A Free, Quick and Easy Way to Protest Government Spying
While it’s obvious to everyone that the government is spying on virtually all of the digital communications of Americans – phone, email, Internet, credit card, etc. – the government is pretending that it only spies on foreigners and collecting our metadata (which can actually tell a lot about us).
Indeed, the government is instructing Senate staffers to stick cover their eyes and pretend that the spying documents found all over the Internet don’t exist.
One free and easy way to protest mass surveillance, educate others, and yank Big Brother’s chain is simply to add a sentence to the end of your emails and web posts.
To give you the idea: you’ve seen the disclaimers at the end of emails from lawyers, investment advisers, and similar professionals. You know, the ones that say stuff like “This is a confidential communication and can’t be used by anyone but the intended recipient”. They put the same disclaimer at the end of every single email.
Why don’t we put our own disclaimer at the end of our emails and web comments, saying:
WARNING: The National Security Agency is likely recording and storing this communication as part of its unlawful spying programs on all Americans ... and people worldwide. The people who created the NSA spying program say that this communication - and any responses - can and will be used against the American people at any time in the future should folks in government decide to go after us for political reasons. And private information in digital communications may be given to big companies by the government.
Mass surveillance doesn't keep us safe, and even the top national security experts say that we don't need it. (They also say we should get a grip.)
This may help keep the issue alive even as the government desperately tries to sweep it under the rug.

How about setting the font as microscopic Windigs symbols, white on white background. The NSA algorithms will still see the text but the average cubicle monkey won't. Better yet, tell co-workers about the NSA in person because doing messages like this at work is unlikely to wake people up and it may risk of cutting off your PM supply. The NSA won't care whether you consent or not.
The way to go after them is to clog the human bottleneck. This can be done by throwing keywords into innocuous personal calls, writing a personal email saying "Agent NMGOWINBZY will slip NQOEUQMVNI into the air conditioning at Bilderberg Group", whatever. Mostly gibberish, some fake messages with real encryption (different method every time), a few genuine crimminal confessions. Let them figure out which is which.
Would be cool if there was a NSA Mad Libs program which would insert random keywords into GRAMATICALLY APPROPRIATE places in normal crime story text, and dump the result into an ever-changing .sig file in a hidden font. All your emails could end with something like:
P.S. Did you hear that agents from [Rothschild-resisting country] set up a honeypot for [despotic congressmonkey] and got video of him doing [disgusting sex act] with a [little boy | tranny | horse] and now they own his ass? There is only one list. Just as the [Ashke]NAZIs just bundled everyone into the same cattle cars bound for Auschwitz - without grading them into 10 or 50 different levels of 'threat' - so the DHS goons will do the same when the time comes for the final clampdown. The swat teams won't be sorting people into 3, 10, 50, or whatever, different groupings ... they'll just tick off each name on the one list as they flush you out. You can be sure that they won't be sending swat teams to each area many times over, working down some priority scheme.
Playing childish games - like using Linux, TOR, Firefox and StartPage - will make no difference. You can be sure that your MAC address is the key in their Utah database, not your IP. And even if you've only ever posted one "suspicious" word in any of your emails, posts or comments, that will be enough to use against you. It's just as likely that the CIA funded TOR as they did Google and FaceTwit.
I'm quite outspoken here, yet I use still just use Chrome on Windoze7 with standard MS virus protection. It would be next to pointless to go to any further trouble. Even so, because of my careful surfing habits, I've not caught a virus in many, many years and receive almost no junk mail.

I spent a afew years in Communist Czechoslovakia while growing up; I was there in 1968 when the Russian tanks came in... We were supposed to stay in a house but they put us in Hotel rooms. Another thing to know is that your web habits are becoming identifiable by computers, like fingerprints, so you could be identified if you are in a foreign country using an internet cafe. People have typical patterns of website usage, such as the sites, sequence of going through them up, lengths of time each site, language used on comment sections, internet porn bitches, etc.
Thwart: Be aware of it, then get in the habit of changing up your patterns and changing your computers, and have more than one computer with compartmentalized uses. People from old communist countries are good at this type stuff, ask em.

Only operating system you can trust is linux because it is open, you'll be a fool trusting your privacy to ANY non open system, if you cant access the source code all the way from the root code to the user interface do not trust it, either accept that what you are doing will be seen by the government or be a sucker... I just assume that everything I say or do is accessible to them and don't worry about it. It is only fun for me that I know how to do it if need ever arises. One of the advantages of been an old timer that worked on the infrastructure of the internet and linux from the beginning... lol. THE SECRET to privacy LIKE IN ALL WARS IS MOBILITY. Anything you do that is static is screwed..
Now you just need to make sure all of your hardware and firmware is also open source.
I spent the whole day doing a conversion on my computer. Went back to DOS 3.1 to start. Then converted my email to Lotus Notes. Word processing is now done with WordStar. Spreadsheets will be done using Quattro Pro. Figured if I need to access the interweb I'll just use a 1200 baud acoustic coupled modem and Netscape. And disk storage? Who needs that? I'll just put everything on 5.25" floppies. My computer is a little slow however. I think I need to upgrade my 8086 processor, maybe add some RAM so that it has 256K. God, I wish I could find some of those old AOL diskettes. Threw them all out.
8086 processor...man you are moving up in the world. LOL. That is what was in my first home computer, a Sony, twin floppy state of the art bitchin' system.
And, I may actually still have an AOL diskette if you need one....I'll check.
