While millions of Americans fret over how it can be possible that their data and phone calls can be eavesdropped without a warrant by thousands of low level NSA analysts (some even without High School diplomas), the rest of the world can fret over who or what protects them from the prying eyes of the Netplex without the benefit of one of these.

Afterall, 99.99% of the world's internet traffic passes through the good old USA does it not?

And if Google and Facebook are selling your data to Coca Cola and JP Morgan, what makes anyone think they won't sell it to the snoops?

And what is this statutory carrier indemnification we keep hearing about?

And, BTW, how the fuck do they know who is "foreign" and who is not anywho?

Do you remember having to show your birth certificate, drivers license or passport when you opened your Google or Facebook account?

Someone should ask the Vice Chairman of Booz Allen these questions since, evidently, he is the Former Director of the NSA.

To my Dad and all you fringe low brow Zero Hedge Dads...

Don't go kidding yourself NSA.  There are a lot more of us than you think and they happen to be friends of mine.  You know who we are but we know who you are because we are neighbors.  We country boys need you to take a step back because we ain't your slaves.  Get that concept through your heads right quick.

Wow, really great stuff WB7. You have a good photographer's eye.

I've never taken Simon Black's rants seriously re:leaving the country, but you make HK look like a very nice place to live. Your photo "A Bridge Not Too Far" is especially beautiful.

Google used to use the phrase :

I guess they didn't want any competition?

Or maybe they knew they were always ratting on you.

Can someone explain to me the FED logic of building that Stasi wet dream super snooper center in Utah? No offense but Utah's not exactly a hot bed of FED love. Last time that state tangled with the FEDs the Mormons massacred them, hence the existence of said Mormon state. Those idiots manning that place when TSHTF are effed....

Do you see the pattern emerging?

I see all the spools of wire down near the front corner of the front building. I've read stories that the facility uses so much electricity that they are completely tapped-out, and that department approval is required for any employee adding even a coffee maker in an office.

William,

As a Father (and low brow fringe ZeroHedge member) I thank you for the Father's Day wish, and wish the same to you and yours.

Agree with your sentiments (and satire) 100% - any government emblem should be open to parody (1st Amendment) - and thanks for the re-do of the "USSA - STASI" emblem.

I would actually go farther and say that any public symbol or image should be fair-game for parody, but I have thought several times that it must be difficult for WB7 to nagivate this territory. I'm so glad he does though, as few do culture-jamming better than WB7.

There is a simple heuristic when you are not sure it is public domain: when in doubt subvert the meaning

Now look at all the other stuff and decide if they followed my rule.

There are other rules to follow as well, such as avoid trouble. ;-)

"While millions of Americans fret.. their phone calls can be eavesdropped without a warrant by thousands of low level NSA analysts (some even without High School diplomas), the rest of the world can fret over who or what protects them from the prying eyes of the Netplex.."

The paranoid delusional US, Isreali and British sociopathic parasites are hoovering up the entire worlds phone calls, texts and Goofy search's ....no worries, they'll only get even more f'ing paranoid as trigger words keep setting these mad hatters in an ever more frantic circle chasing phantoms

they'll be sleepless is Seattle (ok Utah) ...when President Obumination comes out with matchsticks propping up his eyelids you'll know these paranoid fucks are days away from mental breakdowns from paranoidal loss of sleep

I'd recommend all ZH'ers mention the words bomb, dynamite and Alah Attack in every post and email and set these stupid fucks off 100 times a day ...let's help them on their way to the funny farm lads ;)

Meantime Reggie the Rooster Clones (accountants) are cooking Googles ever more red ink sinking/stinking balance sheet trying to make this cancerous dying dinosaur look healthy ....it's illegal and fraud to cook the books but since Enron the Rooster Rogue Virus Army have joined the dying dinosaurs which will in a few years ahead put the final nail in their con-artist coffins

Bye Bye Reggie, Goofy and a number of old rotten institutions like Govt (too many to mention) that hang off this rotten tree

No, we're headed for a third civil war.  We tend to forget that in the first civil war, the rebels won and the nation was never reunited.  Oh Canada ... never mind.

you're headed for a civil war alright, but it'll be lines in the sand between public (parasite) sector and private (productive) sector

that war has been going on decades in fact, it's only when the trade winds change and the economic tide goes out (ie. recession) the obese lazy bums of Govt are exposed for the glutoness perverts of society they are

the sooner the likes of Apple et al leave President Obuminations shores the better ...leave Goofball to rot in Bummanations bankrupt palace of parasites ...because "he made that"

ah, it's the wires. We can't all be using satellites & digital shortwave radio - the bulk of the traffic is following the undersea cables & no one's making new undersea cable routes to avoid north america just for fun because it's expensive as all hell.

Sun, 06/16/2013 - 23:09 | 3663933 MeelionDollerBogus
MeelionDollerBogus's picture

Look at the old routes if you can find them on the sea bed for telephone wires. Any money says our Internet is following the same known paths because exploration of the sea bed is fairly expensive just for the sake of it. That's not to say that Africa won't establish sufficient bandwidth to Russia, or Russia to India & so on for their needs but if they have less need they'll build less. Also depending on who's tracking what we may not SEE the traffic reported if they don't report it. It's an easy conjecture to see that if those doing the tracking are IN North America they won't ever know if packets go right from Australia to Indonesia - not unless it's reported on that end, if they feel like it. They're not required to do so.

the telecoms traffic flow always follows the rising and lowering tides of commerce
