beautiful satirical Art-Work William -

you always manage to put a smile on my German dial...

your art is very much appreciated, and we all like a bit of spicy sardonic humour -

especially when it comes to funny Politicians, and most Politicians are either scary or funny,

and some manage to be both. After all, if one can't laugh about all those comical and tragic politicians

orbiting and blundering around in the beyond of utopia, what else can we do ?

As a German I'd rather laugh about charicatures of Hitler,

then keep on endlessly crying and apologizing about the Nazis,

as some Germans seem to be fond of. (apologetic endless misery)

Hitlers can be found throughout History in various disguises

and Concentration Camps sometimes can have names like Abu Graib

or Guantanamo Bay...or drones sent to exterminate by remote control

from some fascist "Führers" HQ in any state or Nation.

All we can do is stay alert, and William helps us to do that,

with a smile and laughter.

You can paint a Hitler Moustache on anything you like mate,

even if it hits below some peoples belly button...

the German sense of humour should always remain

a laughing matter, not just during Fastnacht (Carnivale.)

As a German I sincerely thank you very much for the good times William..

keep the satire coming - the more the better.

Started with a bang...

I am being realistic, there are only so many people who are inclined to collect something like this.

I truly appreciate all the support I have gotten to date and I am busy devising a strategy for expanding my outlet channels without sacrificing artistic freedom.

I'm also going to do a set made up of smaller prints that can be cherry picked based on preference. Maybe a Bernanke set or something like that.

In the past two months I have upped the ante in terms of the build quality substantially. You are right, some of these will look spectacular in print and framed. The Rape of the Depositors is one example.

Et tu? Banzai7. Such a talent and you’ve missed the point: it’s the banks, Banzai7, it’s the Fed. It’s not the German people.  The EU was the bankers’ idea. They built it; they lied about it and they’re trying to protect it with strong arm tactics. If it were the German people, they would be allowed to vote on if they wanted this Euro Zone. They aren’t allowed because like in the U.S., they have a corrupted political system whereby not only are the politicians owned by the bankers but so are the political parties.

Deutsche Bank is not Germany; it’s Wall Street.

Deutsche Bank, Germany's largest bank, is headed by Paul M. L. Achleitner who is a former Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions of Goldman Sachs & Co., New York, and partner of Goldman Sachs Group.

Remember this from April of 2009?

“Without the government money,” said Bloomberg, “Goldman, Merrill Lynch & Co., Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank AG and other firms could have become some of the biggest creditors in a bankruptcy filing by AIG, the world’s largest insurer, because of the billions in losses on subprime bonds and corporate debt…

And remember this from June 11, 2011, Deutsche Bank’s Chief Casts Long Shadow in Europe, the NY Times:

[Joseph] Ackermann [long-term collaborator with Jean Claude Trichet, until recently head of the ECB – both Jewish], 63, emerged from the panic of 2008 as the most powerful banker in Europe and, depending on whom you ask, possibly the most dangerous one, too. As the chief executive of Europe’s largest bank [Deutsche Ban] and a symbol of German financial might, he is at the center of more concentric circles of power than any other banker on the Continent.

From this seat at the nexus of money and politics, Mr. Ackermann, for better or worse, is helping to shape Europe’s economic and financial future. He regularly advises politicians and policy makers on the most pressing economic issues of the day: the smoldering debt crises in Greece; the widening gulf between the economically strong nations of Europe, like Germany, and weaker ones like Ireland and Portugal; and the future of Europe’s economic and monetary union and that grand venture’s most manifest expression, the euro.

But it is no secret where Mr. Ackermann’s financial allegiances lie: with the banks. For instance, he has insisted that providing some sort of debt relief for Greece would be a huge mistake. Such a move — a restructuring, in banking parlance — would involve writing down Greece’s debt, which is now more than 140 percent of its gross domestic product, deferring payments and cutting interest rates.

What would be so bad about that? European banks, including German ones like Deutsche Bank, hold many billions of euros in Greek government bonds, and the banks would lose big if those debts were restructured.

And remember this from April 10, 2013, Europe’s Poorest? Look North: ECB Survey Puts Southerners on Top in Household Wealth, Germans Near Bottom :

FRANKFURT—German households are among the poorest…in the euro zone, according to a study by the European Central Bank that adds a new twist to the debate over how far taxpayers in Northern Europe should go to support weaker countries…

The median, or midpoint, of German households had just over €50,000 in wealth, the lowest in the euro zone. The median in Greece, was twice that, at €102,000, and five times as high as in Cyprus at nearly €270,000.

The German people, like American’s most productive, are being raped by bankers using demonization to absolve their heinous deeds, to fill the pockets of the billionaire collectivists. It is the Rape of the Industrious by the Bankers because that's where the value is,that's where the money it. How long the silence? Banzai7. How long?

I missed the post, Banzai7. Thanks.

Angela Merkel is perhaps one of the most photoshopped people in history. She has been Paris Hilton, she has been Chuck Norris, she has been Hitler, she has been naked, and she has been a Nazi, of course.

The one interesting fact here is that she has really not been any of those things. There is editorial comment which you do. But there is also propaganda which intends to defame and besmirch, and the use of the Germans in this way has gotten completely out of hand. And that’s why I am so sensitive.

I remain, of course, one of your biggest fans.

This picture started as a whoring Weimar pic by Otto Dix.

If I revere any artistic movement, its the Berlin dada artists of the Weimar period ("neu sachlichkeit"). I voraciously consume everything I can get my hands on in English. I always liked the humor in the images and respected the thought process and activism, but I never dreamt that I would be doing this. The style resonates in Europe and in the US. Why? Fascism and corporatism is once again on the move. There are many parallels. I plan to write on it again.

I think I'm gonna make a Berlin Dada shirt for myself. ;-)

And, of course, it wasn't the German people who captured the culture of Berlin and made it into the "cesspool of Europe" by the 1930s. Deja vu, all over again?

the Germans are really the 4th European empire, after Spain, France, and England. Internecine war and domination of ones neighbors is the status quo in Euro-civilization. American industrialists betrayed the Fascist movement, only to take most of its policies for themselves (Germans were the predominant immigrant group in the 1800s, and still represent most of the ethnic base of white America. We could drop the pumpkin on Japan, but never Germany). Bush held talks with Mexico and Canada over a single currency (I think its still a great idea, because Mexico and Canada have the gold, we could back that currency with gold, and save a  lot of money that we currently spend on socalled immigration problems. Europe has real immigration problem, millions of Muslims. There are about a 100 million Catholics in Mexico, and a lot of them are Republicans. Shhh don't tell the GOP)

After the bankers threw us into the first GD, the fascists offered to help, by making the trains run on time, (this was the way history was taught) Nobody would do anything unless there was some profit in it so everything came to a stop. The Germans still represent this fundamental drive toward industry and savings. I can feel that historical rub between Ben Shalom and the party of Merkel, (her people put his people in harms way once upon a time) which was wrong, but I also disagree with his policies, and my ancestry (and sympathies) extend to the party of Merkel. (I guess its just too late for Germany to do what Spain, France, and England already did, kick everyones ass and run the place, because, the culture of industry and savings, is better)

the Euro is a socialist backhanded way of implementing a fascist style economic control of the zone. so what's new? I didn't even mention the American empire, which is nascent, (not declining or finished), only because we are an extension of that Euro empire, and recently I have been wondering what our economic character is going to be, and its fascist. the page turned while Obama was in office. (buy defense stocks) I stick to my story, American Industrialists betrayed the European fascist movement in the 30's, and now they're embracing it.

all this monkey hammering of the party of Merkel will seem odd when the US extends economc influence to all of North America. this is empire building (A Bush legacy, and Obama has embraced all of it but not as much as the next guy)

this is not news. just guessing that some of those Nazis joined the party in the 30s in order to keep working and doing business, and would have embraced whoever was in power at the time. on a much smaller scale consider all the people who started wearing american flag pins after 9/11, (it was good business, and in some places it might have even saved you from a beating) then successful people were leaving Germany, for America, just as some American investors expatriot now. (i think thats a mistake but time will tell) the culture (and politics) of South America was defined by Nazi influence. (see Kiss of the Spider Woman, or Death and the Maiden) some Americans can be smarmy about this, but we have a  history of backing death squads and assissinating foreign leaders. we just never got caught throwing jews in the oven.

There are many Germans who are capable of seeing what the big picture looks like and from what I understand, they don't like it. Yes, I have asked about it many times.

Merkel in mustache is too easy and sends quite a different message. You will not find a single image depicting Merkel that way in my portfolio. I have only recently loosened up on judicious use of the swastika symbol in this context given the developing plotline. If you ask a German what they see and think when they see an old granny making fascist cookies I think you will find it to be different than what they see when the same woman is dressed up as Adolf Hitler.

Obama has already purchased exclusive rights to the mustache although McCain refuses to relinquish his sublicense.

And irrespective of whether you appreciate it or not, nothing happens by accident in my images.

For me the swastika is not convenient. It is loaded with meaning. So much so, a book has been written on the symbol itself. People who have looked at all of my posts will recognise that.

I communicate online and here in Asia.

One of my favorite waterholes is a beer house with lots of Germans in the bar. To tell you the truth, we all commiserate each other because we are all equally embarassed by our respective governments and having to explain why it is what it is to the rest of the world.

I also get messages from German media types who are silenced by their masters. They hang the pictures (not the swastikas which I can count on one hand) in the coffee room and on the doors.

My images also show up on all kinds of German blog sites regularly. German, not Greek or Spanish. And the context is not negative towards the artist.

The sad truth is, average Germans never fully bought into the Wall Street stoked EURO Ponzi idea. They were lead into it, everything seemed dandy and then it blew up. Who takes responsibility for that? No one it would seem.

But you know all this better than me.

Charles Lindberg had a swatstika painted underneath the spinner-dome of his "Spirit of St.Louis"

and some people still like Wagner's Music, like Lohengrin or the Meistersingers of Nüremberg,

even though Hitler seemed to have listened to the same music as well. Hitler also painted Water Colours

and liked to be theatrical and he was eating and sleeping like most of us. So should we give all that up just because it reminds us of Hitler ?

The earliest archaeological evidence of swastika-shaped ornaments dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization as well as the Mediterranean Classical Antiquity. Swastikas have also been used in various other ancient civilizations around the world including China, Japan, India, and Southern Europe. It remains widely used in Indian religions, specifically in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, primarily as a tantric symbol to evoke shakti or the sacred symbol of auspiciousness. The word "swastika" comes from the Sanskrit svastika - "su" meaning "good" or "auspicious," "asti" meaning "to be," and "ka" as a suffix. The swastika literally means "to be good". Or another translation can be made: "swa" is "higher self", "asti" meaning "being", and "ka" as a suffix, so the translation can be interpreted as "being with higher self".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika#Buddhism

A small, left-facing Indian-style swastika was painted on the inside of the original propeller spinner of the Spirit of St. Louis along with the names of all the Ryan Aircraft Co. employees who designed and built it. It was meant as a message of good luck prior to Lindbergh's solo Atlantic crossing as the symbol was often used as a popular good luck charm with early aviators and others.[N 3] The inside of the original propeller spinner can be viewed at the National Air and Space Museum. This propeller spinner was found to be cracked when Lindbergh arrived at New York prior to his transatlantic flight. The propeller spinner that is on the Spirit of St. Louis now, was hastily made in New York to replace the cracked original and was on the aircraft during the transatlantic flight.

"judicious use of the swastika symbol"? according to German Law there is no judicious use whatsoever - and many Germans still warn against it's use in satire abroad since they fear that it could de-sensitize it's memory

according to their logic, you can compare nazis only with... nazis

a kind of nazi-exceptionalism, if you want. has some merit, imho

whatever, are you aware of the "mixed message" you give by the FKK nekkid girls mixed with the EUR and the nazis? Of course visual satire works often with a broad brush, but I do wonder how much you know about the FKK movement - as something some tribes would never do. And a certain cultural rejection of "latin" morals... anyway, I'm giggling

Desensitize its memory. From what I can see, they have done quite a good job of preserving its memory amongst their EURO bretheren.

And let me remind you that the question of fascism is now very much on the minds of many people around the globe. Who brought that on?

You don't have to be a genius to find the pictures and punditry everywhere, incuding in the hollowed MSM. Very few have studied what it is all supposed to mean in its historic context.

Sorry, I dont think you can obliterate your past by erasing the symbols or hiding embarassing records or cancelling operas. The question is what are they afraid of? Have they done a fine job of educating their young so they knonw for themselves what it means? Well they are learning now in real time what fascism means: Nobel Peace Police.

The German leaders are tone deaf just like the Japanese leaders are tone deaf vis-a-vis the Chinese and Koreans. The negative inertia right now was not caused by the symbols. It was caused by idiots and fools who refer to themselves as a Troika for example.

Troika, what exactly does that mean? I guess it's not surprising, they are not known for being subtle.

And if you examine the hollow PR/propaganda pitch of Big Brussels, which I have, there is also plenty of good reason for mockery there as well. All the fancy music and Eurocratic weaselwords. What seemed trivial in past years has taken on a very dark tone indeed, particularly in the minds of the young who have little hope and are not permitted to publicly express their frustrations.
