It's really not that simple. Some ancient people a long time ago percieved a world that western science is just coming to, having arrived at quantum physics. Quantum physics acknowledges consciousness. Dig a little deeper. Our beliefs shape our world around us.

I know a cave with a waterfall and blind fish that climb the falls.

What if a belief in newtonian/ cartesian/ rationalism was a belief in a system that does not exist?

What if collapsing the wave function is a learned/social event?

You know, there's not a member of the IDF that can prove he / she has descended from Jacob/ Israel, yet alone his son Judah with any more certainty than a member of the Bin Laden clan or house of Saud can claim they don't have any "jewish" blood coursing through their veins. If any of these murderous blowhards have a problem with that, they shoulde take it up with Rome. They're the ones that destroyed the ancient world's version of the Utah data collection center, aka the temple in Jerusalem.

I find it amusing Israel's primary reason for falling into disfavor with the Creator was / is due to syncretism. Even after their Babylonian captivity, Ezra was all over them for adopting not just the rights and customs of the people living in what's considered Labanon and Syria, but in marrying and having children with the people living there too. Many agreed, but many others, even in the "priesthood", i.e. religious influence, basically told him to pound sand.

Where do you suppose the DNA from those has ended up?

The USA has no business over there, imho. If Bo thinks otherwise, then get a house over there and move.
