Thanks Hulkster...it's nice to feel appreciated! Unfortunately it was a very busy weekend for the family and I. I'll try to refocus on this sorry state of affairs in the morning.

Man with a spine, testicles, and functional sense of right and wrong walking.

The occupational government in Vichy DC will hunt him down because they are deathly afraid of him, especially war girls like McCain and Graham.

Don't ask me how or why, but I instinctively held off on posting this last night.

But as I did it I was annoyed that all these whistle blowers are being villified by perjurers and common criminals dressed in pinstripes.

And I am sick and tired of listening to them tell us who the Patriots are.

The word 'hero' is bandied about way too freely nowadays. People are called heroes for doing the most ordinary things.

A real, honest-to-God HERO is somebody who sees what needs to be done, realises and accepts that he will incur a huge personal sacrifice, up to and possibly including death, and goes ahead and does it anyway - not for fame, fortune or glory - simply because it is the right thing to do.

Edward Snowden is such a person. We should marvel at the moral courage, the heroism of what he is doing on our behalf.

I hope that his sacrifice will not be wasted. I trust we will all have the courage to support him in the days ahead and use the information he has provided to fight against the ongoing assault on our liberty.

Years ago I missed the boat when the Pentagon Papers story broke. I was skeptical about Ellsberg being a hero. I still thought the govt. was here to help. After the war ended I realized how right he was. Over the years I would read about conspiracy theories and would conclude that they were just too preposterous to be true.  About 10 years ago I began to feel uneasy about so many things "not adding up". 2008 opened my eyes and I'll never look at the MSM or the fed. govt the same way as I did before.  Snowden is a patriot and deserves my respect and admiration.

A "conspiracy theory" is a mental model for sorting out the truth. It is like the proverbial finger pointing at the moon. Don't obssess over the finger. It is the moon you should be looking at.

Myths and lore are the means by which the transmission, remembrance of important, factual events were and are handed down through time.

Why has every virtually every civilization and culture a story of the "flood"?
Why is the ancient name of "Noah" one of the most pervelant through history?
The list is boundless....

Best to you, William,
K

It also illustrates the difference between love of country and love of (and obedience to) government.

Hard to stomach Feinstein (man is she looking worn) turning all GI Jane by those threats by terrorists (dismissed under Bush) and assuring us this data is for the good of the people.  Of course the only "incident" she or anyone mentions is the NY subway bombers that were allegedly stopped due to this system. The GOP rep was in her amen corner the whole time.  And BOTH non-partisanly agreed that this evil leaker must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law because he...said something he'd promised not to disclose.

Wasn't Jon Corzin under a fiduciary obligation to protect customer's accounts with all due diligence, but Corzin walks (and not the prep walk), the regulators and government turn a blind eye (hell, he bundles so much $$$ for the DNC), and the CME turns out to be a group of lying pricks (no one has lost a dime under the auspices of the CME since it's inception because the CME group "got yo' back" (well, until SHTF with MF Global then the truth comes out).  Third world countries deal with corruption; but the Western World has it honed to a science.

I caught a glimpse of Feinstein on TV the other day, standing next to a senator - Chambliss?(R) - defending the gubmint, and her eyes were big as saucers, as in freaked-out looking!  Perhaps she is experiencing a bit of cognitive dissonance these days....

All I am saying is there are sound reasons behind his decision to fly to Hong Kong. I don't see the PRC allowing this indirect feather in their cap being harmed so easily, given all the hysteria and bullshit about Chinese hackers etc.

If this were London, he would be in the can already on a Swedish rape charge.

Plus the PRC sees itself scapegoated more and more for the wrongs of the world in which it is hardly the worst offender.  The best counteroffensive they have is revealing the governments of the West as the hypocritical scum they really are.  The question remains whether the sheeple have swallowed the demonization of China completely or not.  If not, enough reality might penetrate to the masses to see that things are not quite what they have been told.
