Yes, but there is no Woodward and Bernstein and no members of Congress with the 'nads of ole Sam Irvin (Senate) or Peter Rodino. (House) Is Edward Snowden the equivalent of Daniel Ellsberg? The problem is that all this snooping is legal because it is done in the name of national security and under the color of law. Nixon asserted the same principle but it was rejected by the Supreme Court. This Supreme Court would never assert itself (or the constitution) against the legislative or executive branch.
What a douchebag. I can just imagine Putin quaking in his boots (with laughter that is). America is becoming the laughing stock of the world. Where on earth do you get these guys from?
Did you notice that the lead article in The Guardian states that Snowden never got on the plane from Moscow to Cuba? This was reported literally minutes ago. Yesterday I had a conversation with someone in which I said that I thought the US would never let that plane land in Cuba or that spooks would snatch Snowden in Moscow and bring him back to the US another way. It would not surprise me one bit if he were to appear in the US in a week or so. Or, we may never know if he does or not if he has been renditioned. Let's see if he resurfaces somewhere else. It is possible the Soviets used the flight to Cuba as a subterfuge anticipating that the US might try to force the plane to land someplace where they could snatch him. My friend thought this ludicrous and that the US would never force a Soviet airliner to land on American soil, but that is how arrogant and powerful these people in Washington have become. To them, the risk to US/Soviet relations is minimal and the desire to set an example for any future "whistleblowers" is paramount. The next few days will be important, but if Snowden thinks he will be safe in Ecuador he should know that the CIA/NSA have long memories.
Oh, my. Have you ever *drank* Belgian beer? Even though it has an extremely high alcohol content (a real plus, imho), it tastes so fucking awful that I would just about rather drink cat piss. (Seriously!)
Like black flies, if you haven't experienced it personally, there's just no explaining it.
No. I'm talking the real stuff, some of which I tried in Paris, for instance, in addition to that I've had here in the States. It really is a very, very different taste that I simply could not enjoy at all.
That Belgian beer taste is frequently derived from uniquely high levels of esters, which you either love 'em or hate 'em. Tends to have fruity/clove notes in the flavor from the yeast profile, and I agree that it complements wheat malt rather well. Summer is actually the best time to brew that style, for temperature reasons.
Wartune? Been fucking around with Win8 for some time now and using my other comps as well but this side banner ad is flat out ludicrous. How did Win8 tag me to the following...
LOL! Maybe meta isn't all it is cracked up to be? I don't do anything on Win8. No email, no facebook just ZH and BoatingAccident. I wonder how the algo came to it's conclusion and can I use that information against it in the future?
+1 Trillion Dollar Platinum Coin. Love the golden arc from the Chief Usurper to the now pointedly ignored and sadly worthless piece of parchment. You could put the faces of each of the sons of bitches in Congress and SCOTUS on there in turn.
Yes.. and thank you for reminding me of something.
The Utah data agrogate cespool is using a huge magnetic ribbon for their data storage. Fashioned in a figure 8 horizontally with multi read write heads on the supporting ends.
My guess was that it would be like a. Gigantic MP3 type storage.. I was wrong. Supposedly, this mag ribbon can store 100 years of global data without breaking a sweat.
They will be sorry if they actually decide to sit down and read anything or try to do anything about it. Paycheck please. Keep the unemployment numbers low. What half of the cops don't know is that other half of the cops are against them. Should be interesting.
Did HK just tell the USG to go screw itself? I think it did. To me, this alone seems to be a very significant development, like an inflection point felt around the world.
Found this on the Guardian. I think Holder and pals are having problems grokking what HK just did to them.
"On Sunday night a US justice department official said it was disappointed that Hong Kong authorities did not arrest Snowden, despite repeated contacts at senior level about the matter. "The US is disappointed and disagrees with the determination by Hong Kong authorities not to honour the request for the arrest of the fugitive," the official said.
At no point in discussions on Friday did Hong Kong raise issues regarding the sufficiency of the US arrest request, the official added. "In light of this, we find their decision to be particularly troubling.""
Funny how the DOJ fails to consider how HK might feel about the USG given all the recent revelations.
You mean the fuckers lied to us again? I had not even noticed the most recent lie nor am I surprised. Here I figured I would be droned to death by now but no one shows up to address my horrible attitude towards the state. I guess terrorists take Sunday off. Who knew?
Once again, having to get my news elsewhere beside the MSM, this UK blog has a pretty good compilation of links regarding the extent of the NSA scandal:
Been a long day for me WB7 but I am back with the family. I am starting to get the impression that they miss me when I am gone.:-) Nothing great here but a few pics worth looking at for a smile or two.
You gotta wonder about all the wasted effort/resources ploughed into keeping the waggon wheel ( lost cause ) rotating!
Just think of the savings alone on the MSM disinformation when a few of WB7 artwerks would suffice each week.
"Trust no cunt" , not even your mama or papa! Even a low brow fuck like me is having a hard time on the privacy front.
Exciting times ahead and expecting that several Z/H'ers will have a seat at the table when awarding the " thumbs down " to the shit like holder & co.
Bank Guy always listen to you but the boy has done more for freedom than most in a few short weeks.

If you want a real good laugh check out this pompus windbag senator demading that Putin hand over Snowden:

Schumer is a world class putz but this one:
"The White House National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden"
Hard to work up a sense of dread from someone who's name conjures up a pig-tailed cheerleader.
Agnes is scary...Caitlin?
"He's like...(snaps gum and holds up thumb and forefinger)...LOSER."

We can all count on Mr. Banz to play the blues nicely. It's a sad story, but a great performance.
And I really like the green tranny with the pointy hat.
You made Obama's penis too large
it's the template's, the Manneken Pis - which is a small Brussel "landmark" / fountain that sometimes pisses Belgian beer

and certainly don't confuse that corporate swill "Blue Moon" with Belgian or Belgian-style beer.
No. I'm talking the real stuff, some of which I tried in Paris, for instance, in addition to that I've had here in the States. It really is a very, very different taste that I simply could not enjoy at all.
Try Hoegarden Wheat Beer. I think your opinion might change.
+1 Good stuff.

WB7, thanks for all you do.
I've become gratefully addicted to your work.
Agreed. WB7 is Magnetic. 12711

"Pissing on Liberty". Excellent work WB7!
The HK press release is a classic.
I just want to mention, that that Lady Liberty giving the Fone Finger comes out as a beautiful print. I picked it up yesterday.
It practically brings one to tears.
Curious George is now curious kong. Maybe curious major kong
NO! But +1 for style.
Trivia: Did you know that after so many years, magnetic tape is apparently still one of the best storage media for dense computer data?
Ii was in Wired a month or two ago.
Yes.. and thank you for reminding me of something.

My 2001 base model, stick shift, Hyundai Accent has a tape deck if we need to play any of it. I think we already know though.
And yes, Barack Obama is worse than Richard Nixon...
"Miss me now?" -And we come full circle. I feel there's more to be learned about the U.S. closing the gold window...
I'm not smart enough or sufficiently well educated to understand what you are alluding to, but it sure sounds profound.

Did HK just tell the USG to go screw itself? I think it did. To me, this alone seems to be a very significant development, like an inflection point felt around the world.
Yes they did.
Holder was apparently on the phone with his HK counterpart on Wednesday harping about how they should not let Snowden get away.
I think they told him to check the Mortgage Recording Office.
Found this on the Guardian. I think Holder and pals are having problems grokking what HK just did to them.

What I'm seeing is a HK and Snowden laughing maniacally behind the bushes while Holder is stamping out a flaming bag of dogshit on his front porch.
Ding-Dong Ditchem.
You just don't want to be seen wiping smoking shit off your shoes by the neighborhood.
Maybe I was just an evil child...
Now THAT'S funny.
They really rubbed it in, starting with the colloquialism: Meanwhile...
You mean the fuckers lied to us again? I had not even noticed the most recent lie nor am I surprised. Here I figured I would be droned to death by now but no one shows up to address my horrible attitude towards the state. I guess terrorists take Sunday off. Who knew?
That was a nice touch.
But they should have added that the prisoner release forms are blue. :-)
