Bush Official: Syria Chemical Weapons Attack Could Be “Israeli False Flag Operation”

George Washington's picture

It is likely that Al Qaeda rebels - and not the Syrian government - carried out the chemical weapons attack which the hawks in Washington are trying to use as a reason to invade.

Haaretz reported on March 24th, "Jihadists, not Assad, apparently behind reported chemical attack in Syria".

The Syria Tribune released a video in December allegedly showing Syrian rebels killing rabbits with chemical weapons, and threatening to use them against supporters of the Syrian government. (It is impossible at this point to say whether this is genuine or propaganda).

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson - the former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell under President George W. Bush - said yesterday that the Syrian chemical weapons could be a “Israeli false flag operation”.

Wilkerson said that he had been told by his sources in the intelligence community that evidence that Syria had used chemical weapons was “really flaky” and that President Barack Obama should think twice before intervening.

“This could have been an Israeli false flag operation,” he said. “You’ve got basically a geo-strategically, geo-political — if you will — inept regime in Tel Aviv right now.”

Indeed, Neoconservatives planned regime change in Syria - and throughout the Middle East and North Africa - 20 years ago.

And carrying out acts of violence and blaming it on the Syrian government as an excuse for regime change - i.e. false flag terror - was discussed over 50 years ago by British and American leaders.

And the “rebels” in Syria that the U.S. has been supporting are Al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood.  Indeed, the New York Times s reported last week that virtually all of the rebel fighters are Al Qaeda terrorist,

But that doesn't matter ... war is sold just like toothpaste, and once there is a sufficient excuse for war - real or made up - we can march forward.

Geroge,

While I do not share you opinion, I do agree on one thing. The last thing anyone needs is for our administration to get involved in that mess. I just hope a possibility of our economy going south will not force White House desire to distract the population from affairs that actually matter by starting let's bomb us some Syrian rebels campaign.

I like Col. Wilkerson.  Smart man making progress.

He still needs to turn the corner on 9/11 with the 1,908 architects and engineers calling for a fresh investigation of the 3 WTC total tower collapses.

Funny thing about guys like Col. Wilkerson.  Not the kinda guy you wanna be on the wrong side of when the self evident becomes obvious and he and the rest of America (world) realizes we have been punked.

Simple solution.

Bomb the whole country. You're bound to get the rotten apples eventually.

It worked in Iraq.

Don't worry, the Russian civilians are evacuating Syria as we speak, so we can bomb the whole country.  Little back room deal, according to Sibel Edmonds, the Russians back off on Syria and we back off on Chechnya and Georgia.  And Russia can strengthen it's stance on Chechnya and Georgia in the name of fighting islamic terrorists.  I won't point out the obvious dot that connects the two.

Green light.

I read Sibel. She seems to have an inside track on the Caucasus' area.

I had a high school pal that took Russian, ended up in the Navy and started out translating Russian intercepts in Turkey for Naval Intel attached to NSA in the 70's.

His stories were scary but the worst was that any given 'policy' would have active assistants and rival factions working against it all within different US intelligence groups. Now add the rival Soviet Russian actors and their internecine battles and shifting alliances and his general take was that the whole system of Intelligence was so fucked up and non-functional that analysts basically had to make stuff up but the 'product' would always match the 'customers' expectations.

He described his career as 20 years in Wonderland where nobody knew what was real and what was plants or disinformation given by informers or sources looking for a paycheck or disinfo from other intel groups or State Dept. that had their own agendas to promote.

He would laugh his ass off over spy movies where the intrepid analyst figures out the game. Hell, the guys who invented the game are only guessing what's going on.

Looks like nothing has changed. Business as usual. FUBAR.

Based on your comments over time, I'm starting to believe that you actually believe it is possible to make the world work differently.  The names change over time.  The behaviors don't.  And never will.

The trick is to find a space amongst all the jockeying where you can build a life - knowing the world you have built for yourself could be taken from you at any minute.  Of course, the advertisers don't want us to ever understand that, because then we might stop buying stuff.

History ands its anti-gangstrism.

WASHINGTON, GEORGE, in Maxims of George Washington by A. A. Appleton & Co.

"They (the Jews) work more effectively against us, than the enemy's armies. They are a hundred times more dangerous to our liberties and the great cause we are engaged in... It is much to be lamented that each state, long ago, has not hunted them down as pest to society and the greatest enemies we have to the happiness of America."

This prophecy, by Benjamin Franklin, was made in a "CHIT CHAT AROUND THE TABLE DURING INTERMISSION," at the Philadelphia Constitutional Convention of 1787. This statement was recorded in the dairy of Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, a delegate from South Carolina.

"I fully agree with General Washington, that we must protect this young nation from an insidious influence and impenetration. The menace, gentlemen, is the Jews.
In whatever country Jews have settled in any great number, they have lowered its moral tone; depreciated its commercial integrity; have segregated themselves and have not been assimilated; have sneered at and tried to undermine the Christian religion upon which that nation is founded, by objecting to its restrictions; have built up a state within the state; and when opposed have tried to strangle that country to death financially, as in the case of Spain and Portugal.
For over 1,700 years, the Jews have been bewailing their sad fate in that they have been exiled from their homeland, as they call Palestine. But gentlemen, did the world give it to them in fee simple, they would at once find some reason for not returning. Why? Because they are vampires, and vampires do not live on vampires. They cannot live only among themselves. They must subsist on Christians and other people not of their race.
If you do not exclude them from these United States, in their Constitution, in less than 200 years they will have swarmed here in such great numbers that they will dominate and devour the land and change our form of government, for which we Americans have shed our blood, given our lives our substance and jeopardized our liberty.
If you do not exclude them, in less than 200 years our descendants will be working in the fields to furnish them substance, while they will be in the counting houses rubbing their hands. I warn you, gentlemen, if you do not exclude Jews for all time, your children will curse you in your graves.
Jews, gentlemen, are Asiatics, let them be born where they will nor how many generations they are away from Asia, they will never be otherwise. Their ideas do not conform to an American's, and will not even thou they live among us ten generations. A leopard cannot change its spots. Jews are Asiatics, are a menace to this country if permitted entrance, and should be excluded by this Constitutional Convention.

My personal, intutive feeling, is that Colin Powell was NOT one of the insiders behind the 9/11/2001 false flag attacks. I believe that he was also tricked to give the false information before the United Nations about the reasons for starting the war against Iraq. Of course, I easily could be wrong about that, but nevertheless, that is the feeling I got after spending thousands of hours to try to sift through the available information regarding these topics.

These things are hyper-complicated ...

Remember this:

He was burned at the UN but that's what they do.

They used his credibility to sell WMD and then destroyed his political currency to ensure he was unelectable, clearing a path for the Anointed One...BHO, who has been a first string POTUS designate since college.

That said, Powell is still definitely portrayed as an insider by 'hacked' photos from Bohemian Grove

"false flag" crack to the addicts' ears.

Politicized intelligence is extremely rarely indicative of a false flag op, as the latter eliminates the need for the former.

Given Wilkerson's history of helping his boss politicize intelligence to support American military intervention, without any help from Israel, it's probably not an aspect he really wants to discuss in detail publicly...  so throw some red meat on the table and let the dogs go at it.

Ten years ago New York's Eliot Engel, a founding member of The Israel Project, sponsored the Syria Accountability Act.

Since it had AIPAC support, it sailed through Congress by the usual margins:

On, November 20th, the House passed the Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act in a landslide vote of 408-8. On November 11th, the Senate passed the bill in a vote of 89-4.

Why would anyone be surprised?  Francesco Cossiga, former president of Italy who blew the whistle on Operation Gladio, maintained that 9/11 was in inside job:

Former Italian President and the man who revealed the existence of Operation Gladio, Francesco Cossiga, has gone public on 9/11, telling Italy’s most respected newspaper that the attacks were run by the CIA and Mossad and that this was common knowledge amongst global intelligence agencies.

Cossiga was elected President of Italian Senate in July 1983 before being winning a landslide 1985 election to become President of the country in 1985.

Cossiga gained respect from opposition parties as one of a rare breed – an honest politician – and led the country for seven years until April 1992.

Cossiga’s tendency to be outspoken upset the Italian political establishment and he was forced to resign after revealing the existence of, and his part in setting up, Operation Gladio – a rogue intelligence network under NATO auspices that carried out bombings across Europe in the 60?s, 70?s and 80?s.

Gladio’s specialty was to carry out what they coined “false flag operations,” terror attacks that were blamed on their domestic and geopolitical opposition.

Cossiga’s revelations contributed to an Italian parliamentary investigation of Gladio in 2000, during which evidence was unearthed that the attacks were being overseen by the U.S. intelligence apparatus.

In March 2001, Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra stated, in sworn testimony, “You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: to force … the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security.”

Cossiga’s new revelations appeared last week in Italy’s oldest and most widely read newspaper, Corriere della Sera.

Without knowing what it might be bout worrying about other people's motivations that causes you to express your angst in bold... and not wishing to presuppose what your own position relative to that line might be,

it nevertheless is intriguing that you should take GW to task for his having finally thrown caution to the wind... and made his position clear[er] at last. That this should discomfit you so is worthy of an explanation... hereby invited!

As George's position is in fact, extremely moderate and dangerously understated... to the degree of being susceptible of being thought something of a 'kind of limited hangout' along the lines of a Seymour Hersch type of article /// circa back in 06\07\\\ when it was possible to write

"To undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In Lebanon, the Administration has coöperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda."
Or :
"The policy shift has brought Saudi Arabia and Israel into a new strategic embrace, largely because both countries see Iran as an existential threat. They have been involved in direct talks, and the Saudis, who believe that greater stability in Israel and Palestine will give Iran less leverage in the region, have become more involved in Arab-Israeli negotiations."
and thereby pretend.... that rather than the Saudis being the scions of Turk crypto-jews that they are ... running a fake Muslim western intelligence designed pseudo-Islamic cult(Wahibist), that they are in some way "Arab" "Muslims" seeking a strategic alliance with the secular satanists of the tiny terrorist statelet in tel aviv. Which as we all know... is complete Mossad disinfo! /// and therefore worthy of the same level of skepticism with which the careful reader must view your contribution.... until such time as you clearly delineate your own position pardner!... There! I think we may have 'balanced the scales' at least for the moment.... *your move. *kindly eschew all rhetorical overkill, pointless ad homs n such... thanx in advance.

JOYFUL's picture

And now that I've had a chance to review both of your replies...

this appears to be the summation of your argument....

that GW is both 'inarticulate' and out of line... for daring to suggest an agenda to those he supposes to have defended or denied collusion between the  ZOGist Washington regime(s) and alleged "Islamist fundamentalist terrorists" ...

that a purported "american intelligence arm" exists outside of direct sraeili control... and that individual elements within that arm are capable of independent action... for reasons\motives not explained so far.

that the author was criticising something other than "sionism" and was in some way 'wrong' for doing so.

...and finally... that there are shadowy operatives (rogue or institutional) outside of the command and control of ZATO who pose an 'existential threat' to all of us....

We await your considered effort to provide proof or reasonable argument of any of those points... as none has been forthcoming from you so far. NONE.

Though I truly prefer your level of discourse to that of the 'starstackinteds, or various deadfredd(ies) amongst us... it's hard to see at this point where you effectively differ from them in intent and  bottom line message.

My reply was in line with the my original post, and it is a valid dissection of GWs false argument, you're going off on tangents and jumping all over the place.  My country shuts down for 38 hours soon and I have something to attend to in the meantime-  I'll check back later.

JOYFUL's picture

There are no 'tangents' in my summing up of the four central points of your position as presented.

Nor is there any jumping. Your original post and subsequent follow up both asserted the same line of complaint against the OP... but came no closer to justifying it. In fact, the exact 'problem' of 'ambiguity' which has been leveled at GW by yourself appears to be a leif motif of your own approach here!

But I'll be happy to supply a little 'tangent' ial action if you've gone off for the weekend... so as to sum this whole thing up...

The Bhutto so maligned in your narrative was the last (if we discount G-Daff- as a possible western agent gone off res)of a long line of nationalist, secularist minded populist politician who aspired to bringing their countries fortunes and independence up in the world... and paid the ultimate price for do so. Lumumba, Soekarno, etc. etc., all died as victims of the sionist imperiums' quest to divide and weaken the peripheral countries of empire. Now that policy has been broadened to include proxy armies of phony 'radical islamists' employed to further tel aviv's plans of encirclement and strangulation. Kill off all the real leaders and bankroll puppets to bring chaos and destruction.

Most of the willing dupes in the west who have bought into this message have no idea of what is planned for them, by the same puppetmasters. George's recent posts have been wonderfully instructive in bringing out in the open who is tasked here with managing that program of deception and misdirection.

I wasn't maligning Benazir, I was pointing out that there were real security consequences to her policies, which sadly, facilitate opportunities for those who seek to spread dominion through apparent chaos. But I will malign Zadari, who has proven a quite a more pliable and useful tool to outside actors who seek to influence events in Pakistan.

Qdaffy is a chameleon and a proper dissection of his motivations would have to be period specific.

They might have gotten to Lumumba, but just down the road Seko Toure managed to outlive de Gaulle and die of natural causes without ever surrendering to the BdF.  He didn't succeed in what is he was trying to build, but he never quit either.  Perhaps he was a bit nihilist in his pursuit of populism, or too red for western tastes, but he understood the game.

As for what's coming- the major players (and there's evil on all sides) haven't even finished setting the table much less sat down to feast, but it will be interesting to see what and who they each bring along when they show their faces.  As I sit down to feast myself.
