Non-Muslims Carried Out More than 90% of All Terrorist Attacks on U.S. Soil

George Washington's picture

An FBI report shows that only a small percentage of terrorist attacks carried out on U.S. soil between 1980 and 2005 were perpetrated by Muslims.

Princeton University’s Loon Watch compiled the following chart from the FBI’s data (as explained below, this chart is over-simplified … and somewhat inaccurate):

Terrorist Attacks on U.S. Soil by Group, From 1980 to 2005, According to FBI DatabaseTerrorist Attacks on U.S. Soil by Group, From 1980 to 2005, According to FBI Database

According to this data, there were more Jewish acts of terrorism within the United States than Islamic (7% vs 6%).  These radical Jews committed acts of terrorism in the name of their religion.  These were not terrorists who happened to be Jews; rather, they were extremist Jews who committed acts of terrorism based on their religious passions, just like Al-Qaeda and company.

(The chart is misleading in several ways. For example, it labels "Extreme Left Wing Groups" and "Communists", but not "Extreme Right Wing Groups" or "Fascists". It should have either discarded all partisan labels, or included labels for both ends of the spectrum.  In addition, "Latinos" is misleading, as Loonwatch is actually referring to Puerto Rican separatist groups, Cuban exile groups and the like.  However, as shown below, many of the basic concepts are correct.)

U.S. News and World Report noted in February of this year:

Of the more than 300 American deaths from political violence and mass shootings since 9/11, only 33 have come at the hands of Muslim-Americans, according to the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security. The Muslim-American suspects or perpetrators in these or other attempted attacks fit no demographic profile—only 51 of more than 200 are of Arabic ethnicity. In 2012, all but one of the nine Muslim-American terrorism plots uncovered were halted in early stages. That one, an attempted bombing of a Social Security office in Arizona, caused no casualties.

Wired reported the same month:

Since 9/11, [Charles Kurzman, Professor of Sociology at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, writing for the Triangle Center on Terrorism and National Security] and his team tallies, 33 Americans have died as a result of terrorism launched by their Muslim neighbors. During that period, 180,000 Americans were murdered for reasons unrelated to terrorism. In just the past year, the mass shootings that have captivated America’s attention killed 66 Americans, “twice as many fatalities as from Muslim-American terrorism in all 11 years since 9/11,” notes Kurzman’s team.

Law enforcement, including “informants and undercover agents,” were involved in “almost all of the Muslim-American terrorism plots uncovered in 2012,” the Triangle team finds. That’s in keeping with the FBI’s recent practice of using undercover or double agents to encourage would-be terrorists to act on their violent desires and arresting them when they do — a practice critics say comes perilously close to entrapment. A difference in 2012 observed by Triangle: with the exception of the Arizona attack, all the alleged plots involving U.S. Muslims were “discovered and disrupted at an early stage,” while in the past three years, law enforcement often observed the incubating terror initiatives “after weapons or explosives had already been gathered.”

The sample of Muslim Americans turning to terror is “vanishingly small,” Kurzman tells Danger Room. Measuring the U.S. Muslim population is a famously inexact science, since census data don’t track religion, but rather “country of origin,” which researchers attempt to use as a proxy. There are somewhere between 1.7 million and seven million American Muslims, by most estimates, and Kurzman says he operates off a model that presumes the lower end, a bit over 2 million. That’s less a rate of involvement in terrorism of less than 10 per million, down from a 2003 high of 40 per million, as detailed in the chart above.

Yet the scrutiny by law enforcement and homeland security on American Muslims has not similarly abated. The FBI tracks “geomaps” of areas where Muslims live and work, regardless of their involvement in any crime. The Patriot Act and other post-9/11 restrictions on government surveillance remain in place. The Department of Homeland Security just celebrated its 10th anniversary. In 2011, President Obama ordered the entire federal national-security apparatus to get rid of counterterrorism training material that instructed agents to focus on Islam itself, rather than specific terrorist groups.

Kurzman doesn’t deny that law enforcement plays a role in disrupting and deterring homegrown U.S. Muslim terrorism. His research holds it out as a possible explanation for the decline. But he remains surprised by the disconnect between the scale of the terrorism problem and the scale — and expense — of the government’s response.

“Until public opinion starts to recognize the scale of the problem has been lower than we feared, my sense is that public officials are not going to change their policies,” Kurzman says. “Counterterrorism policies have involved surveillance — not just of Muslim-Americans, but of all Americans, and the fear of terrorism has justified intrusions on American privacy and civil liberties all over the internet and other aspects of our lives. I think the implications here are not just for how we treat a religious minority in the U.S., but also how we treat the rights & liberties of everyone.”

We agree. And so do most Americans. Indeed – as we’ve previously documented – you’re more likely to die from brain-eating parasites, alcoholism, obesity, medical errors, risky sexual behavior or just about anything other than terrorism.

Kurzman told the Young Turks in February that Islamic terrorism “doesn’t even count for 1 percent” of the 180,000 murders in the US since 9/11.

While the Boston marathon bombings were horrific, a top terrorism expert says that the Boston attack was more like Columbine than 9/11, and that the bombers are “murderers not terrorists”.  The overwhelming majority of mass shootings were by non-Muslims.  (This is true in Europe, as well as in the U.S.)

However you classify them – murder or terrorism – the Boston bombings occurred after all of the statistical analysis set forth above. Moreover, different groups have different agendas about how to classify the perpetrators  (For example, liberal Mother Jones and conservative Breitbart disagree on how many of the perpetrators of terror attacks can  properly be classified as right wing extremists.)

So we decided to look at the most current statistics for ourselves, to do an objective numerical count not driven by any agenda.

Specifically, we reviewed all of the terrorist attacks on U.S. soil as documented by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START). (2012). Global Terrorism Database, as retrieved from http://www.start.umd.edu/gtd.

The START Global Terrorism Database spans from 1970 through 2012 (and will be updated from year-to-year), and – as of this writing – includes 104,000 terrorist incidents.  As such, it is the most comprehensive open-source database open to the public.

We counted up the number of terrorist attacks carried out by Muslims.  We excluded attacks by groups which are obviously not Muslims, such as the Ku Klux Klan, Medellin Drug Cartel, Irish Republican Army, Anti-Castro Group, Mormon extremists, Vietnamese Organization to Exterminate Communists and Restore the Nation, Jewish Defense League, May 19 Communist Order, Chicano Liberation Front, Jewish Armed Resistance, American Indian Movement, Gay Liberation Front, Aryan Nation, Jewish Action Movement, National Front for the Liberation of Cuba, or Fourth Reich Skinheads.

We counted attacks by Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Black American Moslems, or anyone who even remotely sounded Muslim … for example anyone from Palestine, Lebanon or any other Arab or Muslim country, or any name including anything sounding remotely Arabic or Indonesian (like “Al” anything or “Jamaat” anything).

If we weren’t sure what the person’s affiliation was, we looked up the name of the group to determine whether it could in any way be connected to Muslims.

Based on our review of the approximately 2,400 terrorist attacks on U.S. soil contained within the START database, we determined that approximately 60 were carried out by Muslims.

In other words, approximately 2.5% of all terrorist attacks on U.S. soil between 1970 and 2012 were carried out by Muslims.*  This is a tiny proportion of all attacks.

(We determined that approximately 118 of the terror attacks - or 4.9% - were carried out by Jewish groups such as Jewish Armed Resistance, the Jewish Defense League, Jewish Action Movement, United Jewish Underground and Thunder of Zion. This is almost twice the percentage of Islamic attacks within the United States.  In addition, there were approximately 168 attacks - or 7% - by anti-abortion activists, who tend to be Christian. Fuerzas Armadas de Liberacion Nacional  - a Puerto Rican paramilitary organization -  carried out more than 120 bomb attacks on U.S. targets between 1974 and 1983, and there were some 41 attacks by Cuban exiles, and a number of attacks by other Latin American groups. If we look at worldwide attacks - instead of just attacks on U.S. soil - Sunni Muslims are the main perpetrators of terrorism.  However: 1. Muslims are also the main victims of terror attacks worldwide; and 2. the U.S. backs the most radical types of Sunnis over more moderate Muslims and Arab secularists.)

Moreover, another study undertaken by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism – called ”Profiles of Perpetrators of Terrorism in the United States” – found:

Between 1970 and 2011, 32 percent of the perpetrator groups were motivated by ethnonationalist/separatist agendas, 28 percent were motivated by single issues, such as animal rights or opposition to war, and seven percent were motivated by religious beliefs. In addition, 11 percent of the perpetrator groups were classified as extreme right-wing, and 22 percent were categorized as extreme left-wing.

Preliminary findings from PPT-US data between 1970 and 2011 also illustrate a distinct shift in the dominant ideologies of these terrorist groups over time, with the proportion of emerging ethnonationalist/separatist terrorist groups declining and the proportion of religious terrorist groups increasing. However, while terrorist groups with religious ideologies represent 40 percent of all emergent groups from 2000-2011 (two out of five), they only account for seven percent of groups over time.

Similarly, a third study by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism Religion found that religion alone is not a key factor in determining which terrorists want to use weapons of mass destruction:

The available empirical data show that there is not a significant relationship between terrorist organizations’ pursuit of CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear) weapons and the mere possession of a religious ideology, according to a new quantitative study by START researchers Victor Asal, Gary Ackerman and Karl Rethemeyer.

Therefore, Muslims are not more likely than other groups to want to use WMDs.

* The Boston marathon bombing was not included in this analysis, as START has not yet updated its database to include 2013 terrorist attacks.  3 people died in the Boston attack.  While tragic, we are confident that non-Musliims killed more than 3 during this same period.

We are not experts in terrorism analysis.  We would therefore defer to people like Kurzman on the exact number.  However, every quantitative analysis of terrorism in the U.S. we have read shows that the percent of terror attacks carried out by Muslims is far less than 10%.

Postscript: State-sponsored terrorism is beyond the scope of this discussion, and was not included in our statistical analysis.  Specifically, the following arguments are beyond the scope of this discussion, as we are focusing solely on non-state terrorism:

  • Arguments by  University of Michigan Professor Juan Cole that deaths from 20th century wars could be labeled Christian terrorism

I remember this comment when I used to read over at Informationclearinghouse.info before the paid Shills took over that entire blog. They seem to follow Washington's blog too, as well as certain types of articles on ZH. What they do is distrupt the board from the subject or reduce it to ad hominem attacks. They seem to work in teams.

When a pressure cooker filled with black powder from firecrackers is characterized as a "Weapon of Mass Destruction" then you must also assume that the value of the words "Terrorist acts" has been debased to the same level of meaninglessness. That, in its essence, is what makes the stats in this article useless.

"Of the 300 people who have died to terrorism since 9/11."

Yeah, but what about the 3,000 who died ON 9/11?  And do you factor the almost 200 people killed and injured in Boston a few weeks ago into that statistic?

There are 31 people on the FBI's most wanted list.  Not one is a gang banger.  Not one is any flavor of Mafia.  30 of them are muslim's.  The other 1 is an enviro-terrorist from Berkley.

A key reason that muslims haven't killed more people is because they are being caught before they strike.  The Shoe Bomber, the JFK Fuel attack plans, the Brooklyn Stinger-Missile attack, the Brooklyn Bridge attack plan, an attack on a Synagogue,  the underwear bomber - all intercepted and stopped beforehand.  The Times Square Bomber wasn't - he just failed.

But look at the list.

Yeah, there's nothing going on here.  This is bigotry, plain and simple, based on no threat whatsoever.

I've seen this meme coming through the usual sources.   I had a discussion with a woman who was vacationing here in Naples, she proclaimed with pride she was a liberal democrat from Maine.   When we got into things, I stated that the people that set the bomb were muslim extremists, I sited some of the events you mention, Nadal Hassan, and she came back at me with some skin head that killed the sherrif in Texas.   But, in watching some shows I watch, I've heard this and other vaguely tangential accusations which implies 'hey, the muslims aren't all that bad'.

You see this is what amounts to reasoned argument these days, especially by the left (not rep or dem) but the left....they just get to say stuff and the act of them saying it, makes it true.   Then they all get the talking points and start parroting them over and over.   I mean, apparently there are talking points - if youve ever heard the spliced together clips of msm talking about a particular issue and using all the exact same key words, and making the same arguments - though they are different news bureaus.

I think this article in CNS which ran on drudge today says more about the state of the country than anything you'll hear on MSM...

The most basic answer is: You hate the United States.

Wow, I can't believe you a still spouting retread cold war nonsense blaming "Maxists" (or was passes for Marxist these days) for the about.  Reality time:

1,  Attacking the "family" - most family destructions comes from within.  Drugs, alcohol, generations of abuse - not to mention not being able to find a decent job doesn't help.

2.  Attacking "Christianity" - Christianity of late is doing quite a good job of destroying itself.  Obsession with gays, abortion, "Young Earth Creationism", "Premillenian Dispensationism" instead of "Love Thy Neighbor", mega "churches" that are just another manifestaion of TBTF swindle - yeah "Marxists" are the cause of people abandoning Christianity in droves.

3. Attacking "private property" - Wall Street and the Fed and the banksters are doing a better job of that than any "Marxist" ever dreamed.

Know thy enemy?  Pathetic morons like you don't even qualify as "enemy" but you hard core authoritarian tendencies (and you comment above revels in them) you don't qualify as a friend either.

Christians are being manipulated by atheist warmongers in order to rationalize an invasion of Syria ... and then Iran.

Specifically, Leo Strauss is the father of the Neo-Conservative movement.

Indeed, many of the main neocon players – including Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Stephen Cambone, Elliot Abrams, and Adam Shulsky were students of Strauss at the University of Chicago, where he taught for many years.

The people pushing for war against Iran are the same neocons who pushed for war against Iraq. See this and this. (They planned both wars at least 20 years ago.) For example, Shulsky was the director of the Office of Special Plans – the Pentagon unit responsible for selling false intelligence regarding Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction. He is now a member of the equivalent organization targeting Iran: the Iranian Directorate.

Strauss, born in Germany, was an admirer of Nazi philosophers and of Machiavelli. Strauss believed that a stable political order required an external threat and that if an external threat did not exist, one should be manufactured. Specifically, Strauss thought that:

A political order can be stable only if it is united by
an external threat . . . . Following Machiavelli, he maintained that if
no external threat exists then one has to be manufactured

(the quote is by one of Strauss’ main biographers).

Indeed, Stauss used the analogy of Gulliver’s Travels to show what a Neocon-run society would look like:

“When Lilliput [the town] was on fire, Gulliver urinated
over the city, including the palace. In so doing, he saved all of
Lilliput from catastrophe, but the Lilliputians were outraged and
appalled by such a show of disrespect.” (this quote also from the same biographer)

Moreover, Strauss said:

Only a great fool would call the new political science diabolic . . . Nevertheless one may say of it that it fiddles while Rome burns. It is excused by two facts: it does not know that it fiddles, and it does not know that Rome burns.

So Strauss seems to have advocated governments letting
terrorizing catastrophes happen on one’s own soil to one’s own people —
of “pissing” on one’s own people, to use his Gulliver’s travel analogy.
And he advocates that government’s should pretend that they did
not know about such acts of mayhem: to intentionally “not know” that
Rome is burning. He advocates messing with one’s own people in order to
save them from some “catastophe” (perhaps to justify military efforts to
monopolize middle eastern oil to keep it away from our real threat — an
increasingly-powerful China?).

What does this have to do with religion?

Strauss taught that religion should be used as a way to manipulate people to achieve the aims of the leaders. But that the leaders themselves need not believe in religion.

As Wikipedia notes:

In the late 1990s Irving Kristol and other writers in
neoconservative magazines began touting anti-Darwinist views, in support
of intelligent design. Since these neoconservatives were largely of
secular backgrounds, a few commentators have speculated that this –
along with support for religion generally – may have been a case of a
“noble lie”, intended to protect public morality, or even tactical
politics, to attract religious supporters.

So is it any surprise that the folks who planned war against Iraq and Iran at least 20 years ago are pushing religious disinformation to stir up the evangelical community?

In other words, people of faith are being MANIPULATED by atheist neo-cons and neo-libs (Obama is no different from Bush) to implement their decades-old plans.

The warmongers are simply promoting the Straussian playbook: stir up religious
sentiment – even if you are personally an atheist – to create and
demonize an “enemy”, so as to promote war …

But FBI does not include some of the worse perpetrators of violence which are people making the violent attack decisions behind closed doors, govt heads, economic heads, and many govt officials.

It is purely racism. First they attack these people, then when they react they attack again. People in U.S. are so ignorant they have no idea the larger picture behind the Boston Bombings.

This post conflates two ideas.  One is that terrorism represents a very limited threat to almost everyone and so the outlandish government response is unwaranted and trading liberty to combat it is unjustified.  The second idea is a simple comparison of who the perpetrators are.  On the first question most here would agree that we shopuld not trade liberty for security even a little.  On the second question you will get more disagreement.  And I for one am not ready to dismiss the proclivities of a group at the heart of whose religion lies intolerance, a religion whose central tenets are diametrically opposed to those of Western Civilization, a religion which therefore does not co-exist easily with us.  Christians are largely defanged and have accepted secular ordering of civil socity.  Muslims not so.  And guess which one has the upper hand demographically?

While the jew-hating George Washington couldn't wait to tell us about all these Jewish terrorist acts, notice the drive-by bullshit artists didn't mention anything about them like how much damage to property or deaths and injuries.  Simply put, George Washington is just a jew-hating, Israel-hating, America-hating schmuck.

The really smart and insightful people are the ones that can see what no one else can. The idiots and fools only see what is in front of their face. We hear so many here complain of continual government dissinformation, yet we are to deny what we see and hear, to believe it is actually the opposite. Descending into madness. Debt has forced our economy into default and even though debt is the cause of our maladies, we should embrace even greater debt as the solution. Huge numbers of people in the world have declared our death as their mortal goal, yet we are to believe that they are but retarded rubes either manipulated or direct agents of our CIA. Millions of them, CIA agents. The exact same template applied to Bush. An evil genius that impliments the NWO, while simultaneously a dumbass unable to speak in complete sentences. It just HAS to be a conspiracy.

Sorry folks, I have to go with the idiots on this one. People who say the want me dead have my attention, and if they are bluffing its not going to work out any better for them than it did for Sadam. And if they are tools of the state, the same goes again. and if they are simple retards, well, what can I say.

Infiltration of the federal government by members of the radical Muslim Brotherhood is worse than some have warned recently, says a former FBI special agent in Washington.

The agent confirmed that at least three operatives of the Egypt-based Brotherhood – whose credo is “Jihad is our way and death in the cause of Allah is our dream” – have penetrated the Obama administration.

The shocking charge was first leveled by Muslim reformer Tarek Fatah during a recent speech in Toronto.

“When someone says that there is penetration of jihadi Islamists within society, do not dismiss it as some right-wing, xenophobic, racist rant,” warned Fatah, a Canadian journalist.

“Today in the White House, there are three members of the Muslim Brotherhood that influence Obama’s policy,” he told the audience gathered for an IdeaCity conference. “One is Rashad Hassan, who is the American ambassador to the 52-nation Organization of Islamic (Conference).”

Fatah also named “Dalia Mogahed, who writes (Obama’s) speeches, who comes from the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt; and another woman, an academic, (who) was appointed in that circle.”

Former FBI special agent John Guandolo says Obama’s ties to agents for the Muslim Brotherhood are even more extensive.

“The level of penetration in the last three administrations is deep,” he said. “For this president, it even goes back to his campaign with Muslim Brotherhood folks working with him then.”

Equally alarming, the Brotherhood also has placed several operatives and sympathizers within key positions in Homeland Security and the U.S.
military, notes Guandolo, a former Marine Corps officer.

The veteran federal agent says such infiltration threatens national security, because the U.S. leadership of the international Brotherhood has outlined a secret plan to “destroy” the U.S. and other Western governments “from within.”

After the 9/11 attacks, he says the FBI discovered the plan written in Arabic among documents seized from the basement of a prominent Brotherhood leader living in a Washington suburb.

Guandolo says the stated Muslim Brotherhood strategy for change “from within” includes the installation of loyal Brothers into political office.

President Obama’s top Muslim ambassador, Rashad Hussain, has raised suspicions. He is U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, a powerful international group headquartered in Saudi Arabia and closely aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Before first joining the White House as a lawyer, Hussain regularly spoke to Brotherhood front groups and defended Brotherhood leaders like Sami al-Arian. Hussain at first denied defending the convicted terrorist, claiming he was misquoted, but then recanted after Politico.com produced a tape-recording of his remarks.

Recently, he has been overseas encouraging devotion to Islam, including in terror hotspots like Afghanistan.

In fact, Hussain has told Afghans the antidote to Islamic violence “is Islam itself.”

“I am of the opinion that one of the strongest tools that you can use to counter radicalization and violent extremism is Islam itself, because Islam rejects violent extremism,” he said during a recent speech in Kabul.

Hussain, a devout Muslim, says promotion of the Muslim faith is “key” to the administration’s strategy to turn Muslims away from violence.

“We see that as one of the key elements of a strategy to address this type of violence,” he said.

The strategy is at odds with what the co-chairmen of the 9/11 Commission recently recommended in their follow-up report on homegrown terror, “Assessing the Terrorist Threat: A Report of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s National Security Preparedness Group.”

The study found that Islam was motivating terrorists not just abroad, but inside America’s Muslim community. And it scolded U.S. leaders for pretending religion is not a factor in growing violence.

Still, Hussain insists: “When it comes to the problem of violent extremism, Islam is not the problem.”

Hussain helped draft Obama’s conciliatory Cairo speech to Muslims. Also helping with the president’s speeches and policies toward Muslims is Mogahed, whose pro-Islamist statements have been posted on the Muslim Brotherhood’s website, ikhwanweb.com.

Obama appointed the hijab-wearing Mogahed to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. On a British television program, Islam Channel, Mogahed defended Shariah law, the barbaric Islamic legal code that treats women as second-class citizens.

Muslim women actually “associate gender justice or justice for women with Shariah compliance,” she argued. “It is ‘only a small fraction’ that associate Shariah with ‘oppression of women.’”

She added that Muslims should work to integrate Islamic law into public law.

Another Brotherhood-tied figure influencing the White House is Azizah al-Hibri.

Obama this June appointed her to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom. A Muslim professor, al-Hibri is also the granddaughter of a sheik, who claims the Saudi criminal justice system is more moral than the American one because it accepts blood money from murderers.

Al-Hibri herself has proclaimed: “Islamic fiqh (law) is deeper and better than Western codes of law.”

She served on the advisory board of the American Muslim Council and made joint appearances with its leader Abdurahman Alamoudi. Now defunct, the AMC was a front group for the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood, and Alamoudi was the Brotherhood’s top leader in America. He is now behind bars as one of al-Qaida’s top fundraisers in America.

Al-Hibri has also made appearances at Islamic Society of North America conferences. The Justice Department says ISNA is a Brotherhood front and recently named the group an unindicted co-conspirator in a plot to provide material support to Hamas terrorists.

Guandolo identified several other Brotherhood-connected agents of influence – all of whom are just as politically savvy and moderate sounding – who have worked their way into government positions, including:

  • Arif Alikhan, who was assistant Homeland Security secretary for policy development and is now a distinguished visiting professor of homeland security and counterterrorism at the National Defense University.
  • Syrian-born Kareem Shora, who is Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s senior policy adviser.
  • Navy Cmdr. Youssef Aboul-Enein and Jocelyne Cesari, a Muslim convert who previously worked with Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, both of whom teach at colleges within the National Defense University.

Guandolo blames the advances Brotherhood figures on political correctness and lax vetting at government agencies.

Even at the FBI, he notes, an Iranian-born Muslim has taken over the agency’s weapons of mass destruction program.

Stung by workplace discrimination lawsuits by Arab and Muslim employees, the FBI has come under pressure to hire more Arab and Muslim agents and language specialists and promote existing ones, while clearing them for higher security levels, according the best-selling book “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to
Islamize America.”

The book cites internal FBI records showing the agency has been sued by no fewer than 14 Arab and Muslim employees since 9/11. Some of the lawsuits have been solicited or aided by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, another Muslim Brotherhood front group. The FBI in 2008 cut off formal outreach with CAIR and its branch offices.

“This is happening as we remain silent. And I say that as a liberal Democrat who worked and campaigned for Barack Obama,” said Fatah, a Pakistan-born journalist and activist who founded the moderate Muslim Canadian Congress to fight the spread of “Islamofascism.”

“Muslim Mafia” also has prompted a lawsuit from CAIR over the acquisition by the authors of CAIR documents.

In the lawsuit, CAIR, a self-described Muslim civil-rights group, does not defend itself against the book’s claims, and the FBI has seized the CAIR material from the Washington law office of one of the attorneys for the authors. A previous filing in the case revealed a federal grand jury is investigating CAIR for possible violation of laws that ban financial dealings with terrorist groups or countries under U.S. sanctions.

CAIR’s complaint seeks to expunge all copies of “Muslim Mafia” in an attempt, according to defense lawyers, to eliminate evidence that could lead to criminal prosecution.

We are in an unending war via a noun called terrorism to:

“A state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny.” - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Resulting in:

Eventually it reaches a point of essential alienation, where it can no longer pretend to represent the governed. The American government is now the most powerful human organization that has ever existed. It has made a stupid habit of exercising power arbitrarily, uninhibited by moral or constitutional principle. It is not a conspiracy masterminded by some cunning genius at the center; it is a system of power which large numbers of greedy and ambitious people have learned to use. It has ceased to be a problem for Americans only; it has become a problem for a large part of the human race. - Joseph Sobran

The analysis and facts provided in this article are as irrelevant as they are true. Here is why. (1) One can't simply ignore 9-11. The majority of US deaths from terrorists died in that one incident. (2) Only Muslims have State support right now. Other flavors of terrorists are not supported by any rival government. Groups like Hezbollah are really proxy armies of a foreign power, and not "terrorists" in the strictest sense. (3) Only Muslims have grand political objectives that are shared by more than a billion people worldwide and are backed by an enduring 1400 year old ideology beneath those objectives. Al Qaeda must be regarded as a future Caliphate in waiting, a global Islamic government in exile.  (4) Two supreme dominators cannot co-exist in the same physical domain. One must destroy the other.  The USA has always been a supreme dominator from the moment of its creation. Our underlying principle is Manifest Destiny. Islam has always been a supreme dominator as well. It considers rule of the whole world something that it is entitled to have as a matter of right. Modern technology gives Muslim fighters access to the whole world. Therefore, Islam cannot co-exist with the USA long term. One or the other must be destroyed.

Man you must be kidding. 90 % of terrorism is (Western) state sponsored. Therefore what you say is totally irrelevant too, because muslim terrorism is sponsored by western and isreali secret services. Muslims are nothing but united (don't u remember Irak/Iran war ? What happened in Lybia, where Muslims fougth other Muslims ?), they are just a convenient tool to fulfill political agenda. But yeah, if u believe in the official 9/11 story... Your post sounds like Israeli propaganda, really... Are you one of those trolls paid by the Mossad ? I hope, cause if u do it for free... :)

"The object of jihad is to bring the whole world under Islamic law."

Bernard Lewis - The Middle East: A Brief History of the Last 2,000 Years (page 234)

People like Mr. Washington are the "useful idiots" of this particular 1,400 year war that Islam has been waging with all things non-Islamic. Let's not forget that "muslim" means "one who submits to islam", which is what they want everybody to do.
