Yes, but there is no Woodward and Bernstein and no members of Congress with the 'nads of ole Sam Irvin (Senate) or Peter Rodino. (House) Is Edward Snowden the equivalent of Daniel Ellsberg? The problem is that all this snooping is legal because it is done in the name of national security and under the color of law. Nixon asserted the same principle but it was rejected by the Supreme Court. This Supreme Court would never assert itself (or the constitution) against the legislative or executive branch.

Did you notice that the lead article in The Guardian states that Snowden never got on the plane from Moscow to Cuba? This was reported literally minutes ago. Yesterday I had a conversation with someone in which I said that I thought the US would never let that plane land in Cuba or that spooks would snatch Snowden in Moscow and bring him back to the US another way. It would not surprise me one bit if he were to appear in the US in a week or so. Or, we may never know if he does or not if he has been renditioned. Let's see if he resurfaces somewhere else. It is possible the Soviets used the flight to Cuba as a subterfuge anticipating that the US might try to force the plane to land someplace where they could snatch him. My friend thought this ludicrous and that the US would never force a Soviet airliner to land on American soil, but that is how arrogant and powerful these people in Washington have become. To them, the risk to US/Soviet relations is minimal and the desire to set an example for any future "whistleblowers" is paramount. The next few days will be important, but if Snowden thinks he will be safe in Ecuador he should know that the CIA/NSA have long memories.

No. I'm talking the real stuff, some of which I tried in Paris, for instance, in addition to that I've had here in the States. It really is a very, very different taste that I simply could not enjoy at all.

That Belgian beer taste is frequently derived from uniquely high levels of esters, which you either love 'em or hate 'em. Tends to have fruity/clove notes in the flavor from the yeast profile, and I agree that it complements wheat malt rather well. Summer is actually the best time to brew that style, for temperature reasons.
