The MSM and FBI flatly refuse to mention the black and tans in any way.

* At least three other random guys can be traced in the crowdsourced photos, carrying backpacks that closely match the blown up one, who are seen to have put their backpacks down or been about to.

* There's some fairly convincing photo evidence suggesting at least some of the bombing victims were actors. Possibly including the 'blown off legs' guy, who may have been a military vet who lost his legs years ago.

* Of all the possible bomb-making materials that could have been used, it was black power or something similar. What a coincidence, and just when the government would like to ban the sale of ammunition reloading supplies, such as black power. The resulting bombs are relatively weak, producing injuries over just a few meters. If they'd used real explosives the kill/injury radius would have been far higher. Strange choice by bombers with supposed terrorist contacts and training.

* There were definitely official announcements early that day of an exercise being held, that would involve 'controlled explosions'.

Here's an alternative to the official story.
The bombing was carried out by elements of the government.
Purpose: ramping up the fear factor, distracting from other recent developments, and providing a pretext for new controls on ammunition reloading supplies.
Method: Same as the London bombings; hire a bunch of random guys (who happen to have backgrounds that make them believable patsies) to take part in 'an exercise.' Give them backpacks to place during the event, that they are told are just dummies. Have a team of professional minders in place, to deal with any glitches (such as someone trying to steal one of the placed backpacks). Possibly embellish the bombsite with some actors and fake blood.

And naturally, as with any complex production, there'll be a few screw-ups. Like one of the chosen patsies carrying the wrong colored backpack.

It's funny, because what you say isn't that far from any possible reality. Proof? We must look for that ourselves before this event is forgotten.

Boston Bombing – DHS Contracted Security out to Israelis »

- Our corporate media completely censored any mention of the huge security failure and the Israeli ties with Craft Security…

*****************************************************

Remember DHS was set-up by Chertoff, a connected Israeli, who benefited handsomely from the job, 9/11, and subsequent sale of Airport scanners afterwards. First they set-up 9/11 then we got stuck with DHS, Silverstein made billions on the double-indemnity insurance on WTC towers. They hit the trifecta.

And it continues with the Boston Marathon.

Long but well done.... Reminds me of a girl from Fight Club.

"Days of sage and responsible crisis management, teamwork, community outreach, overtime funding, sacrifice, and patriotism have paid off.

Except... not really.

In fact, not at all.

What has become the dominant narrative of the Boston Bombers investigation, pursuit, and capture is little more than a rank lie. It is a lie that conceals not just missteps, but what would, on reflection, be difficult to label as anything other than an overwrought, excessive, authoritarian police action that is primarily notable today for having demonstrated the absolutely peerless incompetence of the authorities in question.

Let us, just for a moment, take a step or two back.

The net result of the unprecedented city-wide lock-down was to bring to a grinding halt one of the largest and most economically significant cities in the United States. If the United States Department of Commerce is to be believed, the GDP of Boston is on the order of $300-$315 billion. In this respect it seems reasonable to assign a daily GDP to the city (and its surrounding areas) of something like $1 billion. It seems hard to escape the conclusion that, given the reaction of the authorities, for what probably didn't exceed a couple of thousand dollars, a community college drop-out and a failing sophomore at University of Massachusetts were permitted to cause more than a billion dollars in economic damage to the United States at large (and some substantial fraction of that to the "Cradle of Liberty.")

Given this sort of analysis one is caused to ask: "How many more such 'victories over terror' can the United States afford to win?"

But, expensive as they are, aren't these victories worth the cost? Well, perhaps. But unless you have some means to show that the costs are directly related to the victory it starts to become hard to justify them as necessary to the end goal. And in this case? To what extent were the decisive and leadership-imbued police actions in this case the proximate cause of this "victory over terror"? It takes almost no analysis at all to arrive at the conclusion: "Almost not at all." Consider:

All of the major ex ante efforts of the authorities were useless in this case. For instance:

- Despite repeated bomb sweeps before the event including the finish line area someone managed to deposit two powerful explosive devices right at the finish line.

- The diversion of traffic, security cordons, random sweeps with explosive sniffing dogs, and every other pre-race security provision were effectively useless.

- Despite having not a small bit of intelligence on the alleged bombers, and at least some warning from a foreign country that appears to have been Russia, no agency was engaged in anything proactive enough to deter or prevent the alleged bombers from completing their mission.

- The United States Immigration and Naturalization Service should simply be scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up.

All of the major contemporaneous security provisions were equally useless:

- Even a high degree of contemporaneous police presence at the Marathon (and particularly at the finish line) was effectively useless in preventing or deterring the bombers from planting and detonating their devices. First responders... aren't. Over and over again the key to effective response is almost always civilians at the scene, not police, firefighters, paramedics, or EMTs. Even in the case of a "public service rich" environment like the Boston Marathon's finish line the majority of assistance came first from civilians.

- At least in this context the "see something, say something" campaign and decades of "suspicious package" security education was apparently a waste of effort. Actually, it seems to have been a total waste of time overall. Really, if an ownerless backpack stuffed with a pressure cooker in the crowd at the Boston Marathon finish line isn't enough to sound alarm bells, nothing is.

With the except of medical and triage response after the bombings, ex post efforts were worse than useless. They contributed nothing to the search for and capture of the alleged bombers. Moreover, they were, in fact, devastatingly damaging.

- Effectively every key success leading up to the death of Tamerlan Tsarnaev and the capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was the result of actions by private persons and entities, not the authorities. To wit:

-- The photographs and video that permitted the FBI to post images of the primary suspects (and eventually identify them) so quickly were taken by a private security camera installed outside a merchant's location near the finish line.

-- Once the photos and video were released it was private citizens that contacted authorities to identify the suspects by name.

-- It was details provided by the victim of the car-jacking, and the fact that the victim indicated that his cellphone was still in the carjacked SUV that allowed police to locate the stolen SUV so quickly, and thus led the police to the SUV in Watertown, which, in turn, led to the two suspects.

-- Despite this lead and having the element of surprise, police closed in without backup and the suspects spooked. In the absence of either Tamerlan's poor ammunition management skills or a weapon malfunction both may well escaped before a cordon was established and one officer almost lost his life on the scene.

-- Once he had escaped Dzhokhar barely made it a mile before slipping into David Henneberry's boat, wounded. Apparently, he manages to evade the attentions of police for hours here, despite being in the midst of the "lock-down" and "door to door search" area. Good work team!

-- Only after the "Shelter in Place" non-order order is lifted does civilian David Henneberry see something out of place that police officers, who lacked the degree of personal affinity (dare we even say... "love"?) for his boat that Henneberry clearly possesses may well have missed.

Aside from being entirely unprecedented, such large scale lock-downs and door-to-door search campaigns are not particularly effective unless one is trying to round up undesirables en masse for future disposition. (Your papers please!)

Given the volume of frantic, indiscriminate fire laid down by the six officers confronting the Tsarnaevs in Watertown (by some estimates 300-400 rounds were fired) the greatest danger to civilians at that point appears to have been from the police."

An interesting article from Veterans Today:

Boston Bombing – DHS Contracted Security out to Israelis

Quote:

"What we have here once again is a profile of a security stand down. Could it be incompetence? No, not when you outsource to one of the biggest terrorist operations in the world… the one called Israel.

If you tried to do anything to turn this situation around you would be up against the vast majority of Congress as usual… people also are confused about their loyalty. They also are held in contempt in military Intel circles for betraying their country.

We have a photo of the bomber talking to a cohort in the blue sweatshirt top and red sneakers. He also was carrying a big backpack and is a suspect as the first bomber.

Our sources tell us he was picked up and is safely on his way home now. I will let you guess where.(Update: This turned out to be the Saudi with Royal connections to get him out quickly)"

and....

"Let me repeat in closing. There was no way that two kettle bombs could have been walked in, placed, and then the bombers get away, without a security penetration letting them do it."

and....

"The pressure cooker bomb is a large target to spot, not the little pipe bomb one might suspect to be used at such a gathering. They can be concealed under an arm or in the groin area. We spotted a suspect with the clear outline of one of these kettle bombs in his backpack. We have not a single report of a backpack search by any witness, photo or video evidence."

If the head of the FBI doesn't resign in disgrace over such incompetence then we can conclude they were instructed to ignore the warnings (aka LIHOP)

Mr.Huxley,  let me introduce you to Mr.Orwell.

The vast majority will never get it because man is not a rational animal; he is a rationalising one. There are people who would rather shoot the throat out of individuals who are trying to help them see reason than stop sucking the cocks of the powerful who are trying to enslave them. They would rather rip their own eyes out before seeing anything that offends their world view of a nation that exists for good.

There's nothing you or I can do but keep questioning, keep pointing out absurdities, and keep being indignant until that amorphous driver of human destiny called public consciousness turns in our favour. Thanks GW as always for your efforts on our behalf.

Very nice, thank you Y-F.

Sadly, the mass of the lemmings for slaughter will not wake until they have suffered long, and hard. Most will never understand the beast that took everything down as long as the drug, Television is on the air. The direction America is headed, is that change they all wanted so badly. What they refused to comprehend was the out right corruption that was lying and still lying to them every night in the church of TV. Little wonder people are fast turning off those evil weapons of mass destruction. As long as babylon controls the dispersion of the poisonous propaganda on LSM, the nation is pretty much toast.

I actually enjoy cartoons much more since I've woken up. Most people are so aflicted by the normalcy bias, that they judge those of us who see the world for what it is, as the "crazy ones". Now that I'm awake, I like to watch the "programming". It's also interesting to read the conspiracy theories, mainstream news and everything inbetween... in order to discern the truths from the lies.

There isn't some "master plan" guiding all the "elites"... but to pretend evil doesn't rise to the top of corrupt enterprises, places a lot of faith in flawed ideologies. I prefer to use logic and reason to judge situations, understand motives and seek answers. I trust people, but I also verify when things don't add up. WHEN did this become a bad thing?

Russia warns us multiple times, and what do we do?

Make him a citizen and give him welfare!

Will this have any effect on immigration policy? Probably not.

Why should it effect immigration policy if he was on the FBI's payroll?

and the USA has served Saudi interests ever since, but never more loyally as after 1973 when Saudi Arabia cut off the US 6th Fleet and showed how far the Us would have to dance for Saudi interests even to the point of fighting Saudi wars and sacrificing US Citizens for Saudi adventurism in the USA
