Everyone’s Talking about “False Flags … Isn’t that Another Bogus Historical Conspiracy Theory?

George Washington's picture

More people are using the term “false flag” than ever before.

Some claim that the Boston marathon bombing, 9/11 and the Oklahoma City bombing were false flag attacks.

Others claim that anyone who uses the phrase “false flag” is a nut conspiracy theorist.

This post does not discuss Boston, 9/11 or Oklahoma City.  It simply looks at whether there is any real historical concept regarding false flags.

What Is False Flag Terror?

“False flag terrorism” is defined as a government attacking its own people, then blaming others in order to justify going to war against the people it blames. Or as Wikipedia defines it:

False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one’s own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, and have been used in peace-time; for example, during Italy’s strategy of tension.

The term comes from the old days of wooden ships, when one ship would hang the flag of its enemy before attacking another ship in its own navy. Because the enemy’s flag, instead of the flag of the real country of the attacking ship, was hung, it was called a “false flag” attack.

Indeed, this concept is so well-accepted that rules of engagement for naval, air and land warfare all prohibit false flag attacks.

Leaders Throughout History Have Acknowledged False Flags

Leaders throughout history have acknowledged the danger of false flags:

“This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector.”
- Plato

“If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.”
- U.S. President James Madison

“Terrorism is the best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death”.
- Adolph Hitler

“Why of course the people don’t want war … But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship … Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
- Hermann Goering, Nazi leader.

“The easiest way to gain control of a population is to carry out acts of terror. [The public] will clamor for such laws if their personal security is threatened”.
- Josef Stalin

Governments from Around the World ADMIT that they Carry Out False Flag Terror

But don’t take our word for it.

Governments from around the world admit they carry out false flag terror:

  • A major with the Nazi SS admitted at the Nuremberg trials that – under orders from the chief of the Gestapo – he and some other Nazi operatives faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland. Nazi general Franz Halder also testified at the Nuremberg trials that Nazi leader Hermann Goering admitted to setting fire to the German parliament building, and then falsely blaming the communists for the arson
  • The CIA admits that it hired Iranians in the 1950′s to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its democratically-elected prime minister
  • Israel admits that an Israeli terrorist cell operating in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including U.S. diplomatic facilities, then left behind “evidence” implicating the Arabs as the culprits (one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to identify the bombers, and several of the Israelis later confessed) (and see this and this)
  • As admitted by the U.S. government, recently declassified documents show that in the 1960′s, the American Joint Chiefs of Staff signed off on a plan to blow up AMERICAN airplanes (using an elaborate plan involving the switching of airplanes), and also to commit terrorist acts on American soil, and then to blame it on the Cubans in order to justify an invasion of Cuba. See the following ABC news report; the official documents; and watch this interview with the former Washington Investigative Producer for ABC’s World News Tonight with Peter Jennings.
  • 2 years before, American Senator George Smathers had suggested that the U.S. make “a false attack made on Guantanamo Bay which would give us the excuse of actually fomenting a fight which would then give us the excuse to go in and [overthrow Castro]“.
  • And Official State Department documents show that – only nine months before the Joint Chiefs of Staff plan was proposed – the head of the Joint Chiefs and other high-level officials discussed blowing up a consulate in the Dominican Republic in order to justify an invasion of that country. The 3 plans were not carried out, but they were all discussed as serious proposals
  • The South African Truth and Reconciliation Council found that, in 1989, the Civil Cooperation Bureau (a covert branch of the South African Defense Force) approached an explosives expert and asked him “to participate in an operation aimed at discrediting the ANC [the African National Congress] by bombing the police vehicle of the investigating officer into the murder incident”, thus framing the ANC for the bombing
  • An Algerian diplomat and several officers in the Algerian army admit that, in the 1990s, the Algerian army frequently massacred Algerian civilians and then blamed Islamic militants for the killings (and see this video; and Agence France-Presse, 9/27/2002, French Court Dismisses Algerian Defamation Suit Against Author)
  • Senior Russian Senior military and intelligence officers admit that the KGB blew up Russian apartment buildings and falsely blamed it on Chechens, in order to justify an invasion of Chechnya (and see this report and this discussion)
  • According to the Washington Post, Indonesian police admit that the Indonesian military killed American teachers in Papua in 2002 and blamed the murders on a Papuan separatist group in order to get that group listed as a terrorist organization.
  • The well-respected former Indonesian president also admits that the government probably had a role in the Bali bombings
  • As reported by BBC, the New York Times, and Associated Press, Macedonian officials admit that the government murdered 7 innocent immigrants in cold blood and pretended that they were Al Qaeda soldiers attempting to assassinate Macedonian police, in order to join the “war on terror”.
  • Former Department of Justice lawyer John Yoo suggested in 2005 that the US should go on the offensive against al-Qaeda, having “our intelligence agencies create a false terrorist organization. It could have its own websites, recruitment centers, training camps, and fundraising operations. It could launch fake terrorist operations and claim credit for real terrorist strikes, helping to sow confusion within al-Qaeda’s ranks, causing operatives to doubt others’ identities and to question the validity of communications.”
  • United Press International reported in June 2005:

U.S. intelligence officers are reporting that some of the insurgents in Iraq are using recent-model Beretta 92 pistols, but the pistols seem to have had their serial numbers erased. The numbers do not appear to have been physically removed; the pistols seem to have come off a production line without any serial numbers. Analysts suggest the lack of serial numbers indicates that the weapons were intended for intelligence operations or terrorist cells with substantial government backing. Analysts speculate that these guns are probably from either Mossad or the CIA. Analysts speculate that agent provocateurs may be using the untraceable weapons even as U.S. authorities use insurgent attacks against civilians as evidence of the illegitimacy of the resistance.

  • Quebec police admitted that, in 2007, thugs carrying rocks to a peaceful protest were actually undercover Quebec police officers
  • At the G20 protests in London in 2009, a British member of parliament saw plain clothes police officers attempting to incite the crowd to violence
  • A Colombian army colonel has admitted that his unit murdered 57 civilians, then dressed them in uniforms and claimed they were rebels killed in combat
  • U.S. soldiers have admitted that if they kill innocent Iraqis and Afghanis, they then “drop” automatic weapons near their body so they can pretend they were militants

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is that governments from around the world have – according to their own admissions – carried out false flags.

Any discussion about a specific terrorist attack cannot start with the assumption that it couldn’t be a false flag attack, or that it must be a false flag attack.

The facts of each attack must be examined on their own merits before reaching any conclusion.

Is it the ague of the age to be proud of one's ignorance and stupidity. To be socially acceptable is to be incapable of building models of government corruption.

When something blows up in America you should call the FBI.....and ask them who they gave the explosives to.

Why would anyone need to get explosives from the FBI?

Anyone with a pickup truck, bolt cutters and a shovel could have gone through a back gate in Camp Minden, Louisiana the last year and loaded up on all the M6 propellant they wanted. Explo Systems ran out of storage and left pallets of it sitting around outside. 10 million pounds of it, give or take.

http://news.yahoo.com/docs-la-firm-overstated-storage-003457899.html

I assumed (stupid me) that ammonium nitrate was licensed and regulated like an explosive nowdays. Heavily guarded, razor-wire enclosures in controlled access areas. Apparently not in Texas. The state can't even figure out who's in charge of ensuring safe handling. West Fertilizer didn't just leave it out in the open like Explo, but the place didn't look like much of an impenitrable fortress and only had a few employees.

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/west-explosion/headlines/20130423-why-didn-t-2400-tons-of-ammonium-nitrate-at-west-plant-raise-concerns.ece?ssimg=983837#ssStory983838

Phantom Fireworks says the two "Lock and Load" mortar kits Tamerlan Tsarnaev bought in February were not powerful enough to have caused the explosions. It would have taken 30 or 40. Fireworks (sales?) are not legal in MA - you have to drive to NH. I'm sure there's loads of firework mega-warehouse emporiums just over the state line.

Enjoy your life akak.  I hope you find all the misery you need to get through each day.  A rational man might think there is enough actual misery and enough problems in the world without manufacturing more, but in these New Dark Ages, the rational man would be wrong.

Perhaps someday you and your ilk will actually summon the courage to do something about all these conspiracies and machinations you believe are real.  All George does is write about them, and all the rest of you just vent.  I've offered to pay for Boston vacations for those of you who are certain the bombings were staged events and the "injured" merely actors.  I'll even toss in Sandy Hook.  The only thing I ask is that those who accept must visit the "stage actors" and their families and confront them with the proof.  I will arrange to have all this be a media event, and of course since we know those who are standing up for what they believe are proud of their "awakeness", full names and addresses will be provided so that those "woken up" by the revelations can come and thank the truth tellers personally.

Zerohedge has outlived its usefulness, other than to provide shadows for those afraid of the dark.  It could have been something special, and could have contributed to righting some actual wrongs in the system.  It seems that instead of pursuing and illuminating actual crimes and corruption, Tyler has chosen another path.  That's his perogative, though it is disappointing.  He has such talent, but that talent goes to waste.  More and more the site is becoming a bit of a laughing stock, which only serves to protect those who truly have worked the system to their gain and everyone else' detriment.

Perhaps one day you will actually awaken.  Perhaps not.  Do I believe you are wrong in a good number of your beliefs?  No, I absolutely know you are wrong, but as aerojet reminded the other day, one cannot prove a negative.  Maybe being aware is one of the benefits my "Illuminati Membership Card" affords me, other than great times at Bohemian Grove, Davos, and the various Bilderberg gatherings.

For the record, the actual false flags since 1950 can be counted on one hand, with fingers to spare.  That is reality.  What seems to stoke your passion is merely delusion, but if that is what it takes to give your life meaning, enjoy.

"No, I absolutely know you are wrong, but as aerojet reminded the other day, one cannot prove a negative."

This to me seems striking. If there is one thing I have learned in my life it is that you shall never ever believe in absolutes. You must always keep an open and rational mind. Buying into what "he or she says", what is written or shown in media or what is told by authorities and government is a dangerous mindset. The rational and free mind should always weigh the explanations and circumstances given.

Right after the Japanese tsunami and the Fukushima disaster started making headlines I had a very heated argument with a friend. The reason as I remember it was that the Japanese ambassador in Norway was out saying Norwegian media was hyping and sensasionalizing the event. According to him the Fukushima event was contained and under controll. I said to my friend just watch how this develops. These guys dont have control, they are just trying to manage the media and public fear of a disaster. He was absolutely adamant that we had to trust the government and "who better knows the facts?". We talked almost daily about this and sure enough, the rest is history.

Conspiracies abound, big and small in all kinds of manners. Be it in private business management or government. There is no lack of sociopaths or psycopaths willing to do incredibly evil deeds to further their own agenda. If you choose to ignore this, then that is your choice. For some, ignorance is bliss.

EDIT: I missed this little gem "For the record, the actual false flags since 1950 can be counted on one hand, with fingers to spare.  That is reality.  What seems to stoke your passion is merely delusion, but if that is what it takes to give your life meaning, enjoy."

Sorry to burst into that bubble of ignorance, but you should read up on Operation Gladio. You'll need a couple of hands at least just for that.

Small conspiracies abound.  The problem is that in an era "science" "evolution" "artficial intelligence" many supposedly advanced or reasoned people cannot grasp that institutions are people (often with a hideous Frankenstein-like assemblage), they are alive, they have memory, they evolve, and they interract with and react to their surroundings.

People need to attach names, faces, and mythologies to their FEARS.  This is nothing new, and this has been going on since before Marcus Aurelius was tinkering with the money supply to simultaneously finance overseas wars and the Roman bread & circus- first removing 21 grams of silver from the denarius and then adding 20 grams of silver to the denarius.

Marcus's fellow Romans had a fear of the lightning that struck upon them down during storms, and attached the name, face, and intricate mythology of Jupiter to explain the phenomenon, instead of trying to understand the complex interactions of weather that actually resulted in their terror and how best to protect themselves (at least until Franklin showed up).

Modern man isn't really any more sophisticated in the names, faces, and mythologies that it attaches to the fears it has because of the terror striking down from the rather unromantic Frankenfreak banking and government monstrosities it has constructed.

It's not THE MAN, it's THE SYSTEM...

the first thing out of Rumsfeld's mouth that day was to connect it. Then there's PNAC...and the Supreme Court denying access to the oil meeting records...and the fact that IRAQ is the last significant untapped source of the truly sweet crude...and......

but my favorite words surrounding the whole day was the congressional testimony (from a respected department head) about the young secret service kid asking Cheney, as the plane approached the most "protected" building in the world "do the orders still stand sir?" My second favorite quote is the towers' owner admitting on video, when asked about tower 7, that he decided "to pull it." (it had nothing to do with his one of a kind insurance policy) My third favorite is the BCC announcing tower 7 was down fifteen minutes before it was.  By the way, the BBC claims ( a common theme here) that they "lost" that footage. Once again, the internet throws a monkey wrench into the powers that be by capturing and publishing the footage. I will bet you that one day they will tell us the have "lost" all the various pentagon area camera footage that they capturered immediately and have never released to shut all us tinfoil types up.

I think his second most memorable quote was:

"You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect my dick to my mouth.....now how do you suppose I could do that, Katie?"

Speaking of false things some debunking and more questions.

First the Craft contractors myth. The people on the scene were not Craft International but National Guard actually. Specifically the National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team. Supposedly it was the one in New York called up but they also have a  1st unit WMD CST who are based out of Boston.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel on March 29 informed lawmakers in writing of plans to dismantle the New York-based 24th National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team, as well as a similar WMD unit housed in Florida, House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee Chairman Bill Young (R-Fla.) said on Tuesday. The units were to cease operations by late June, Hagel said in a letter that did not offer a reason for the decision.

Members of the New York team "responded to the Boston Marathon bombings," where twin blasts killed three people and wounded close to 200 near the end of the course, Young said.

They didn't respond but were doing a 'drill' at for a what it is worth was 666 Boylston Street which is the address for the Boston Public Library aka where the 3rd controlled detonation took place. The address number was changed years ago but that is the original address number. There is plenty of circumstantial evidence for this, not going to repost all the sources but you have bomb dogs spotted and law enforcement telling people to not panic they were doing a drill.

Now this is were things get interesting.

Check this picture out, shows pictures of the guys that everyone thinks is Craft International, I am pretty sure it is a WMD team picture but can't say for sure.

What is interesting is the guy in wheelchair. That guy wasn't involved in the explosions at all and is actually an actor who was most likely part of the drill they were running. Did the media just get it wrong through incompetence or did the DOD make sure their state mouthpiece the AP run the story to influence the public. I am going to prove it also. Follow the information. First the questions asked in the picture all valid questions.

The guy in the picture in the wheelchair was said to be Jeff Bauman though as you can clearly see he is really disabled double amputee army vet in that pic.

The guy in question here is his facebook page.

First anomaly is the hair, The guy in the wheelchair has curly hair he has straight hair. That doesn't add up forget color. The noses are different also. Next is you notice no well wishers from his friends. If you had your legs blown off you'd be getting sympathy posts on your FB page. One would counter well maybe he doesn't allow wall posts shown to the public, fair point but we've just started down the rabbit hole we haven't gone deeper yet.

He is in 2 public groups that you can see public posts.

Notice not one mention about him getting his legs blown off, also the runner group if this happened to a member of your group there should be posts about it and the usual we need to run one for the gipper special event rah rah shit that goes along with this things. You know they most likely also participated in the marathon so he would have not been the only one running in that group on the day. Not a mention of the marathon or his legs being blown off and well wishers for him. The guy didn't get his legs blown off and the person in wheelchair is not him, the media is running a lie either being used for misdirection by the DOD for "public diplomacy" via the state department, just happened to catch a the drill and ran with the picture not knowing or some other reason but the fact is the story being told on him is not the real story. It is not Jeff Bauman.

Here is a better picture of the wheelchair guy.

Here is another good picture they are saying is Jeff Bauman

Don't look like him now does it. Looks like the Army vet not the Jeff on facebook.

That Carlos Arredondo guy, something don't smell right with him either, he could have been caught up in it or is in on it, I don't know but I would suspect the more digging is done on him the more his background is going to expose holes in the official story on him.

His back ground story alone fits all the key talking points for pro-immigration and pro-gun control.

Costa Rican immigrant, had a son who was killed in combat during the Iraq war and is now a peace activist. He also had a second son who committed suicide due to depression and drug addiction. You couldn't come up with a better brand to push the current socialist agendas and play off against the anti-war anti-drones pro gun crowd than this guy.

And 21 of 23 raters believe every conspiracy they have ever heard no matter how stupid. Not saying there are no conspiracies. There are plenty. And there are clearly some in the marathon bombing. But Jesus use your fucking brain. You sound like imbeciles.
