The Germans are standing and cheering
Their leaders are so domineering
While poor EU nations
Face harsh regulations
Their sovereignty's now disappearing

This chef has a very sharp knife
The cuts that he makes will cause strife
No one deserves
The courses he serves
One day he may serve-up your life!
The Limerick King
CLOUD NEIN
The German's new weapon is "Nein"
They think that austerity's fine
The deal has been made
A painful grenade
For everyone south of the Rhine
The Limerick King
OLD HABITS DIE HARD
Defense of the Euro still grows
So will it survive?...no one knows
For those who will stay
A high price to pay
They soon can't afford any clothes
The Limerick King
The idol they worshipped was shrewd
Evil, disgusting, and lewd
The Prince of all lies
Had covered their eyes
And when they awoke they were nude

Austerity via Germany and Brussels for periphery = modern day Panzer's and Stuka's.
The German taxpayers can't be happy about the Euro, nor the U.S. citizens funneling our tax dollars into Euro banks via currency swaps and direct infusion via the IMF.
Big picture it is taxpaying regular folks against their banking overlords who bribe and control the politicians.
A lot of smoke and mirrors separating this reality from perception but vision is clearing for many.
Thanks for the naked Women, the great Limerick's, and the brutally honest visual combat.
Before and during WWII, Nazis were very aggressive with their Propaganda/Art. Much of it still evokes emotion even today.
What planet Nazis come from?
Are they kind of nation or political party?
Translated from German "Nazi" means National SOCIALIST Workers Party. Note it's just another mutation of socialism but with a strong nationalist element "Germany over all!" (Deutschland uber alles!)
hmm, Socialist by name, Fascist by design. the Fascists drew support from the Anti-communists. America has always had an off again on again flirtation with the Fascist business model (Military Industrial Complex) but periodically we cut the purse strings. Fighting terrorism suddenly became an economic reason to revive the business model. Yeah we need a fleet of 20million dollar fighter jets to stop those non military terrorists from rigging old explosives with cell phones. Usually the violence stops when American troops leave, which is why we're paying the Taliban to fight the army of occupation.
I never knew Euro girls could look so good.

Profound stuff from WB and Bluma Berlin ... truly illustrating the brutality and cruelty of EU 'leaders'
But as cruel, self-serving and tyrannically domineering as the EU and German leaders have been, it strikes me more and more, that, instead of Mediterranean citizens focusing their hatred on Germany or Brussels ...
The better focus of anger and hatred would be their own quisling governments, in Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Portugal (and Ireland too) ... their own traitorously corrupt leaders who are submitting to the EU - Troika extortions and mauling of their populations
Now, tragically, Southern European children are going hungry, so taxes can go to pay the Troika and banks ... Children are begging other schoolchildren for food on schoolday mornings
Local country leaders who betray those hungry children are the ones who should face the full wrath of Greek citizen fury
National leaders who submit to the EU-Troika, while local children beg their schoolmates for food, should ponder the December 1989 death of Romania's Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu in a hail of executioners' bullets.
Or the similar fate of Vidkun Quisling himself before a Norwegian firing squad in April 1946.
"brutality and cruelty"? "children going hungry..."?
You guys are serious? Do you know that stories of children eating wallpaper because too hungry come from all parts, including lately in the FT (Gillian Tett) about... Northern England?
Tax money has been misallocated and continues to be misallocated like a housewife preferring to buy a new handbag instead of paying the heating bill and you guys reduce the issue to nazi-like fiscal brutality (with prurient imagery from the FKK culture)
Plenty of tax money in Greece to feed every child - IF spent on sensible things instead of what is budgeted at the moment (and no, still less than 20% is used for debt servicing)
You are asking increases of budget deficits, i.e. lots of new borrowing and increases of debt. Do YOU have a trillion to lend - at zero rates?
Tax money is squandered, children go hungry, your solution is throw moar other people's money until the problem is buried under it? Wasn't this actually the trend that brought us the current situation?
And how do you square it off with the usual ZH position when it comes to the US?
Dear Ghordius,
With all due respect, you seem to continuously attempt to turn these Euro posts into an international pissing contest.
The subject here is Europe, not the US, not the UK, each of which has their own unique fucked up situation.
There are many Germans who frequent this site and have no difficulty understanding these distinctions. They also understand that this kind of satire is not directed at the oridnary "on-the-street" Germans. It is, however, directed at TPTB, political and bankster class.
I spend more than enough time lambasting the US which distinguishes itself with the ability to print infinite amounts of fiat toilet paper.
And while some may think this it is an attack on the notion of fiscal prudence and deleveraging, it most certainly is not.
The problem with the Troika austerity narrative is the same problem we have in the US: "What is good for the little people does not ever apply to me."
In the US we have bailout socialism for the rich and strict capitalism for the poor.
There is a similar twisted logic at work in Europe.
The German banks, DB in particular, rate right at the top of the global shit pile of klepto-financialism. They suffer from the same affliction as Goldman Sachs. They claim not to have been bailed out. Like Goldman, DB has inflicted immense damage in Europe and in the US. They behave as though they are paradigms, but they have their fingers in every facet of the the crisis and all the fraud and thievery that has been revealed since.
So while the German government does everything in its power to protect its own (this is no surprise) forgive the rest of us and many Germans as well for refusing to consume all the Troika austerity bullshit, which is basically the modern camoflage you put on a greater German EURO Panzer. Peripheral conquest by debt enslavement.
Europeans whose governments are being strong armed into going along with Berlin's Troika agenda are right to be infuriated with those who sit high on their austerity horses without accepting their own complicity. Pinstriped exemptions. This is the financial Schengen zone syndrome.
Those Europeans who were openly chastised for questioning the defective EURO experiment at the outset, have a right to be further outraged.
Meanwhile, I am mindful of the fact that the circus we have now watched unravel in slow motion for almost four years running is once again being financed through the repo back door by Ben the Schlemiel. This is why I rate the "official" German critique of the Fed's money printing addiction as yet another form of disingenuous bullshit and misdirection.

Great response and Great work today!!
"The German banks, DB in particular, rate right at the top of the global shit pile of klepto-financialism" Yes, particularly DB. But how German or even European is actually Deutsche Bank? Funny that nearly every analyst we read about happens to be an ex-squid American residing in London, eh?
DB is a megabank, a creature of the FED, first, and as such AGAINST any kind of balanced budgets, against the EUR and FOR debt enslavement
And bankGuy mentions starving children - the main reason why I commented at all
Perhaps the future will show you more clearly why I make certain distinctions in the battle lines
How German is DB is a very good question. A big chunk of it is Bankers Trust, another early FWMD culprit. And they went and cherry picked all the securitization geniuses in the City.
But they were encouraged to do all of that by politicians who deluded themselves into believing the pipe dream that Frankfurt could be a global ponzi playa. And they encouraged copycat wannabes like Commerzbank and Westphalian.
And while the squids like to prey on their favorite German finance muppets. The Germans liked to go and prey on their favorite periphery muppets.
So there is a common thread that winds it's way around the globe and it is pointless to argue that any region is better managed, because they are all under the same corrupt thumb.
the Germans have a very large export market, so they must approach the periphery in a much different way than the wall street hot money to China and Yen carry trade, the mother of all global kickback schemes. (I continue to believe Toyotas problems (were and are) circuit boards made in China, and that the Japanese are all too willing to be the go between in that business. (sell their reputation)
How German is DB is a very good question. A big chunk of it is Bankers Trust, another early FWMD culprit.
which opens the hatch to a very deep rabbit hole that few dare to go down.

"..L.S.: Okay, then let us go straight down to the nitty-gritty: Can you name the individuals and institutions of that group?
K.H.: I’ll tell you what I can do; I can point you to a very good study that was done by three systems theorists at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, ranked as the best university in continental Europe. What they did was examine the interlocking ownership of the world’s 43,000 transnational corporations using mathematical modeling tools. Are you familiar with that study?
L.S.: Yes, I am. I believe you are referring to a study which showed basically that a small group respectively “super-entity” of 147 financial institutions and multinational corporations is pretty much in control of the world economy. (3)
K.H.: Yes, that’s right. So, it’s whoever is behind that group which is in control of 1 percent of the investments but that 1 percent through corporate interlocking directorships is now in control of 40 percent of the assets and 60 percent of the revenues of this set of 43,060 transnational companies. That’s who that group is. Now, do I know who the individuals behind that group are? They’re very good at secretly hiding, so I’m not going to hazard a guess. But once we get the legal machinery in place, we will find out in great detail who these individuals are, and they will be playing by the rules along with everybody else on this planet. " ...

comment: I don't know whether to laugh / cry, shit / go blind or
just puke? it is a very interesting article but is Karen Hudes really
living in the real world or in a model of the real world and does that
make any difference/is there any difference anymore, or was it always
this way for human beings? (stated as a rhetorical outburst.)
"nitty-gritty - naming.." ie identity. the structure of the system is
there in the model ! that is the story, to me the names could be changed
and nothing changes, it is the structure of the system that functions
as it must to sustain itself at every level and that is what produces
the outcomes that are despised for their lack of rationality or irrationality.
their incoherency. ....
still, a very insightful piece and very nice work on this post mr.b7 and
mr. l.king!
"pick a name" or
"change the game"
I go with "change the game",
then and there new names.
Children eat wallpaper? In Soviet apartment, some is use porridge for glue, so not so far as can be fetched. Boris is visit China and stamp is not have glue, so is use rice paste. Later, when hungry, eat stamp. Better than bloated river pig!

They landed in hell

The Limerick King
Which comes first, the limericks or the pics?
99.99 percent of the time it's the picture...although I'm proud to have inspired a masterpiece or two. ;-)
Boris is try...
There is scary tale is be told
When decouple money from gold
Economy is get worse,
While people is become serfs
Meanwhile fat cat bankster is corrupting democratic leaders, profiting from war, destroying nation, confiscate deposit, leave embassy staff to mercy of mob, feed people water bloated pig, barbeque rat, fake fish and confiscate corn for ethanol in fraudulent sky-is-falling global warming hoax so cannot make tortilla or hash, and limit amount of soda can be sold
Sorry, Boris is try, but cannot find rhythm. Boris is must defer to lyric king and give obeisance.
Boris forget to mention unchickeny chicken mcnuggets.
Barbecue Rat is reference to fake chicken. But Boris is forgetful mention of SHAVE RAT FIRST!
LOL...you're a funny man Boris!
Second that. Boris is fail at limerick but succeed at LOL. Which gives me an idea....
To his verbs the German is cruel,
At the end they are placed, as a rule,
But Russian will say,
In peculiar way,
Definite article is not needed and indefinite article is useless as babushka on mule.
You are clever for word craft, but are also suffer challenge to make proper rhythm. Boris and Mr. Liquid Courage will drink vodka together until limerick is to sound proper rhythm, even until late late in evening.
It's all happening so fast...
......bullish.......i and i spewed on thy screen......
must towel off
give thanks
