=============
So far, this has been the best Friday humor - a literal laugh out loud.
You do bring out the finest in intellectual keeness in folks, WB...
And come to think of it, is this putting lipstick on a pig?
He is serious you know, not a parody like Million Dollar Bonus.
I know - THAT is why it is so funny - as Pogo once said: "If brains were shoes, he'd be barefoot to the knees."
What's going on in Turkey, has the regime used Chemical weapons on the protestors?
Ok chief...(pardon my French) but you are full of scheisse.
That was Frankfurt just a few weeks ago.
But the same state police tactics were applied to the Humming Birdies in Brussels earlier in the Spring.
BTW, did you read what the IMF said last week? Looks like a Troika fraud on the people for the benefit of financiers to me.
I ain't no Angloshere loyalist
And neither is @blumaberlin
And that kind of state sponsored bankstateering is bullshit everywhere it surfaces.
And I said people, not just the Greek people, the people, including German people as well.
I have a different question: who is putting you up to shilling this naive Euro horse shit you constantly bring to the table?
WADR ;-)
It looks like I missed a chance to have a discussion here... nevertheless I understand I can't convey how shallow your argument is in my old eyes
the problem is that the devil is often in the detail - for example how "attac" deliberately choose to go against agreements with the Hessian Police regarding the route to take in this demonstration
do such details really interest you, I have to ask? do you know who is behind "attac", for example, or how the Hessian Police is structured? do you make a difference between an agreed demonstration and one where agreements are broken? how much authority do you think has a Bundeskanzler in how the State police functions in Hessen? details, details
"I ain't no Angloshere loyalist" - how can you be so sure? the very fact that you have an issue with my avatar is an excellent sign for that - again, where do you think your Pig imagery comes from? are you even aware about how old this imagery is, and it's tribal history first in England, then during the Napoleonic wars and then of course in the world wars?
as much as your "who is putting you up to shilling this naive Euro horse shit you constantly bring to the table?"
William, even Nazism had it's unpaid, convinced supporters. explain to me again why the EUR is a bad, bad thing and a Brazilian Real does not get any such demonstrations. the very fact that you think someone is paying me is very naive indeed, and shows an approach against an "enemy" devoid of a perception of humanity in this enemy. you seem unaware that everybody is the hero in the own told story, and nobody ever perceived himself as the villain
nope, I'm sorry, you don't see (yet, I hope for you) how shallow the waters are in which you swim
Let's play a game, I've got your nose, hahaha!

Going offline dark for the weekend. Have a great weekend WB7.
Before I go though...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhYljlPDRhA
ok, I'll try to be gentle, then after all I am a WB7 fan
first, a cultural observation: the "Commonwealth Loyalism" is strong, in those images. Merkel as a Troika Riot Pig, Merkel as a Pig - I don't see this kind of imagery used on anybody else - and I'm strongly reminded about the imagery used against all "continentals" during the heydays of the British Empire
which leads me to second: is imperialism stronger as a force on the side of the central europeans in their dealings with Greece or is it stronger on the side of those who somehow feel the world order is out of it's natural balance by that?
all in all, my view is that Greece is a sovereign nation that is voluntarily agreeing on shrinking it's budget deficit on demand of it's creditors and supporters
and so this view of things conveyed by those images is wrong because it does not convey the way Greeks think about the matter - including the fact that they don't want to swap the EUR for the Drachma, still by some 70%
I also find the riot police imagery mixed with the EU imagery in the current world situation absolutely misleading. it would be warranted if the EU had any kind of such forces, but reality is that Greek demonstrations are a wholly Greek affair (with Greek police facing Greek demonstrators), and in a more typically continental format not easily understood in the AngloSphere more used to riots
third: I find ZH generally strangely obsessed with Greece, often finding mixed links between US confidence, gold prices and Greece where I sincerely don't think are any. and this leads me back to the Greek Diaspora in the Commonwealth, and back to the rising "Commonwealth Loyalism" so dear to both Farage and Murdoch
should you be a serious student of history - and Greece has many in it's own - then ask yourself the question if the British Empire treated Greece really that better than the EUR-bunch - which has btw a history of sticking to their deals
I know, I already hear the cry: "the banks!". sure. who helped a criminal bunch of Greek politicians to hide it's debt? The Squid. so please consider: are the current holders of Greek sov debt more on the side of the crime or more on the side of the victims? or somewhere in between?
to all Anglo-Sphere loyalists: remember that you are all structurally imperialists. particularly the free-trade-at-all-costs bunch. have a good hard look in the mirror and tell me if all this is not more projection than reality - with some rehashes from world wars propaganda mixed in it
then for me, it's about what Greeks - those in Greece - want
-------
btw, one thing that Greeks want, currently, is those German tourists back. and they are getting some, this season
LOL, excellent!
We aint got nuthin but the blues...

Oh Mn, Johhny Winter, ya al won't beleive it, I was at a Concert in Denver in1968, saw Johhny, Tim Buckley and Jimmy Hendrix jam for an encor at the end of Jimmy's show. Got tear gassed and Cs gassed twice with each on the 2nd night, back in the days when hippies got their heads smashed in Cowboy country,
Great work William, again, you will be the digital Warhol I am sure of it!

Love it WB7. Left you a comment with a little different style on disqus to consider. I gotta chill for a bit and that blues will help so thank you.(thinking cigar time) I will need some northern style bluegrass next. I know of a cool link but my fucking blood pressure level is going to give a me stroke if I don't pull a log off this fire. I will post later.
Chilled. Here is a really good one at 3:17 although the first is very good too so give both a go. It's great to see young folks around here have some talent. It's a very local style but shares a lot in common with other bluegrass music styles that occur up and down the Mississippi River States. If you are not from one of these states, it will all sound the same to you but I can assure you that it is all unique. It sure as hell is not top 40 synthetic music!
There is one more vid that I am looking for where there is very rare instrument used. I will post it when I find it.

Rocking the autoharp.
I can be sure that the phraseology "Rocking the autoharp" has never been said on ZH before. Here you have a bunch of seemingly regular mundane folks sitting around and drinking beer but there is more to them than appearances. Do we have any autoharp players on ZH? I think we have an overall global shortage of autoharpists in general. The price should be high for an autoharp player but they give it away for free because they are free spirits. They do get paid, however, in a way that is more important in that they are acknowledged by at least a few folks for their talents however non-MSM they are. It is their way of releasing from their souls that which ails them and it cleanses them for a period of time. I really want to go to one of these events and that is why I need a shitmobile camper or tent of some sort. People like this aren't fancy folks trying to present an image but rather the remaining fabric of decency that exists of American society. No tuxedos or black ties there and maybe, just some simple grilling, a few beers and a couple of tokes and let's see what happens. They are not looking for money,(not that there is anything wrong with that) they are looking for fulfillment of their soul. I seek the same.
The video quality is poor but the audio is professionally done. I hope you enjoy.:-)

I actually have one of those things, but I call it a zither.
Will the Circle Be Unbroken?
Interesting question. Can you play it? I also doubt that a zither has been much discussed on ZH much less mentioned.:-) I can play one of these though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnMXzCGNPSo
That guy is amazing. I have one and I taught myself how to play it. It takes a while. One thing that I have noticed over the years is that people become amazed when I play and then they want to try. I have never seen anyone be able to make a sound out of it on the first ten thousand tries. How hard can it be? It is really easy to get it to make a sound(for me) and have tried to explain it but to no avail but it's not on the critical list of things to be doing. The kids like it at least.
As for the circle? I will not break my end of it.
chords of the melody from The Third Man, love it.
